It's over, this place is just not the same without Matt running it with his vibrancy, warmth and genuine care for customer satisfaction. The environment is like a tomb and the quality of the food is awful, all while charging a higher price. They're serving small, dried out overdone pieces of pizza for more money than ever. They're really skimping on the ingredients in the calzones and I think they've changed the dough and the dressing for the salad (for the worse). You can upgrade the physical interior of a building but without the food quality and ambiance, it's meaningless. Very Sad after all these years of great food, service and warmth. We gave them a few chances but we're done, it's over. read more

Pizza here is really damn good, service here was great and very welcoming. Inside was super nice and generally seemed like a clean place. Not too much to say since this place does all it wants to do pretty well. Never had an issue ordering out from here either. Overall, good service with good food. Place you don't go wrong with in Murray read more

Ordered takeout. Pizza was below average at best. Sauce was bland, there was too much cheese to the point of sliding off and the dough seemed a bit undercooked. Breadsticks were horrible. Dough was not cooked all the way and there was no seasoning. I honestly can't believe anyone gave this 5 stars, especially someone claiming to be from NYC. There's no way the pizza I had here would get 5 stars or even 2 stars at a NYC pizza joint. read more

Pizza was amazing and the slices were giant. Very busy place so you need to be patient.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a pizza and received what seemed to be two halves of different pizzas that were not fresh. When I called them the owner answered and was unbelievably rude and disrespectful when explaining my problem. I was then told that Murray has 10 other pizza places and to never come to Matt B's again. I hope I can help save someone the trouble of dealing with this business. read more

Matt B's Main Street Pizza - customers at the counter - Pizza Near Me - Murray, Kentucky

We made mistake of letting a fishing tour guide tell some outta towners where to go for pizza. It is cheap, we'll give Matt that. But what a dive. Napkins please, nope, here's some crummy paper towels. Water please, nope, we only have bottles. Balsamic please for salad, nope? Salad was iceberg w a bunch of those yellow chunks no one wants. Pizza, not good. Thick chunks of ham on Hawaiian. Good news....we didn't waste the calories. Threw half in the trash on way out. I really have idea who would rate this place highly. read more

They are one of the two best in town. They give you an enormous piece for a decent price. It's awesome.

I'm originally from NYC. We know our pie. (Pizza to the rest of the world ). Matt's pizza ranks right up there with NYC. Three things I missed coming from NYC: pizza, bagels, and Chinese food. Matt B's fixed my pizza craving. Wild Mountain bakery fixed my bagel craving. I wish Matt's had more seating area. If it did, I would go more read more

Had this pizza place for the first time today. It was delicious. We had the honey crust with the butter. The butter mad it so good. Fast and friendly service and pizza was excellent. This was a busy place and I understand why. read more

Matt B's Main Street Pizza - Good fellow without black olives. - Pizza Near Me - Murray, Kentucky

This is really good pizza! Matt B's offers a no frills eatery with limited seating and counter service. The staff is relaxed and casual, and their primary focus is making great food. The pizza is the star attraction (two different styles of crusts, lots of toppings), but they have fresh salads and house-made dressing(s) too. For those on the go, they have several different pies already cooked, and you can order a slice (as is, or add toppings) and they'll pop it in the oven for a few minutes and send you on your way with a quick, hot meal for a nice price. It can get busy and hectic at times, and the noise level can get loud, especially if the music or TV is blaring. It is a small place, so it can get crowded with folks lining up to order, other people coming to pick up orders, and customers milling around to serve themselves (e.g. cutlery, napkins, drinks). They do have daily specials and carry-out specials as well, and I think they deliver, but I cannot recall. All in all, this is the exact kind of pizza joint every college town should have. read more

This place has wonderfully delicious and hefty portions of ingredients. Best pizza ever

Hands down the best pizza in Murray but it is a little too greasy. Good cheese sticks too.

Best pizza in Murray. Is definitely greasy so if you don't like grease might want to think twice. But its sooooo worth it. Their bread sticks and honey butter take the cake though. Plus the owner is fantastic and is always there to help make your experience better! read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. When I lived in MKY I would walk here from work very often. I was always dry pleased with the service and the food. Also, it's a real pizzeria. You can always get a slice. You don't have to order an entire pizza. And finally, their salads are surprisingly great. Very fresh and clearly assembled in house. An excellent establishment with excellent service. read more

Hands down, best pizza in Murray. Matt B's is our favorite! All of the staff, and especially the owner, are wonderful people that are always smiling and friendly. I've never had a bad experience, and I have definitely not ever had bad food! We will ALWAYS choose Matt B's as our favorite pizza! read more

Worst pizza in Kentucky. Lift a piece and grease pours off. So disgusting my friend who is vegan received a salad and had to throw it away. Describing it as "meaty and greasy" which she obviously wouldn't be down for. This place is just one big disappointment. read more

Ordered a cheese on honey crust, got 20 minutes back home to find a pepperoni on regular crust. No salad dressing. Guy on the phone was an asshole. Never again. read more

So I didn't eat here and I haven't been there. I live in California, and my best friend goes to Murray State and I wanted to surprise her for her birthday. So I called and asked them to spell 21 in pepperoni and write happy birthday on the lid and surprise her in the dorms. They did! they went above and beyond decorated the box and didnt charge extra or anything. This definitely made my day being able to surprise my friend from so far away and give her great memories. I'm forever grateful! read more

I don't see how this place hasn't been shut down by the health inspector yet. The floors are disgusting, the trash is overflowing, the straws next to the machine were soaking wet. Why anyone would forego this to get a slice of pizza is beyond me. I'm sure the owners are great people, but their lack of concern for health and food safety shows that they do not take pride in their establishment or value their customers. read more

This is the best pizza I have ever had & wish I didn't live so far away from it. The breadsticks and cheese bread are amazing too. If they started a shipping option I would use it no matter how expensive it would be. If you're ever in KY, this Matt B's is an absolute must! read more

Easily the best pizza in Murray! Their breadsticks with honey butter and their cheese sticks are delicious, too.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant anywhere. I've eaten here at least 500 times, maybe a thousand. The taste of the pizza is second to none. The friendliness of the staff is off the charts. It starts with the top guy, Matt B himself, and goes through everyone who works there. Matt B leads his employees by example and is truly one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. This place is the standard of excellence as far as I am concerned. Any time I am visiting, bank on me eating as many meals as I can possibly fit in at Matt B's. read more

Great pizza when they are on. Of the several times we have ordered takeout we have had one order charred black on the bottom and one a bit under cooked. The inside is a bit dirty diner looking. This place is usually pretty busy, so get ready to wait. This is a great cheap pizza place that usually makes a darn good pizza. read more

This place is legit. It's pizza is so filling and the dough is so stinkin good! A must for lovers of pizza!

The God of all pizza restaurants. There has never been, and never can be a better slice of pizza then Matt B's pizza. The greatest poets could not do justice to the culinary genius of Matt B's. read more

Very good pizza - perhaps the best offered in Murray? I like the taste of the dough, sauce, and cheese they use. It tastes great while warm / hot, perhaps just average tasting if allowed to cool. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars, most likely because of my preference for Italian pizzas instead of American pizzas. Salads are quite big, if you like ham on your salad. Prices seem very reasonable. Closed on Monday. Parking in front and to the side of building. read more

Great pizza. Nice and crunchy pizza crust. You can buy by the piece. Will be back next semester.

Great pizza..service and home delivery. .New to town and happy tohave found this place.

Love the pizza and the prices! The only problem I had was while waiting for a to go order, I watched the boy working the register eat toppings that had fallen off the pizzas right out of the case. Then he started moving the pizzas around with that same bare hand. :/ hopefully, this was just an isolated incident. read more

Great food. Highly recommend. I love veggie pizza & salad, hubby the cheese bread & salad and our son the meatlovers calazone. Great, quick, friendly service.
