The wait staff seemed to be overloaded with customers and it was after the lunch hour. We ordered…read moretwo salads and an all meat pizza. We had to ask for our salads to be delivered to our table after approximately 15 minutes from the time our order was taken. The waitress apologized and said she thought we wanted it with our pizza as an appetizer, which was puzzling. The salads were good and we really liked the small croutons in it. The pizza arrived in a reasonable amount of time, had a good crust, but there was little sauce and it lacked flavor. It was quite dry. I've eaten pizza all over the U.S. and outside the U.S. and we were both disappointed in this one. The building appeared clean and neat and it was a nice atmosphere for dining.

I especially liked the mustard sauce with the brisket. The coleslaw is really fresh tasting as well. There was a large group of us at noon on Thursday/ We were easily seated and received lots of attention from our waitress and one of the owners. Very friendly, casual, and welcoming atmosphere. It's a bit of a drive from Paris, but well worth it. Some of the folks in my group ordered dessert and raved about the banana pudding and the TX trash pie. I was too full to think about dessert. I'll definitely be back.

Now someone said they have a good cheese burger, but we tried the 1/4 rib basket & smoked Turkey..baked beans & slaw. The beans need help. They were sweet like syrup but they need a new recipe. The slaw was ok but needed something, kinda sweet but again not much flavor. The smoked Turkey & ribs were just average. Would not get any of those things again. The toast was just white toast, toasted instead of Texas toast. No butter. It was a no for us, but I heard they have good brisket? We sat outside. It was nice they have picnic tables & an area for bands to play. Cute mom & pop with friendly charm.

The only con is I wish the sauce had been a little less sweet, but that is a my own preference. The crust was crispy. We also got an order of buffalo wings. They were very saucy (no picture) and had great flavor. They have beer but no liquor, so I ordered Coronas. We have ordered the thinner crust regular pizza before, and it also had a great flavor with a nice ratio of cheese, sauce, and toppings. The inside of the restaurant had a nostalgic feel to it. We were greeted as soon as we got to the door, and the server was very attentive. Service was great! We will be back.

Lance's was perfect! My husband had a delicious chef salad. It was large and full of very fresh veggies, with meats, and boiled egg, just as hubby likes. Then we shared a small pizza with sausage and mushrooms. I assumed it would be more of an individual size because it was only around $7.50, but it was 8 slices! We only ate half of it, but it was delicious. There was a family at a table near us packing up their leftovers to take home, and I offered them our untouched half. They had a lot of mouths to feed, and there's not a lot of extra room on a motorcycle to carry a pizza box. So if you find yourself traveling through Dover, TN and want a very, very reasonably priced meal, Lance's is a great choice!
