Since we have a small family room, the first question I asked was if a specific measurement range for sofas were available to make and/or try at the store. The second question I asked was regarding the fabric material and if it pils. My third question I asked was regarding the material of the cushion/if it was made of memory foam. As soon as I asked this third question, I was told that I asked too many questions and advised to go to La-Z-Boy or come in person to his store, not to mention that he quickly hung up on me. I did not realize that asking three questions, let alone shortly after opening hours, was considered too many questions. Instead of taking ownership of not knowing the answer to my third question, I was gaslit into thinking that I was in the wrong for asking that question and turned away as a potential customer. I wanted to be supportive of a local business but it seems like customer service is much better in larger chain retailers. The only positive was that I didn't waste my time driving there and experience the worst customer service in person.

Asked a salesperson named Gail to sell us chairs that we could on their website. Total would have been about $2k, over and done in ten minutes. Gail derided them as "imports" (even though most of the stuff in the showroom is made overseas), showed us nearly everything else in the store, and ultimately pressed us to buy chairs that were literally 10x more expensive than the ones we asked about. Every time we asked about the ones we wanted she told us about something far more expensive. As we left, she offered to print out data sheets about both chairs. She gave us the sheet for the super-expensive chairs, but somehow forgot to include the sheet for our first choice. I have zero faith that any deal with these people would go as expected and I'll never buy anything from them.

It was a true Danish piece, it was teak, it was vintage, and most importantly it wasn't ridiculously over-priced like a lot of tables on eBay or Craigslist. I must have had a completely different experience then some of the other reviewers at Antique Importers. The owner, Chris I believe his name is, was very friendly the entire time I was in the store. He never followed me around with his arms crossed, scowling, or treating me like a potential criminal, and yes, I do fall into the 25-30 year old looking age range. Actually, he was quite helpful and answered several questions that I had regarding the table and even took $10 off the delivery cost for me as I didn't live too far away from the store. Oh, and they even delivered the table on a Sunday evening after they closed! How many places have service like that these days? None of this "we'll be around sometime between 1pm-4pm on a Wednesday" b.s. that most places stick you with. If you're looking for larger furniture pieces, tables, chairs, sideboards etc, then you should check out Antique Importers for sure. I have never even stepped foot in a Lazy Boy store -- but I wanted to get reclining movie theater seats in a lush leather fabric so we strolled in -- and that's when our lives UPGRADED! I HIGHLY you don't just go in a browse -- it's too overwhelming. Instead I recommend you work with Margaret -- who is the designer for the store. I told her, "I am not really a lazy boy person!" She said, "I get you! What's your favorite furniture store? What's your style?" I said, "Z- Gallery. I like fancy and sparkly!" She said, "I can make Lazy Boy look like ANYTHING! Let me make your living room in Lazy Boy but it will feel like a Z-Gallery experience!" I thought, ok, whatev -- it's free. Let's see what she's got. OMG! SHE DID NOT DISSAPOINT!! She came to our house, measured our rooms and went back to her store and created a 3-D design for us. When we saw her 3-D concept for our living room -- our JAWS HIT THE FLOOR! It wasn't pretty... it was BREATHTAKING! Her services are free! Complimentary!!! She found all the pieces - according to our tastes (leather, shimmer, sparkle and velvet) and worked well with the considerations for both my husband's and my preferences. She helped us find agreements when we were wanting different things. I am good with design and color -- but I am NOWHERE nearly as talented as Margaret! WORK WITH HER! She will show you what you don't know and can't see! I cannot wait for our items to be delivered. I will write a follow up review at that time. I have to say, the discounts -- Black Friday - made it doable for us to remodel our whole living room in Margaret's concept. Lazy boy is truly blessed to have her talented self there. I went Looking for a local, small business and found The Memory Mender. They came out to give us a quote and it was such a great price to do the entire refinishing job, I hired him on the spot! He showed up on time for the quote and for the work. It only took him 1.5 days. He did the job without taking off the cabinets doors, so I did not need to unpack the contents. He completely cleaned up at the end of each day. We are very pleased with the results and may hire them to do the same in the 3 bathrooms. See picture. I would definitely recommend this company!
