I came here last week for a trial class, and unfortunately, this was not the type of class I was hoping for. I left after just two stations/15 minutes. I was a bit grossed out by the "cleanliness" and the idea of lying down on the floor to stretch where people walk around in their shoes (there's so much nasty stuff from walking around outside!!). I was also under the impression/told this class was for all levels of fitness, but it seemed like it really didn't matter if we (the entire group) were literally of all different ages and levels of fitness or physique. I thought there would be more individual guidance for the movements we needed to do, but we were pretty much told (after the coach quickly explained each station), to go pick a station and get started. I wasn't sure if the positions I was standing in and sitting/squatting down in were correct or not. There's no way to see my reflection or have anyone who had experience tell me. One of the movements was to squat down while having one leg forward and across diagonally, so the knee is bent and at an angle, sort of like a curtsy position. I feel that because of that movement and not being told if I'm doing it correctly or not, I messed up my knee where I felt some sudden pain behind and around my knee area a couple days later. My vein specialist/doctor did an ultrasound on it today and saw that there's fluid in my knee that wasn't ever there before, and because of that it put pressure on another vein and caused it to "pop". He said it was probably due to straining and if the knee was twisted or at an angle. He mentioned that specifically before I ever said anything about trying out new exercises! Even despite my injury, my rating would probably be the same...the music was SO loud it was hurting my ears a bit, and I really did not want to be listening to club music. There's other music to work out to besides EDM. This just unfortunately and definitely was not what I was expecting based off of the business info and reviews I read up on. read more

I fell in love with fitness at f45! F45 is full of friendly, professional, funny and kind trainers! I have loved working out with Tianna and Devany! I felt so encourage my first class, they modified exercises for me, fist bumped me throughout my work out and when I came back for my second workout they were genuinely excited to see me. My fellow trainers were super sweet and welcoming. I feel like I am a part of a community here! Brandon the manager is so sweet and kind! I love his laugh! The gym is clean, the work outs are hard and totally modifiable and you're at each station fot 45 seconds. Positive-everyone was so friendly and inclusive. Once I understood the flow of the class it was a great workout and the equipment is top notch so you can train different muscles or the same muscles a different way. Not so positive- As a first timer, their initial intro of the class structure was lacking. I was early to class to leave time for this but it felt like there was a lot of wasted time in the paperwork. If it's your first time, plan to be confused for a good 10 minutes. I'll be real when it comes to working out and fitness I know nothing. Come on now have you not seen my belly or seen me eat!? Lol jk. For real though F45 is pretty fun and addicting. For 45 minutes you're jumping between various exercises with little rest in between. All of the exercises are demonstrated at the start of the workout but if you forget they're displayed on some screens up in front, it's easy to follow. The great thing about it is each day there's a different class, one day you'd be doing cardio, the next you could be doing resistance training. Also the routines are different so one cardio day would be different from another cardio day. Classes aren't too difficult if you're a beginner. But if it's too easy push yourself a little harder. Classes start as early as 5:15 in the morning with the last being at 6 in the evening. They even had a DJ at one of Saturday classes. The instructors are awesome. They'll cheer you on and push you. They'll applaud you for finishing. Everyone gives high fives and are very friendly. They're really good at remembering your name. Showers are available if you need them, there's two of them. They utilize an app so you can see what classes are available, who the instructors are, and other things. If you're a little bit curious about F45 they were offering a two week pass. Some people really love F45, I would just warn everybody to not sign any contracts until you know for sure that you like these type of classes and workouts. We signed a 6 month contract ($180 per person per month) because my wife wanted to lose some baby weight and thought that she was ready. A month in she noticed that her hips would hurt for a week after every workout so she stopped. It took us a few months just to get into see a doctor and it turns out that she has sciatica and the Dr. has told her that she needs to stop working out period. At this point we're 5 months into the contract and have paid for months of classes that we never attended. They were willing to waive her cancellation fee, but not willing to waive mine. At the end of the day we signed the contract and it doesn't look like they have any flexibility when it comes to cancellations. We should have called and tried to freeze or cancel earlier, but my wife kept believing that she just needed to push through the pain. My main gym was going through a move at this time and I wanted an option for early morning and evening workouts so I activated a 30-day Groupon. The class styles have not changed since my initial two-week trial. The instructors were not familiar to me but they were all upbeat and friendly. The 5:30 morning option is perfect for my work schedule as was the 6:15 evening class. The a.m. class was never to full capacity during the time I went. Once I think there were only three of us. Evenings of course there were more people. The Saturday circuit is the most crowded and my favorite because there is a live DJ and in group classes like this more people, more energy. What I like about F45 is it's quick cardio that you don't have to think about. There is resistance but I would compare that more to a Bodypump then dedicated lifting. It's monitor based training style similar to Orange Theory or Power Hour 360 where there is an instructor guiding you but the workouts and timing is on a monitor. The only negatives, in my opinion, are I think the price point is a little high for this type of training but that is all relative to the individual. Also, if you want to take a class in the morning and then again in the evening it's going to be the same exact class as it's one format per day and I found some of the class styles to be a little repetitive. Besides what I might perceive as some negatives I would still recommend checking out their free trial or grabbing a Groupon because it's a great fitness option. read more

I was introduced to F45 through a Yelp Fit event and I was in love the moment the class started. I am very lazy when it comes to working out and F45 is the place to kick the lazy out of a person. The equipment and routine are set up prior to class starting. The coach walks you through the routine and gives modifications if needed. Warm up time and then you are off. Depending on what day and what class you are taking will depend if it's cardio, weights or a combo of both. Also the number of reps, number of stations, time at each station, and rest time varies. That's what I like. Your body and mind won't get bored here because every day is a challenge. Staff greets you by name and pushes you in just the right way. High fives all around after class. 45 minutes go by quickly. You will sweat, you will be sore, and you will be thankful for the workout you just had. *per an F45 Facebook video, I learned the definition of Functional 45 Training. "The routines are imitating our day to day type movements to help keep clients mobile." Whether it be squatting down to pick up something or carrying groceries. Routines at this gym are going to help you become stronger and have more endurance. There are so many great things to say about F45 I don't know where to start! Maintaining a healthy lifestyle has always been important to me. I have had memberships to several different gyms around town but just going to the gym wasn't cutting it for me anymore, I was looking for something different and F45 was it. I remember my first day at F45, I was nervous and skeptical. Right away, Nathalie, one of the trainers, noticed I was new and she made me feel right at home. There are a few other coaches that pay attention while you're working out that deserve a shoutout too. Went from 185 to 160, wife went from 130 to 105. The offer provides a circuit training program in a medium sized, brightly lit, tidy facility filled with different types of equipment used to aid in your work out. Your daily grind consists of three different laps with three different work out positions which you must push through for 45 seconds each, 3sets each, completion time is 45 minutes. Every day is a different workout with different intervals the only consistancy is the completion time of 45 minutes. I have two days left of my 7 for 7 deal and I must say I like my reflection. This establishment makes me smile every time I walk in because you are constantly greeted with friendly smiles, a room full of different body types (small, large, healthy, fit, oversized, etc.), and at the end of the work out you sweat a river which leaves you feeling even more motivated because it is proof the routine works. 45 minutes later, you are rewarded with encouraging high fives from everyone. Such an awesome facility! I'm definitely a group fitness girl, because I love the energy of taking classes. But I am an admitted cardio junkie, so I've always struggled to force myself to do strength work, and without a personal trainer, I get lazy. F45 somehow strikes the perfect balance between the push of personal training and the fun and teamwork of group fitness classes. Every day is a different workout, and even though they are only 45 minutes long, they are intense and work every muscle of your body! They definitely will push you, but they can modify the workout to fit any fitness level- from beginner to pro athlete. You never hit a plateau, because it's different every time! The trainers are super fun and energetic, and push you in a really supportive and motivating way. It's definitely a family vibe there! My friend invited me for a free class to check out this gym and while I loved the class and the instructor, it just didn't fit my lifestyle. I told them I would contact them in the future if I was interested. Someone new started messaging me and calling me and I let her know several times that I would reach out if I was interested. I continued to get messages even after I asked them to please go ahead and remove me from their communications. I emailed Cienna to ask her to please stop contacting me and she responded it must have been another gym, but the texts have her name and F45 Summerlin on them.
