The moment you pull up to the complimentary valet parking to the southern, casual, country, elegant seating a smile will be on your face! Offering a nice variety of food on the menu gives any pallet a choice of an adventure! I had the popsicle lamb chops and mashed potatoes. Both were delicious; the potatoes could have used more salt but adding some made them perfect. Our service was the best! The servers are all so pretty and know how to take care of their guests. Make your reservation at least a week in advance or you may have problems getting in when you want to go.

Another amazing dinner at Oaklawn. Joe and his staff are the best! They take time to get to know their customers and work hard to ensure a wonderful experience and serve top notch food. I wish Joe could own and manage a lot of restaurants that I have eaten in Nashville! He makes sure your experience is the best and the food is perfect! Love the new menu!

We celebrated our anniversary here. Every staff member we passed wish us a happy anniversary, and we even had a little placard on our table as well! The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Also knowledgeable of the menu. Our waitress, Mia, was very friendly and attended to our table frequently. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. The pricing is fair for the quality and portions. We will definitely be back!

I've eaten here a half dozen times over the past few years and it makes me so happy every time. Service is smooth and great. Joe has almost always been here remembering my name and welcoming me in. I can't wait to bring more people here. The food is always cooked to perfection and flavored perfectly.

Small town, local steakhouse, we came with our party who have been several times before. The staff were wonderful. Attentive, polite, and very pleasant to be around. We were seated in the back of the restaurant. The lighting is a bit dim, but it helps to set the mood. They also have outdoor seating as well. Their menu is simple. Three out of the four of us ordered the Famous Benton bacon Wrapped Bourbon-Glazed Filet and the other, Blues City Filet with blue cheese crumbles. Thankfully, you are given the option to choose your own sides. Two of us got the bourbon bacon maple brussel sprouts and the other two, creamed spinach. We did not wait long for the food to be served. All the filets were cooked perfectly to order - medium rare. The filets were tender, cut like butter and melted in your mouth. They are topped with tallow. I am not a fan of that but none the less it did not interfere with the taste of the meat. The The Benton filet had a sweet taste from the bourbon, not my favorite but I assumed the taste when I ordered it and still very much enjoyed the meat. The two of us who ordered the Brussel sprouts found them to be served luke-warm, we both took notice to this and they should've been warmer. The creamed spinach was served hot and was delightful. The owner became aware of the situation and took the steps to make it right. The reason this restaurant is deserving of 5 stars is because the attention and care the owner took to right the wrong. Steakhouses are expensive and instead of being brushed off because the side dish was cold, he cared. You don't get that anymore in restaurants and with that, we will for sure be returning

Beginning to end a fantastic experience. We started off at the bar for craft cocktails served by our amazing bartender Dani. Great conversation and drinks. For dinner I had the bone-in blackened ribeye with roasted glazed carrots. The wife had the lamb chops. For dessert I had the bourbon pecan pie and she had the chocolate mousse. The staff attention was top notch down to the free valet parking. The ambiance was relaxing. Joe the owner is a great guy. If you are in the area you need to go!

Outstanding food and service, Oaklawn is a big city dining experience with 5 star food and service to match. The 2 "recent" 2025 complaints, this is an intimate dining establishment, and hardly a sports bar. Also the complaint about the Owner being politically and racially motivated? Seriously, you have wayyy too much time on your hands. The Owner is always courteous, accommodating and proud of offering an excellent dining experience. Wife and I had the Grouper with crab meat and the Blackened Redfish, both tasty, cooked to perfection and a sizeable satisfying portion. Valet is complimentary and as a courtesy only, very nice when Oaklawn is booked solid. We moved to Paris early April, we were exhausted for a few weeks and finally made it Monday May 5th. It was my wife's birthday and the staff had a nice Happy Birthday placard on table, a special menu and then she received a complimentary and perfectly created Creme Brulee, a nice touch. Check out the other positive reviews that are spot on and factual, and believe me you will appreciate the big city dining experience in lovely small town Paris TN.

We had the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and turnip geeens. The turnip greens were so good and my wife said the chicken was very good. I had the fried pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and okra. All of it was delicious! For dessert we had blueberry lemon cake and coconut cake. Pictures do not to them justice. They were so huge the lid barely closed on the to go box. It was like 1/4 of a cake. We left there stuffed with four to go boxes for two people! Highly recommend!

I've come here because my grandparents from Paris recommended this place as a good 18th birthday dinner spot, and even though they may be just a little crazy, I am so glad I listened to them. The food is outstanding. I tried their Cheesesteak with French Fries, and I didn't even take a picture of it, I was that excited, and it was nothing short of outstanding. You get a lot of it too. If I wasn't a big back I would've had the entire thing for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the same can be said for their dessert cakes. The staff were excellent as well, they were friendly, and certainly helped making our first visit a welcoming experience, and I earnestly hope they are satisfied with working here. If you are a foodie, a travelling foodie, or just someone who just likes going to establishments in towns you don't even know the name of, I tell you now that you NEED to go to this place. P.S. Forget all the other beverages you can have with your food, GRAB THE TEA. Sweet or unsweet, their tea tastes HEAVENLY.

However, beware of places that say they serve several meats and vegetables. We had catfish, chicken tenders, fried chicken, hamburger steak, corn dogs, sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried steak, and chicken livers and several kinds of vegetables. Most items were warm not hot at all. The hamburger steak and the chicken fried steak looked like banquet frozen meal meat and tasted even worse. The chicken livers were inedible. They were pink inside and I have had a lot of chicken livers in my life none like these! The catfish was tough and I couldn't find one thing on the bar that even looked good. Everything is bland and the glazed carrots on the buffet were so tough and shriveled up that looked like they had been sitting for days. None of the vegetables looked good. They have a dessert bar as well with ice cream, but this is where I drew the line. When we walked over there to get dessert there was a piece of chocolate cake sitting there. We almost grabbed it until we see gnats flying out of the cake. They weren't on top of it they were flying from the inside of the cake, almost as if they have been living inside of the cake. If you look at the pecan pie picture you can see the gnat on the plate but the chocolate cake if you zoom in you can clearly see the gnats on it. Disgusting to say the least and regret even stopping in! One of the nastiest buffets I think I have been to and after spending $45.00 we should have just got us a pizza and called it a day! I hate leaving reviews like this but it needs to be said. Stay away from here it is not good at all!!! Marvin's in Fayetteville and Mildred's in Ardmore are some of the best buffets I have ever been to! 10/10 and worth the drive.

I would like to go…read moremore often because Lexington doesn't have many places to eat, and the majority of them aren't anything special, but until they offer a variety instead of the exact same food every time, I will only go on occasion when someone asks me to go with them. I've found that sometimes food on the buffet is too salty (and I like salt). Once the turnip greens were so salty that I had to spit them out. It was as if someone had poured a whole cup of salt in them. The catfish is also usually very salty. Nothing on the buffet is labeled, so you may have to ask about some of the meat if it's your first time to go. The salad bar is very small and minimum, so I prefer to get slaw instead, but I no longer do that. Sometimes the slaw had a strange taste and smell as if it was going bad. Once it was so completely soured that it almost made me gag. I let the server know and she just took it away. Toward the end of the meal, she brought another bowl and said it was freshly made. She never apologized. She actually acted put out over it. Needless to say, I've learned to be cautious with the turnip greens and slaw. The dessert bar is terrible. I mean that. If you like pudding with whipped cream on top (they usually have chocolate and banana), and sometimes a low-quality overly sweet store- bought cobbler, then you'll like it. They also have ice cream, but it isn't the smooth kind. It is more like the type you make at home. My advice is to order off the menu. You will not have the variety, or the amount, but you will have a better meal. The location is good. The parking is good. It's a large place so you can usually get a table pretty quickly.
