The moment I got on his diet I felt better, and I felt lighter after four days! Like everything about me. I drank enough water and I was eating the right kind of foods. Of course I hit a mark where I was not loosing anymore weight, and we figured out I wasn't eating enough. If I ever had questions about if something really works or not he would explain how it does. Great, friendly staff, and super clean environment! The hours are sometimes difficult because even as members you don't have 24/7 access. Early morning or night hours usually mean less people, afternoon hours can sometimes be busy and mean you'll have to adjust your workout based on what equipment is available. They keep it dark and low lit in the gym which I enjoy so I am less focused on my aesthetics or other people and more focused on getting in my workout and feeling accomplished. Overall, it's a good option if you're looking for a boutique gym, that is never overly crowded.

It's smaller, private and not super busy like most gyms. I can get my workouts done without waiting for equipment. I really appreciate the thoughtful touches, like the infrared sauna, nice showers, toiletries for women, hair ties, and the locker system. You can tell a lot of care went into creating a nice gym environment. There are a couple of male employees who are always kind, friendly, and welcoming. They talk to me, acknowledge me, and make the experience feel positive. However, my experience with some of the female staff has been the opposite. They often come across as rude, or unwelcoming. When I walk in, they typically do not say hello unless I say hello first. I genuinely love the gym itself and think the facility is beautiful, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I just wish the customer service matched the quality of the space.

I have been wanting to get back to the gym for years, but I was hesitant and embarrassed. I'd let myself get out of shape. Stress made me unmotivated to walk into a gym and, let's be honest, large gyms are intimidating. I came across the advertisement on Facebook for Human Forge Fitness. They were looking for women over sixty, that's me. I googled the gym, and it was literally around the corner from my home. I filled out the info online and Kevin reached out and I went in for a tour. I liked that Human Forge Fitness is a small gym, and all workouts are personalized to my fitness level. I have been a client for about a month, and I can feel the difference in just a month. Yes, I'm sore, but it's a good sore. I can tell I'm getting stronger, and I look forward to my sessions. The workouts are hard, but they are fun, and you feel like you accomplished something good for yourself. If you are looking to get back into working out, are intimidated by a large gym, want a more personalized work out in a family-oriented gym please give Human Forge Fitness a try.

I've been in gyms where you walk in the door and something about the room settles you and you know you're going to have a good hour. That never happened for me here, and I gave it more than one shot. It had nothing to do with the work being hard. I've never had a problem with hard. It's a small room and everything is close together. I came by again maybe a year ago because I was looking at joining somewhere and figured I'd take another look. I could have walked in blindfolded and told you where everything was. Nothing had moved. The heart rate monitor is the other thing. You don't have to buy one, that part is optional. But if you want to wear one it has to be the one they sell. I already had a good monitor and was told it wouldn't work with their system. Convenient, but I'll take their word for it. Doug's been doing this a long time and he's good at it, I'm not saying otherwise. It just wasn't my place. There are gyms around town that were a better match for what I wanted out of it.
