Shawn is the BEST trainer! I have we been struggling since my stroke several years ago. I could barely walk because of my limited feeling on my left side which affects my balance. Most of the time I had to use a cane or walker and a scooter when I was out in public. Shawn and I discussed my situation and set goals. The online training was simple to follow and he was available to answer my questions whenever I needed his help He gave nutritional advice as well as instructions on what I would need to complete my workouts. His training app helps me track my nutritional intake as well as my steps and workouts. I use my iWatch but a Fitbit would work too. Since I started 2 months ago, working out 3 times a week I am now able to walk 3,500 - 4,000 steps a day without any trouble. I no longer need any device to help me walk. I even rode my bike a mile! I haven't been able to do that in over 3 years. I have more energy, wake up early and I've lost 37lbs! I highly recommend Shawn as your trainer. My son and daughter-in-law have used him as well with great success. They both do 5k runs, hikes, ski and are in great shape. I'm going to start this review by using the old cliched adage, 'if I can do it, anyone can do it.' And while true, I knew I couldn't do it on my own...and that's where Shawn comes in. During Memorial Day weekend, I decided to make a change. I knew I needed to get in shape, lose weight, and be healthier if I was to actually accomplish the goals I had set for myself. I knew I wanted (nay, needed) to hire a personal trainer, I just had to find one...a good one. I searched Yelp and found 'Get Results Personal Training' and read the great reviews. I wrote Shawn's info down thinking he was a top candidate, but also wanting to exhaust all my options, I googled 'Las Vegas personal trainers' and used Thumbtack. Lo and behold, Shawn was the first to respond to my criteria. After speaking with him, he offered a free assessment that was able to be scheduled for the same day. After spending some time doing a few exercises (I was definitely out of shape), he patiently sat down and discussed my goals and what he could offer (his background, the workouts, nutrition and supplement information, motivation, etc.). Before going into this, I had 3 criteria I felt the person must meet (besides the obvious of being qualified): be patient, be personable, and have a real desire (and ability) to motivate. I could tell his level of patience was high with all the questions I asked. And though I don't have bouts of spontaneity often when it comes to major decisions, I hired him before I left. Fast forward to today where I'm just a little over half way through my 40 sessions, I have no doubt in my mind that Shawn was the right choice to help me achieve something I wasn't sure possible. He had already proved his patience in the beginning, but his personality helped calm the introvert in me down and gave me the bout of confidence I needed to keep going while his ability to motivate helped push me through when my brain kept telling me it was too hard. In just under two months, I have seen incredible changes. Shawn has helped me work my behind off (both literally and figuratively) and I can't be happier with the results. I still have a ways to go to reach my ultimate goal, but I know it's possible to achieve by continuing to work with him. He has given me a new outlook on working out and (never thought I'd say this), I now look forward to it. Shawn is definitely a capable trainer with a vast knowledgeable background. Shawn is absolutely an amazing trainer. I started with him a three month contract and decided to extend for another three months. He is very professional and knowledgeable about weight lifting. One think I really liked about him is that he really focus on each rep and each set I do and tell me what could be corrected to get the most out of each rep. I started my journey with Shawn about four months ago. After a seemingly minor lower back injury made me feel like an old decrepit man at the age of 32 I realized it was time to make a drastic change. I admit I had fallen into the traps of sedentary domestic life with two jobs and two children still in diapers. My wife helped me find Shawn on yelp. We went over my fitness goals, health history, and he did a through baseline assessment of my body composition and mechanics. After our first few workouts, I was happy and satisfied with level of variety and difficulty. It was definitely challenging, but Shawn was explaining and guiding me through each workout. He is flexible with my hectic work and family schedule as long as I give him 24 hour notice. After the first month or so of meal prepping, doing cardio three days a week, and working out with Shawn two days a week, I noticed changes. I felt good! I had more energy, I was more positive and even though it was tough and grueling to pull 12 hour shifts then workout, then go home to put the kids to bed I had the energy to do it!
