I took an 8am yoga class with literally THE BEST yoga instructor, Janet, I've ever had. (I've been practicing yoga 19 years now) What enhanced the experience even more for me was Janet was training a new yoga instructor, Lisa and she was AWESOME to. I was struck by both of their kindness, dedication and knowledge to their crafts. The yoga studio, itself, was stunningly beautiful and in perfect settings. Before I post a review I try to read the other reviews so that I don't sound repetitive when I write one. I was struck by people complaining about price? Look, I love LVAC and won't denigrate them but if you are trying to compare LVAC to Lifetime, truly, you aren't even comparing apples to oranges because at least those are both fruit. If you are trying to compare LVAC to Lifetime you'd be comparing jolly rancher's candies (not bad candy) to a perfectly cooked steak dinner, with succulent mashed potatoes and perfectly steamed and seasoned broccoli. I mean they both are gyms, I guess, like both those examples are food. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. Yoga, Alpha training, lots of equipment, perfect Pilates, basketball courts, pickle ball courts, swimming pools, outdoor swimming pools and even with all!? I just listed, it's my first day, I'm sure I missed some stuff. I find the value to be immense and think, even with the price, I'm getting a deal. Personal trainers are like predators praying on you like animals to lure you into one of their 160+ " per hour" session which ends up being 40 min Pilates instructor did what she wanted despite me telling her my neck is hurt - it ended up giving me bad neck pain and muscle spasm that I ended up going to physical therapy. My family is long time members at the green valley location and we love it. Our families schedule revolves around green valleys offerings including summer camp and parents night out. We love it so much we don't even complain about the insane price tag because it offers our family so much. Today we visited the Summerlin location I can't comment on the cleanliness or facilities because we were not even let in the door. I arrived at 8:10pm with my family with the intention of watching the aviators fireworks from the pool deck. Because of this plan we purposely did not go to the game since I had to work late and we thought it would be a nice relaxing view. The lady at the front took one look at my two kids (who have been members their entire lives) and simply said there is nothing for them here right now. I was so confused I asked for clarification could we use the outdoor pool to watch the fireworks? She was super rude and just shook her head no. For 500 dollars a month you could atleast respond. Green valley would never employ such incompetent people at their front desk. My kids were absolutely distraught but honestly it was my fault for not checking the hours. I got the idea that I could drive to the top of the parking structure and still watch the fireworks. When I got up there I went to check the outdoor pool and there were people swimming and laying out watching the fireworks. I know green valley is considered more "kid friendly" but this seemed over the top. Even if I lived in shit hole Summerlin I would probably drive to the other club just to avoid these hateful people. I was a member for almost 2 years before leaving and I had conflicting experiences. It's a very large, very nice gym. I liked that they had staff constantly cleaning women's changing rooms, that was fantastic. The pools and hot tubs were really nice, and I loved the steam room where they pumped eucalyptus scent. It was also nice that they had special rooms for yoga and reformer Pilates. They only had 3 hydromassage beds which were always fully occupied with multiple people waiting. My reformer Pilates trainer Danielle H., also the manager for the Pilates studio, she was amazing, one of the best trainers I've ever come across. I did private sessions as well as classes with her. I had a pinching pain in my upper left back that the doctor suggested I get injections for to manage the symptom but Danielle helped me figure out that I was flaring my ribs, it was basically bad posture. She helped me correct my posture, and the pain went away, this was over a year ago. She's very detailed oriented and great at correcting form. Lauren E was my personal trainer and I loved her too. She really has a fantastic personality and she's flexible in terms of designing the training program around what you need and want, with timing and everything too. She's also professional and straight forward when it comes to pricing unlike some other trainers, and quick to respond to texts. She's not only a good trainer, she was also good at the business side of things. Janelle was this trainer I saw 2-3 times and she seemed very knowledgeable and experienced in what she does, but her pricing system was ridiculous. I told her that I could not afford to see her 3 times a week like she wanted me to at the price she was offering, so she kept coming back to me with different pricing plans, and the less frequent the training sessions, the higher the pricing per session got (which is normal) but hers went up by a significant amount, it was up to $300 per session which is bizarre. She also kept switching pricing on me, she would tell me one price in person or over the phone, then text me a different price. When I questioned her about it, she said she can't discount her expertise or something along those lines. I was just trying to clarify the discrepancies in her pricing throughout our multiple conversations. Naturally, I did not go with her, she had zero business acumen. Londyn was another one who was genuinely good at her job, but was completely lacking on the business side too. I did dynamic stretch with her and she was really good. However, she initially gave me a price of $120, which I agreed to and was going to buy a couple sessions with her, then during that one session, she told me she had not charged me yet and would charge me after my session. Later that night she texted me that the price was $150, I questioned her about it and she said that lifetime had increased their minimum prices and could no longer charge me $120, she said the lowest she could go was $135. I checked the app and saw that it cost $130 to book a dynamic stretch session with her. After some back and forth, I told her to go ahead and charge, and then I tried to explain to her that while I understand that trainers are allowed to set their own pricing, it's about trust and accountability. You have to tell me ahead of time how much I'm expecting to pay. I didn't get a reply from her first over a day, so I cancelled all of our future sessions on the app. On top of that, she was flirting this guy walking around the gym during our stretch session while she was massaging me. She made a comment to the guy who was walking around with his service dog and an arm sling. He passed us several times and the 2 of them made more random comments to each other during our session. The guy finally walked over, pointed his finger straight at my head while I was lying face down and asked her what she was working on with me. They chatted a bit and she ended up either giving him her business card or phone number. Couple days later I saw them working out together on the 3rd floor, it did not look like a training session, it looked like they were working out together, he was even tapping her thighs while she was doing one legged hip thrusts on a box. She told me she has an Italian boyfriend in the military currently stationed in north or South Carolina and she's living in his apartment that he pays for in Las Vegas. I had some really nice yoga teachers that I liked a lot. I kept telling my husband Jenny H was my favorite yoga instructor. She really seems like a wonderful person, and I really enjoyed her yin classes and chatting with her. Janet Z was also amazing, she always made classes so fun, welcoming and sociable. She would even say hi to me just walking around the gym. I absolutely loved my hairstylist Vanessa. If they allow it, I'll probably continue getting my hair cut with her. read more

Better parking is a must. Staff on the strength training floors is truly needed. They have limited number of various machines. The members are very self, entitled, taking 20 to 30 minutes in between sets to look at their phones text messages or just sit there staring at the other members. There is no staff on the floor to help with people who cannot adjust the machines. Courtesy for other members is nonexistent. I have been working out in various gyms for over 50 years. Common courtesy has always been to leave the machine on zero or the least amount of resistance for others. Not everyone can take and lift 50 or 75 or hundred pound weights. It's also courteous to wipe the machines down. The members of Lifetime, our self entitled spoiled people with no consideration for the other members who also pay the exorbitant fees None of that happens. The tone of the gym is not one of a serious gym. People wearing full makeup, extended lashes, and workout clothes that leave zero to the imagination. Not everyone does this, but the majority of people do. I belong to Lifetime and to LVAC. Sadly, I have to say LVAC members are more serious about working out, dress to work out , and are definitely more courteous. It does help that they have many more machines. With that said another bonus for LVAC is they do not charge $400-$500 per month for the membership. read more

I really like this gym, I can spend hours. The fitness part is massively big and I never had to wait for anything. I enjoyed the pool several times this summer. I like using the indoor pool, sauna and hot tub as well. The shower area is well provided. The cafe is very decently priced. The only thing I have an issue with is that the parents are in the pool area fully clothed with shoes. I wear shoes here at all times to prevent any type of fungus or whatever on my feet, it's not hygienic. I'm Europe this is unthinkable, the parents always have barricaded areas next to the pool but can never enter fully clothes to the water side, they should consider that here too. Another issue is bad phone service and bad wifi signal so I pretty much don't use my phone during my visits which might not even be such a bad thing:) read more

I've been a member since 2015 and have cancelled my membership as of the end of August 2021. My husband and I pay $236 a month but we just didn't see ourselves coming often to the gym for a couple of reasons. 1. Way TOO many kids. Good luck trying to swim after school during the school year. Constantly packed with kids. 2. Seems like constant pool closures due to kids pooping or vomiting in the pool. We went to the July 4, 2021 "party" because our friends rented a cabana and within 20 minutes of getting in, we were told we had to get out because someone pooped in it. Spent the rest of the time on the pool deck listening to a toddler scream her lungs out because she was afraid of fireworks and her mom was selfish and didn't take her inside, opting rather to scream back at her kid. It felt like I was at Wal-Mart. 3. Rock wall and the water slide is consistently closed. Even before Covid. 4. Stopped deep cleaning the hot yoga studio between classes once the mask mandate was lifted for like a month. 5. Bolsters and blankets in the hot yoga studio aren't cleaned regularly according to the staff. Only Virginia, the Surrender class instructor, was adamant about not using props and then only using props with towels covering them during Covid. 6. Kids on the workout floor that are underage. 7. Can't use the converted soccer field that became a specialty workout floor on the third level unless you pay extra. Same with the reformer pilates classes. I loved going but couldn't keep paying $30 extra, per class, on top of my monthly membership fee. 8. Kids in the steam room goofing around, even before Covid. 9. Reservation system was a mess during Covid. Classes would be filled and you'd get to class and either a lot of people wouldn't be there, or someone would have stolen your spot because they didn't reserve ahead of time. 10. I have minor siblings that visit during the school break. Huge hassle every year on using the guest passes on them, since you can only use one on the same person every x number of days. I don't use the guest passes any other time, it would be nice to be able to save them up and use them to bring my teenage siblings to workout / swim, seeing as everyone else has a gaggle of kids with them. During Covid my husband and I were going on neighborhood walks, hikes and we bought a Peloton bike, treadmill and a set of free weights. We set up a small home gym and are working out a lot more consistently now that it's right here. I don't like the honor system on masks for vaccinated members. I don't like many instructors wearing partial face shields that only covered their chins during the mask mandate. I don't like that the plexiglass partions have come down at the entrance. I don't like how the gym is jam packed with kids. I'll be back to the spa because Gregory is an amazing masseuse, but I wish LifeTime kept stronger standards than the state during Covid. read more

I really enjoyed being a member here for about a year and we had a great experience. Now the main reason we canceled our membership is due to how far it is for my family. Both locations were out of our way and we were hoping that the new location near IKEA would open up soon but I don't see any construction going on. That location would have been perfect. The summerlin Lifetime is way better than the lifetime over in green valley. I tried switching it up and the summerlin lifetime is much nice. Has more space, a better setup and just makes more sense. I never just worked out on my own at the gym. I always took classes since that ensured that I had a machine and weights. I will say I couldn't always get the dumbbells that I wanted since there wasn't always enough but I managed but if I pay an expensive membership they need to have more weights overall. Sometimes during classes the dumbbells were being used by people who weren't taking the class which would leave less of a variety for our class. Maybe more free weights at the gym overall would be better. The trainers/ class instructors were always great. They checked my form and corrected my movement, gave great tips and pushed us appropriately. GTX and Alpha were my favorite classes. They had small class sizes and if many people didn't show up it always felt like a personal training session. I really loved those classes. Kids academy was wonderful, my son tends to be anxious and scared easily and he started to like his time there. The center was always nice and clean. Parking is ANNOYING, the parking spots are tight and when you have kids it's really hard to get your child in and out of the car. Also the walk from the parking structure is such a pain. I carry my son and by the time I got in the building and took the stairs to get to the kids academy I was winded, exhausted and annoyed. The elevators take too long. I appreciate the gym being kid friendly but still such a struggle to get to the gym. It would be nice to have 2 entrances. It's never gonna happen but it would be nice. I loved the amenities, pools were so nice. Inside and out. I enjoyed the sauna, steam room, showers , dressing rooms. We would love to be members again but the drive was a pain for us, and the walk to the gym since I have a small child was also a struggle but mainly it would be annoying having to deal with all that and then have to wait for childcare cause it was full. Lifetime Fitness in Summerlin isn't the same as it once was. The staff doesn't feel as welcoming, and despite COVID-19 being over five years ago, they still haven't returned to 24-hour operations. For how much members pay, you'd think they could afford to hire an overnight staff--especially with cleaners already there. We liked the selection of equipment , classes and the large size of the facility. -overcrowded (wait in line to use equipment) -place feels very dated -staff isn't very accommodating (your paying Ritz pricing for motel service) -need to be better at keep up on fixing broken things like equipment, speakers, AC, general finishes -kids section has the hand/foot/mouth virus often, both my kids got it (they need to find a better solution)... baby had 102 fever, toddler had 105 fever off and on for days. Once we were all better we went back... week before our last date and one of our friends just text us her son got the Hand Foot Mouth (super annoyed because I'd like to use gym i paid for ... but can't go back since kids will just get sick again) -pool area is usually not open for kids till 10 AM... during the summer sucks because it gets SO HOT! -the baby area gets booked up constantly so u have to be super on it to get times you'd like -you get charged extra for cabanas during the summer months (we already have a membership fee why the extra charge???) -membership has gone up every year. Two years ago we started at $160 now it's up to $300 for one person, $75 per kid -parking is packed a lot -the elevator in parking lot was out for a while and having two kids it wasn't great walking the parking lot all the way down and up We moved from OC, were Equinox members at all 3 locations there and were looking for a similar lifestyle gym, Lifetime did not meet that. read more

Had my car Window smashed into, belongings stolen during a paid Pilates class only to find out from the staff that it was the second break in that week. Then come to find out from someone else who it happened to along with many others who have got their car broken into at Lifetime at Summerlin you'd think they would have security or properly working cameras for their parking garage when rates are close to $350/month (and rising) but no... Excuse after excuse from the management staff. The cameras just happened to not be working where my car was parked yet other cameras were working and was even sent these photos from the GM but still no desire from Lifetime to solve this ongoing problem. my husband and I cancelled our membership and are MUCH happier paying a quarter of the price with better staff and security at 24-Hour Summerlin. read more

If you're looking for a Nursery school and you want to see a bunch of strollers when you go to work out every day and hear kids scream this is your gym. The gym itself is clean and has a lot of machines and areas to work out is just a shame there's so many strollers and small kids in the pool area that make a lot of noise. read more

Save your money and join another club! It is a penalty to be a year round member at this club! From the months of October through March the club is great but April through September they let the summer crowd in on month to month memberships so the club is extremely overpacked, the child center has no reservation system so its first come first serve and with the new influx of summer crowd there is always a huge waitlist, plus the child center is closed is in the middle of the day so good luck if you want a mid afternoon workout! Until they start making the summer members sign long term leases or making them pay substantially more to join, or start prioritizing year round members above the people who are year in and year out only here for the summer months then terminate their membership. This club will never be worth it! Hey lifetime here's an idea open one of your least used workout rooms as a summer crowd child center with limited availability and restrict them from using the normal child center, unless they sign long term agreement with everything due in full if they try to cancel! Joined them a month ago. After some hesitation, given the cost. But if you don't worry much about money, there are several pluses: First of all, the pools. It is one of the few gyms in Las Vegas left after the new health regulations chaos with good access and plenty of lanes. Yes, it now costs $329 a month. Thank your local bureaucrats. Second, the gym itself. Clean, nice, great equipment. At first I thought "what's a difference? EŌS has equipment, and so do other clubs, all the same". Right? Wrong. There's a difference. Machines are better, selection is better, results are better. Unlimited towels. Constant cleaning. They do care. Now the bad: It is VERY CROWDED. You would think at $329 a month it will not be, but it is. Equipment is busy, although acceptable (some machines are always available, you just have to be flexible). But the sauna! It is literally PACKED. Frequently no seats are available and you just need to either sit on the floor or wait. Jesus, at this price point it's insane! They should definitely consider adding another sauna. It is also cold, at least to anyone who had sauna experience in Europe. But even by Las Vegas standards - it's the lowest temperature sauna I've been to. I'm sure some people like it, but some (including me) don't. Ideally, I'd like to see something I encountered once in Italy: two saunas, one hot, one cooler. Again, given their price - not too much to ask. One more negative: showers. Weak sprinkler. Water is hot, but definitely not powerful. I'd like to see rain shower heads. Again, given the price of this gym - not too much to ask. Parking- neutral. It's hard to get spots next to the building, but there's plenty in the covered garage. As long as you don't mind a short walk, it's not bad. In short, it's far from ideal, but the best out of the current (very poor) choice. If you have the money- it's probably for you. Otherwise continue to suffer EŌS or 24 hour decline. The way things are going, soon only the rich will be able to afford a decent health club. read more

I am new and yesterday was my first day. I took an 8am yoga class with literally THE BEST yoga instructor, Janet, I've ever had. (I've been practicing yoga 19 years now) What enhanced the experience even more for me was Janet was training a new yoga instructor, Lisa and she was AWESOME to. I was struck by both of their kindness, dedication and knowledge to their crafts. The yoga studio, itself, was stunningly beautiful and in perfect settings. Before I post a review I try to read the other reviews so that I don't sound repetitive when I write one. I was struck by people complaining about price? Look, I love LVAC and won't denigrate them but if you are trying to compare LVAC to Lifetime, truly, you aren't even comparing apples to oranges because at least those are both fruit. If you are trying to compare LVAC to Lifetime you'd be comparing jolly rancher's candies (not bad candy) to a perfectly cooked steak dinner, with succulent mashed potatoes and perfectly steamed and seasoned broccoli. I mean they both are gyms, I guess, like both those examples are food. Bottom line: you get what you pay for. Yoga, Alpha training, lots of equipment, perfect Pilates, basketball courts, pickle ball courts, swimming pools, outdoor swimming pools and even with all!? I just listed, it's my first day, I'm sure I missed some stuff. I find the value to be immense and think, even with the price, I'm getting a deal. After all, Janet, Lisa, Yolie (customer service rep that signed me up) are the highest quality individuals I've been around in a gym setting, they make the place invaluable. Very upsetting. I loved the group fitness classes, however Lifetime continues to increase monthly dues for valued customers. Their excuse "We are continuously renovating." Being a member for little over a year I have experienced two price increases. For a single person it was costing over $210/ month. They do not offer discounts or recognition for veterans, teachers, or front line workers such as myself. I have recently joined a new gym which offers the same classes, community, and recognizes first responders at a better price. read more

For what they charge, this place is a rip-off. Half of the time it's so packed you can't use a machine and the other half the time it's a kids club around the actual workout area. It's filled with folks who would be a better fit at a $10 a month gym with a high probability of knife fights in the parking lot. The facilities are dated and you're better off renting a storage facility and populating it with machines you bought yourself than dealing with posturing rich teenagers who think they're tough and from the streets. The staff have always been great, however, so I can't take that away from them. read more

While doing research for alternate therapies, I came across lifetime and was impressed. I'm disabled and was looking forward to utilizing aqua therapy to help with my symptoms. After taking a tour,(end of November) I was told there would be approximately a two week waiting. Period. I checked back in the first week of January and was told it shouldn't be too much longer. Finally I get an email end of January saying that they no longer take my insurance. I understand things change but, if they knew which I'm sure they did previous to January 1 Why could they not inform me so that I could find a different option?
