My wife was about 4 months pregnant and having a real tough time sleeping so we decided to look for a new mattress in hopes that would help. We met with Michael Mallanda who was knowledgeable, accommodating and truly understood our needs. He had us try several different models and explained the differences in each mattress. When we decided upon the mattress, he mentioned how an adjustable base would be a great addition as my wife could elevate her feet or use the massage feature to be more comfortable in bed. This was something I never considered and I can tell you it has made a HUGE impact - my wife sleeps like a rock! If you are looking for a new mattress, I highly recommend speaking with Michael for the best mattress shopping experience. Awesome experience with Gil! My back and neck had been killing me and I stopped in at Sleepy's on my way back from the Hamptons as a suggestion from my chiropractor to get a better pillow and mattress. Gil was so extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions without at all being pushy and he was super understanding. He really set my mind at ease with my purchase and I even got two pillows which are by far the best pillows I have ever had. I'm so excited about my new bed! It was my first time buying a bed for myself and I didn't know where to start. I walked into Sleepys without really knowing what I needed. Chris Stewart helped me out at the Riverhead location, it was a great experience. He was so kind, patient and professional! Excellent customer service there; I was really worried about being rushed into buying something that I would later regret. Wonderful experience. The store manager Mike was friendly and knowledgeable, a true professional. He answered all my questions and thoroughly explained all my options (and there were plenty of options both in style, firmness, price, etc) . Mike was patient, friendly and personable. Best of all, I ended up with the bed of my dreams, at a great price. I was even able to get two amazing pillows and a protective bed cover in the deal. Delivery was flawless, day, evening and even Saturday options. Delivery was promised between 4 -8pm and they arrived at 4:05pm (they even called to let me know when they were 20 minutes away). i bought a mattress here 5 years ago. it was the week before they changed from sleepys to mattress firm. i bought a beautyrest and an adjustable base. it was not inexpensive. i was told by the manager that i could buy a 10 year warranty that would cover everything "soup to nuts". everything was eventually fine and i slept on it for 3 years, then one night i was raising the head and "thunk". the head fell to almost flat and i called them the next day. they were now mattress firm. i spoke to a warranty person they transferred me to. i found out that the only thing covered in the 10 year warranty was the adjustable base. so 4 years ago i attempted to have it fixed. no dice. they tried to sell me a new mattress over the phone saying if i bought another mattress i could get another base. i am disabled and really needed the base to work, hence the 10 year warranty. the mattress crapped out at 4 years and they referred me to the manufacturer of the base which got me nowhere. i will never buy another thing from mattress firm. they keep giving me the runaround. i sleep on this broken platform that has now started physically falling apart. there is a vertical crack in the glueboard in the middle by my head. when i wake i have been falling into the middle of the bedduring the night and can't get out i did everything they asked of me and i still have years on the warranty. i've put all the pieces in a box as they have fallen off. pictures will be added after monday. they will not even stand behind their products. total scam read more
