I was living…read morewith a 5lb. 6oz. tumor for ten years, and had absolutely no clue; until I walked in to see her. It was the month of October and the year was 2010...I had a cold that would not budge. I had seen many doctors, scheduled a lot of appointments, and taken prescription medication as well as over the counter; NOTHING WORKED! My mother was concerned and asked me to see a different doctor; therefore I did. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Joyce Chang, as a new patient that very day. I was able to see her within the hour and once I did, she had me out the door and rushed to the Emergency Room. Dr. Joyce Chang had performed the tests necessary to conclude what my illness was. Upon doing so...I had to be rushed to the Emergency Room. Next thing I knew, I had to have all of my family next to me and inform them of my massive tumor growing inside of me. If it wasn't for Dr. Joyce Chang, I would not be sitting here and typing this review. Because of the massive tumor, I have since had an additional surgery (total of two), but I cannot thank Dr. Joyce Chang enough. She is my guardian angel.

Dr. Arvan didn't review any of the paperwork I gave her which included recent lab reports, diagnosis and treatment plans, etc. She didn't ask me any questions about my health or how I was feeling. She was more worried about the natural supplements I was taking to treat SIBO not being FDA approved. I simply needed to get a physical exam done to qualify for a discount on my medical insurance but she refused to treat me because I'm seeing an ND as well. Are you kidding me? I'm taking things like calcium, multi vitamin, vitamin D, K, C. I'm also on HRT but she didn't like that either. How would she have any idea on my hormone levels without even looking at my lab results. What a waste of time. Seems she doesn't like her patients seeing anyone but MDs. However, I don't need any more prescription pills. All I needed was a simple physical exam. Unbelievable!

I have a PPO because I like selecting my doctors so I was weary of going to see a doctor I hadn't researched or selected. Since I feel I get amazing care with my current medical provider I decided to take her recommendation. I didn't know what to expect from my appointment with Dr. Duffin. I have a very limited understanding of what rheumotologists do. Dr, Duffin took the time to pull up my medical records on some medical record sharing software system. He went through about 5 years of my medical history asking me questions and reading over lab reports, doctor's notes and my MRI. Dr. Duffin was able to tell me what was wrong with me, what I should expect and how I can treat it. He took the time to show me things online, explain to me what he was showing me and he printed up some materials for me to take home and read. He was very patient in answering all my questions. He ordered a few more blood tests and called me on a Sunday to report the results when I called his office with a question he called me back on a weeknight at 10pm. I'm not sure if the Sunday and 10pm calls are for everyone, but I didn't mind. If you're in the market for a rheumotologist, I highly recommend Dr. Duffin!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lee for over five years, which is what makes writing this review…read moreparticularly disappointing. I've often felt that my actual health concerns were not given the attention I expected from my primary provider. Instead, appointments would frequently shift toward discussions about my skin and cosmetic treatments. I was repeatedly told that she could give me "glass skin" if I invested in treatments through Idunn Clinic. After hearing this for some time, I eventually decided to save up and give the treatments a chance. I now deeply regret that decision. I was quoted approximately $3,600, but ultimately ended up spending over $4,000. Beyond the financial aspect, what has bothered me most is the feeling that I allowed myself to be redirected from my actual health concerns toward expensive cosmetic treatments by someone I trusted as my doctor. I understand that doctors can offer cosmetic services and that patients ultimately make their own decisions about whether to pursue them. My concern is the repeated emphasis on these treatments in the context of a doctor-patient relationship, particularly when I came in with other health concerns that I felt were not receiving the same level of attention. (Example: coming in for heart problems and being told I need more face treatments) If you are considering becoming a patient or investing in cosmetic treatments recommended through this practice, I strongly encourage you to make sure your health concerns are being fully addressed and to get a clear, written breakdown of all costs before agreeing to treatment. After more than five years as a patient, I never expected to leave feeling this disappointed or questioning whether my trust had been misplaced.
