We had questions concerning mattresses and narrow entrances. We ended buying a bed, table and chairs and a couch. All the furniture was delivered any hour later. Prices were reasonable. Now, the staff was very friendly but, amazingly, they didn't have all the inventory that other Bob's have. It was limited and didn't have what I was shopping for, even though it's a pretty popular piece. Although the staff was willing to help me order it online, I left. I really wanted to see the couch so I could sit on it. The salesman said he would call me in 45 minutes with information where to find the closest Bob's that had the product in store (He then wanted me to call him after I saw it to place the order with him), but I never received a call. He dropped the ball on it. No follow through. Oh well, there are better Bob's out there (see my other reviews)

A high school student, a really kind soul who is academically motivated despite many obstacles, was suddenly without a bed through no fault of her own. I slowly figured out she was sleeping on a wood floor without complaint. I asked around with low expectations and kindness prevailed. Craig, from Atlantis Discount Mattress & Furniture, heard about the student's situation and donated a NEW boxspring, mattress, and bedframe at no cost. FREE. We picked it up in Coram within 24 hours and delivered it to the family. It takes one kind person to listen. Just one kind person to care. And, one kind person to act because they could. Sometimes, random circumstances lead to heartwarming encounters that remind us that love and kindness matter. Craig, you should have seen the look on her face when delivered. All because YOU cared. Bravo, Atlantis Discount Mattress & Furniture. Thank you.

The transformation of a 1960's home into an open concept was remarkable. Now of course, you are left with the task of rearranging furniture. Backtrack on that, out with the old, in with the new. We have been using Joe Evans at Ethan Allen furniture in South Setauket for many years. Our house has literally become a small warehouse for their furniture. What I love most is the level of professionalism and customer service that we have gotten from Joe. It's not just about selling furniture, it's literally about designing a comfortable and beautiful home. Joe knows the current pieces in the showroom as well as a huge selection of upholstery. I love the fact that a couch can look so many different ways depending upon what it is upholstered in. Most stores don't offer this high end customized option. Enter your typical Long Island furniture store. either get gray, brown, maybe occasionally a blue and some more gray! It's like ice cream, vanilla , chocolate or strawberry. Ethan Allen's 's furniture is worth every penny because you get what you pay for. It is incredibly durable and extremely well made. Certainly you can get less money however, I have not found the sane long lasting quality. Joe has come to our home to help us to measure, come up with pieces and ideas as well as things is small is picking out paint colors/ He now puts it on a computer with an architectural rendering of what the room would look like. It actually came out better than it looked on a computer screen and a print out. I could not be more pleased with the outcome and look forward to many many happy years even if I'm in quarantine. At least I'm in my Shangri-La!

With storefronts closing left and right that is no assurance. and we move from state to state every few years... their word without a single written thing to give you guidelines or a contract to go off of is a joke... and they failed to mention at the time of purchase that the material is only covered for a year. After spending $10,000 for a set of couches and two chairs that are supposed to have a lifetime warranty you would think they would come delivered clean or even that the material would hold up for at least a year. Unfortunately, the couches were delivered with hand marks on them. Happened at the factory because delivery guys removed the plastic to find them there. When I contacted the store their initial response was could we wipe it off... Needless to say, it took a couple of weeks for them to get someone out to "clean" them. Even Worse the material was splitting on one of the couch cushions within 9 months. this is when they informed me a repair would be covered this time but that the warranty on material only lasts for 12 months. So much for that lifetime Warranty The staff was great but disappointed with the product we purchased.
