My "home" fitness studio is at TruFusion so it's great to switch things up a bit. I attended the full body conditioning on Monday evening and my instructor was Dorian. I introduced myself and told her it was my first class. She was very welcoming and gave a general explanation what I would be expecting with class. You start off with a light warm up and then she explained the different stations. You're either doing jump ropes, split squats, burpees etc. Our "break" was to take a run out in the back lot. Now THAT was challenging for me because I do not run nor do I enjoy running lol. The class was 45 minutes and that was perfect. There are plenty of different classes throughout the day so it's convenient to fit anyone's schedule.

I don't know if that's something that they're adding in later or was previously there, but there is this little area that looks like it's a eating area (I could be wrong.) there's a lot of places to hang out when waiting for class to start. I took a candlelight Yin with Timberly. And to this day, it's still one of my favorite Yin classes that I've ever taken. It was absolutely amazing, I felt like I was floating when I got out of that class. Super relaxing, she is such an amazing instructor and has one of the best energies I've ever had in an instructor ever. She also did a sound bath at the end of class and it was transcending. I absolutely recommend her candlelight Yin Class! You will leave feeling renewed. I really like that the studio is in a separate area where it has its own hallway that's closed off so you're not hearing any of the outside noise. I also really love that Tru Fusion Summerlin does their fitness on the lawn classes. I do those quite frequently and it is a really amazing experience! And they give you a really awesome variety of different types of classes to try out! It's a monitor-guided workout, but the exercises and stations are explained ahead of time, which I really appreciated. I've been to other studios where the monitor setup can get confusing, especially if you're not a regular. Here, the monitors showed exactly what you needed to know for your station, so it was easy to follow along. The exercises can also be modified if needed, and I liked that you had enough time at each station to focus on your form and progressively overload without feeling rushed. I think this is an especially great class for anyone who isn't very familiar with weights, barbells, kettlebells, etc., and wants structured programming and guidance. You get a good workout without having to figure everything out on your own. Dulce was the instructor, and she was welcoming, friendly, and clear when demonstrating the exercises. She made the class feel approachable, even if it's your first time. I'd definitely recommend giving this bootcamp a try, especially if you're looking for a structured, guided workout!

It was easy to find and this studio is conveniently located off the 215 freeway Flamingo Rd exit. My check in experience was quick and straight forward and the front desk receptionist was genuinely friendly. She gave me a quick tour of the studio and there are heated and non-heated rooms. The women's locker room was clean and did not have any funk odors lingering. There are showers available here. Here's where I had to knock off a star. There's lockers provided but they don't have the lock combination attached to said lockers. You can rent a lock & key from the receptionist and they take your driver license as collateral. Now I had to spend my entire class not to misplace or get that key lost. So I let the instructor (Toni) know it was my first time here at the studio. She did not bother to really show me what kind of weights and kettlebells I needed. I had to ask a fellow classmate what kind of equipment I will need. Also, I think it should be a safety precaution to ask a new student if they have been in a hot room before but she didn't ask me. I've been to other hot yoga/hot pilates class and the instructors always ask if there's any first timers. That way, they can keep in eye out for them throughout class. Maybe she assumed I've already been in hot rooms before since I "look" like a physically active person? IDK. It's fun to try out new work out studios around the city but personally, it's most likely I won't be coming back to 103 Hot. If I do, it'll be another class besides Barefoot Bootcamp.

I reached out several times trying to resolve the issue, but the response continued to be that I had signed a contract rather than addressing what I had previously been told regarding the reduced fee. My partner and I had actually planned to return, and over the years he has referred several people to Raw Fitness. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will be looking for another fitness center instead. I enjoyed working out at Raw Fitness for many years, but my experience with the current management and the way this billing issue was handled changed my opinion of the business.
