He doesn't just put up wallpaper, he changes the whole vibe of a room. His work makes a place feel completely new, and that's exactly what happened with mine. On top of that, he's super professional and actually cares about getting it right. What a nightmare!!! How this Sharron's Handyman Service has five stars is beyond me???…read more Mr Pompeyo Salazar, came by looked at the job to be done. Scheduled a return visit, and arrived late with doors already purchased. He never asked what type door I wanted? This is the type of guy who thinks he knows everything and truly knows. Absolutely nothing! He and one other guy started work and had to return one door because it was the wrong size! Halfway through the job, he asked me if I had the hardware?? Door lock? No I told him he needed to go get them. I figure if you're replacing doors the locks and handles are part of the job! He left the job and return with a third person There were now three people to replace two doors and took them all day eight hours for three people! The end result is horrible. The doors are not straight. The dead boat lock and door knobs were installed upside down! There was a doggie door to be installed in one door. It is installed crooked! None of the locks catch properly. And he did not install a threshold beneath the doors so light and air pours through!! The following day, I called Mr Pompeyo Salazar and asked him to return and fix some of these things. He came with a small piece of Weatherstripping to put under the door. He played around with the locks and told me they could not be fixed to catch properly! There is light and air coming in around all sides of the door. I asked him about weatherstripping. He looked at me as if to say, do it yourself!! WARNING TO ALL!!!! Do not hire Pompeyo Salazar or anyone from Sharron's Handyman Service!! They do not what they are doing!! I guarantee!! You will be completely disappointed and out of your money!!! I have spent the last three days fixing his horrible work myself! I did not pay him to have to fix his work myself!!!

We are SOOOOOO happy we found Pompeyo. He was recommended by my husband's niece (who does…read moreplumbing, electricity and construction work on her own place FOR FUN!?) So a recommendation from her carried weight since she knows what to be aware of. Pompeyo is not only skilled, considerate, on time, and committed to making a job right....he is a great communicator! He had done one terrific job for us when a different, more major plumbing thing came up. He not only advised us on what we might or might not be looking at given that it is an OLDER house, he texted and called repeatedly over the course of 2 hours with me as I asked him for guidance on what to shop for and what the different possible scenarios were. (And we hadn't even committed to having him be the one to do the work yet) HE DID the work. It DID need to be the more major option because of the age of the plumbing. And he STUCK TO HIS ESTIMATE while having an additional person come to aid him quickly! YAAAY! (the next day he had another young man with him to EXPERTLY AND SEAMLESSLY close up the wall after the pipes had been replaced.) We really respected that he knew what he could do alone and also what he required an additional pair of hands for AND STUCK TO THE PRICE. TOTALLY OUR GO-TO NOW!

He was also budget friendly & the cheapest quote I received but you get what you pay for.. he is completely unreliable. We agreed for him to meet at my house at 9 am on a Saturday which the image of the text message is included. At 9:47am the day of the appointment, I text him to find out what his ETA is because maybe I can run an errand to go to the pharmacy before he arrives. No answer. I call him at 10am asking him when I should expect him because maybe I can run that errand if he is still far enough away & he responds with you tell me. I clarified why I was asking & he said it depends what the GPS says I don't know how far you live. Then he sounded frustrated, I told him I'm only 30 mins away & it will only take me 15 mins and if he hasn't left yet then it's best for me to go now since I'm just waiting for him anyways & I'll be home before 10:30am. Obviously it sounds like he hasn't left yet. I explained to him I just wanted to find out if he was on the road already or not. So I ran to the pharmacy & got back before 10:30am as promised and didn't hear from him if he left yet. From the attached image of my text, I asked him to text or call me when he was on his way then I'll provide him with the gate code. I live in a gated community & I never give my gate code right away until I ensure the person, especially service ppl, is confirmed on their way for safety reasons. At this time I am fixing an old vacuum cleaner & testing it to see if it works. That only took 15 mins to try and vacuum & in that time I didn't hear my phone ring. I missed Mike's 3 calls. Attached is also an image of when he first called at 10:43am telling me he is already at the gate. At 10:53am I called him back & no answer. I kept calling & texting him back saying sorry I missed him because I was vacuuming & couldn't hear my phone but no answer or replies. It was only 10 mins from when he first called to when I called him back, that is it. He never called or answer my text & I guess took off because I made him wait 10 mins. It was only 10 mins difference but he agreed to be at my house at 9am & I was being understanding of that. He can waste my time but God forbid we waste his. Still never received a message back

If I can give Marvin NEGATIVE stars I would!!! DO NOT USE THIS GUY! BEWARE!…read more Marvin came to quote me for drywall 1/3 my garage and paint. He quoted me $2100 for the job, I thought get let's use him. First day great he comes in with another guy and starts drywall! Then Marvin disappears for hours... come to find out as his coworker is working his butt off, we find Marvin smoking down the street in his car. Weird?! But ok. Then over the days went just by himself he's extremely slow at his job, shows up at random times, blames his girlfriend and his grandfather for his inconsistency. This goes on for 6 DAYS!!!! Hasn't even finished the drywall. Might I add I'm paying him everyday... bc I'm nice, as well as feeding him! Finally I ask him what's the prognosis he tells me he miss quoted bc he didn't realize materials cost so much. I agree with him to just finished it and I'll agree to pay more than he quoted. He asked for $800 more... once again agreed but unsure I wanted to continue with him. He also didn't have any of the drywall equipment as well or a car. He uses my ladders and my buckets laying in the garage and absolutely destroys them! As well as not hanging up curtains. Our garage was coated in drywall dust... now we are on day 7 (drywall NOT finished) I finally tell him to take a day off so I can clean. ALL OF A SUDDEN HE STARTS telling me he's gonna clean! I said don't come today! He kept insisting... I ended up hiring 3 people, pulled everything out of my garage, cleaned is scraps and a truck load of drywall and went and dumped myself. Also spending $250 in mops and cleaning stuff. ALSO BUYING CURTAINS AND INSTALLING THE CURTAINS AROUND THE WORKPLACE LIKE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO! I had another guy come quote me to fix this drywall and was blown away how unprofessional Marvin was with my garage he was mind blown! Finally I ask him to just fix the drywall and I've paid you more than the original quote and I'm done with you. He does a terrible job, leaves my house without cleaning, had putty all over my garage and gym equipment!!! JUST LEFT! Please look at the photos and judge yourself... there's so much more to this story but I'm gonna stop here. Make your decision based on these photos! DO NOT USE HIM!
