The new location is easier to find than their previous location as they are now off the 95 and Lake Mead. In the past couple months I have attended their grand opening, a Thanksgiving charity workout and a boot camp with my Casspass membership. Even though my attendance here is sporadic Mel is always welcoming and the workouts are always challenging, different and fun. His answers were limited to short, one-word responses, and he showed no interest in actually assisting me. Instead of listening he repeatedly cut me off! He became increasingly irritated, and never properly answered my questions.. As a customer, I felt disrespected and greatly undervalued. Because of Colin's arrogance and lack of basic customer service skills, I ended the call without getting the information I needed and am now seriously considering canceling my membership. Someone with this attitude should not be working in customer service. Colin needs to correct his behavior, because this interaction left a very negative impression about Planet Fitness

At that time my blood panel lab work showed an elevated ALT (liver enzyme reading) of 69, above the normal range of 56. A number that high tends to indicate the liver is being affected typically by high alcohol consumption or fatty liver aka excess visceral fat encasing the liver and I don't have a drinking problem. After following healthier eating habits and working out five days consistently at HCF, my new lab work taken the last week of April 2022 shows my ALT at 16. That is a decrease of 53 points. So while I've lost 31 pounds on the outside so far, this measurement tells me I am without question becoming healthier on the inside too.

I was a bit grossed out by the "cleanliness" and the idea of lying down on the floor to stretch where people walk around in their shoes (there's so much nasty stuff from walking around outside!!). I was also under the impression/told this class was for all levels of fitness, but it seemed like it really didn't matter if we (the entire group) were literally of all different ages and levels of fitness or physique. I thought there would be more individual guidance for the movements we needed to do, but we were pretty much told (after the coach quickly explained each station), to go pick a station and get started. I wasn't sure if the positions I was standing in and sitting/squatting down in were correct or not. There's no way to see my reflection or have anyone who had experience tell me. One of the movements was to squat down while having one leg forward and across diagonally, so the knee is bent and at an angle, sort of like a curtsy position. I feel that because of that movement and not being told if I'm doing it correctly or not, I messed up my knee where I felt some sudden pain behind and around my knee area a couple days later. My vein specialist/doctor did an ultrasound on it today and saw that there's fluid in my knee that wasn't ever there before, and because of that it put pressure on another vein and caused it to "pop". He said it was probably due to straining and if the knee was twisted or at an angle. He mentioned that specifically before I ever said anything about trying out new exercises! Even despite my injury, my rating would probably be the same...the music was SO loud it was hurting my ears a bit, and I really did not want to be listening to club music. There's other music to work out to besides EDM. This just unfortunately and definitely was not what I was expecting based off of the business info and reviews I read up on.
