The prime rib is really really good. That said, sometimes they have it and sometimes they don't. The tables are bad sticky! Set your phone down and you'll struggle to pick it back up and your elbows stick if you rest your arms on the table. But, like I said above the prime rib is absolutely fantastic. Probably been there fifteen times this year just for the prime rib and twice it's been a bad experience. Once for no prime rib available which they state in the fine print on their menu as not always available and once for it came out raw instead of medium. The salads are good and they have blue cheese dressing. The baked potatoes are good. As you can see we go for the prime rib cause it's the only place in town, and it's great. For over a $300 bill, including a $40 gratuity, you would have thought that we would have gotten at least half-way decent food, but you would be incorrect. This place 5 years ago was amazing, now I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. It's terrible. I've been here many times and always have had an excellent experience. Most recently, a friend and I dined here Friday night and I had the prime rib. Everything we had was wonderful. My friend had never been and she loved it too! We are lucky to have such a nice establishment in Paris (one of many). The ambiance is great too. My brother ordered the ribs with baked beans and a baked potato . He asked if they offered the ribs dry meaning no sauce. The waitresses said they did. When his food came out all of it was cold. The baked potato would not even melt the butter. The ribs were dry alright they were over cooked no taste of anything seasoning. They were really dry and cold as if his whole plate had been cooked and just sitting waiting on someone to order it. We told our waitress and she apologized and said they could warm it up but it was already dried out. She went to talk to the manager. The manager never came to our table to talk to us and did not offer any kind of resolution to the problem. We will NEVER eat there again. And will tell everyone we know of our experience. If I could give this place a -0 rating I would. The managers response seems to be the same to everyone who has voiced these concerns for at least the last 3 years (new management, new staff, etc). When are you going to g it right? It doesn't appear that how your customers feel about your ser or establishment is important to you. You do nothing to reslove the problem. It's pretty freaking bad....especially for an $80 tab. We left our food un ate except for the kids chicken and fries. Beans were out of a can, salads were pitiful, my chicken parm was not chicken parm. Marinara was canned??, pickles had zero pickle flavor. We have considered coming here for a while because of the exterior of the building being appealing and looking classy. But, reading the reviews we decided against it multiple times. Tonight we went. We were both disappointed on so many counts. Going in immediately your eyes go to the once beautiful building to the now dated, worn out furniture and decor. The benches were very uncomfortable. There was a significant wait once seated but it was about 5pm. You can tell the locals are very loyal. I had a hard time finding something I could eat. Once the food came it was just mediocre. If you are in Paris, (Tennessee, not France) this is the place to go. A very weird set up, we debated what it used to be and our conclusion was that it had to be a strip bar at one time. Other than that, very friendly service and good food. Like many places, the fried dill pickles and mushrooms are very good, and a little different than the usual order - they actually put cream cheese in the mushrooms before frying. My wife and I found this while staying at Kentucky lake. It is a nice local diversion from standard chain fern bar fare. The ambiance is vaguely european market with a nice full bar area as well as a nice dining room. The food was very good with a very large selection (salads, pastas, shrimp, catfish, steaks, prime rib and ribs.) The prices are very reasonable ($15 Rib-eye) and the desserts are supposed to be very good, although we didn't try them. We had two appetizers (wings and mushrooms and they were both delicious.) Finally caught the place open, been wanting to go there for over a year. Will never go back, ever. Ordered a $22 ribeye and got the fattiest piece of meat I've ever seen, cold, undercooked, not worth $5. I've had better steak at Tom's Pizza for less than half the price. My daughter got fettuccine alfredo and it was all so cold. No flavor at all. I didn't have a choice but to eat it due to low blood sugar. I had no intentions of getting out of paying for it and never mentioned anything about wanting something done. We ate it, we pay for it. I was polite when the waitress came back and I told her that it was cold, there was no flavor (critiques for the business to learn from, not the waitresses fault.)She asked if I wanted to see a manager and I said no, that's ok, so she took our plates and walked off. I would have left a decent tip for her at this point. Then she came back a minute later with our check and threw it on the table, said something, and walked off. She didn't give me time to get out my credit card so I assumed there was a register near the door and that she said have a great day or something, sarcastically. We took our check and went to the door and I realized I couldn't check out so I talked to one of the hostesses up front and they told me to put it on the table for the waitress. Then the waitress came up and grabbed my credit card and receipt and said there's no register up there duh and made a smart aleck gesture with my card towards her head. While she stomped off I talked to the server upfront and told her I didn't know what her problem was but she shouldn't be working there with an attitude like that. I said out loud that I wouldn't be eating there if I were the people waiting in line due to the cold food and crazy waitress. I got my card after paying and tried to leave, then the owner caught me at the door and started telling lies about how I was cussing in front of customers and stuff. I tried to explain to her what had happened and she attacked me repeatedly, cutting me off and not letting me explain, and said never to come back. Great customer service, great way to run a business. Not sure what the owners problem was or the waitresses problem was because I was nothing but nice. And way to talk to me in front of my teenage daughter. As far as telling people that I wouldn't eat there if I was them because the food was terrible and cold and the waitress was crazy, there's no difference between that and leaving reviews. I was also attacked for that. The hostess upfront told me that I didn't do anything wrong and stood up for me. She said the waitress with issues was new there and apologized for her. Not too shabby..possibly the best restaurant in the area. The fried pickles here are a must and the cheese triangles were tasty too. Excellent signature cocktail menu...the Liquid Marijuana drink was dangerously good. The pasta primavera was just average; the alfredo sauce just wasn't creamy enough for me. Everything else was great tho. My friend ordered the fajitas which came out in a huge portion, very fresh; I helped her with those. This is one of the better places to eat in Paris with a variety of menu items and a full bar on site. Food is okay but not very inventive. Menu has not changed in 20 years so is a little stale. Prime Rib is the best on the menu and a great value. Ask for some horseradish to go in the horseradish sauce for a little more flavor and kick. Cajun catfish is my next choice. Went here with family on a very busy holiday weekend and the accomodated us rather quickly and the food arrived quickly. The Cobb salad was very good and my grilled porkchop plate was also very good. Huge portions including a large "side" salad. 2 in our party ordered the "special of the day" a chicken fajita. Maybe they had made the ingredients earlier in the day and they had sat under a heat lamp too long but the chicken was dry and stringy and the vegetable overcooked; as was the rice. Tried to eat at the Fresh Market on July 20. We were told it is a 20 minute wait. However there were 4 tables cleaned and available. I brought this to the hostess attention and she replied that they couldn't sit people, the kitchen was behind. Wouldn't it make more sense to get people seated? Called the restaurant Sat., 8/10/10 talked to Karen and asked for a reservation for 6:30 PM. Karen took the reservation for three people. We arrived at 6:25. Entering the restaurant I spoke to the hostess who did not have our reservation listed. I told her we had spoke to Karen and was promptly told by the hostess that "Karen was an idiot and that there was no record of our reservation". The hostess also told us they did not accept reservations for parties of less than four, something "Karen" did not mention when the reservation was made. We were not not seated until almost 7 PM. Once seated the service was good. The salad was nothing more than a plate of lettuce with a couple of slices of tomato. The steaks were well prepared. In the future we will look for other options for dinner. read more

This is easily the best restaurant in Paris, TN. We were visiting from Michigan, and the hotel recommended this place, and we're glad they did. The atmosphere is friendly and warm, and the food is amazing! I had the grilled pork chops, and my wife had the ribs and tenders. These pork chops, swear to god y'all, were the best pork chops I've ever eaten! The tenders my wife had were hand breaded and delicious, and even the coleslaw (which we are extreme coleslaw snobs) was spectacular! The service was perfect.
