To begin, I was given inaccurate information about the doctor when I phoned to schedule my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I arrived early only to find the office still closed minutes after the lunch hour. Then, the doctor didn't show up. His nurse practitioner, a female who seemed as though she just finished smoking crack, spent most of my appointment telling me what problems they've had in their office with previous staff. I explained my absolute disappointment in being misled, making this appointment of no help to me and that the current staff was just as bad. This NP was supposed to have sent through an URGENT referral request to a pain management clinic, only for me to find out today, over a week later that the request was never put through. I'm an African American senior and disabled female and I write this with sincerity. The way this office is run, as well as the old dilapidated way it which it is set up, only confirms that this doctor is hanging on by a thread. He knows nothing about professionalism or reputation. I would refer my worst enemy to him. I've issued a complaint against him with my insurance company and Medicare. I'm going to actually take the time and file a complaint against him with the Medical Board. DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH THIS DOCTOR

I come in once a year for my annual and that's literally it. The only reason I've stuck around is because records are here. The office staff is hit or miss with respect to politeness (front desk). If you hate your job then quit. Remember, just like you only want to take folks with PPO insurance, we call take our business elsewhere. The office is actually called FAMILY PRACTICE ASSOCIATES, it is Dr. Ghanian's office BUT mainly, as far as I can tell, Dr. Basa and Dr. Hector are available. I was recommended to this place by a family member. This was my first visit to a doctor since 2008 because I never had a good experience with doctors. I needed a yearly check up to know where I am standing with my health and needed to follow up because of my ER visit a few days prior to the appointment. The office and rooms are very clean as well as the restroom. Front desk is alright, they could be a bit more welcoming, friendly/professional but you're here to see the doctors so it's whatever. I was seen quickly and was in and out of the office in about an hour. Everyone in the back is nice and welcoming. Dr Hector took the time to answer my questions. I felt like he actually heard my concerns and had valid answers/ solutions to them and took his time with me. I never felt rushed. I have also heard great recommendations for Dr. Maria Basa. I will definitely continue coming here!

She spends more time with me asking questions and assessing my health and family history than anyone else ever has. She has a wonderful, friendly bedside manner.
