We've almost always ordered pizza. It's above average, neither bad nor fabulous, though the family likes the crust. We go back for the value. With the price of Domino's and Papa John's, Baldy's is a great value, especially if you have small kids who just want pizza. They deliver so that's nice. That is about the only good thing though. The food is not bad, but it not better than cheap cafeteria grade. I would eat it if someone gave it to me, but would not buy for myself if that makes since. There are better restaurants all over Murray and I cook better then Bald's myself. This restaurant is tucked in a strip mall where all the other businesses have gone under. There isn't any dining space as this is a take out or delivery model restaurant. We have tried their pizza and burgers and have been happy with both. We haven't used their delivery service but instead opt to go inside since they have a small store inside that has a small selection of middle eastern grocery items you can't find in the local stores: Rose water, pomegranate molasses, cookies, grains, etc.. My calzone looked fabulous, however I did not care for the marinara that they used on the inside of the pizza instead of the traditional, mozzarella, ricotta, provolone cheese is that are in a calzone. If I choose to use this restaurant the next time i am in Murray, Kentucky. I'd ask that they do not include the red sauce because it made The calzones less than desirable.but the delivery person was great. read more

Pizza was good once. As for tonight, we ordered spaghetti With meat sauce, and chicken Alfredo. It was nasty. Let me break this down for ya. We waited 52min. I know because I checked the call time. I got some spaghetti noodle, with tomato paste (not marinara sauce) with chunks of hamburger meat on top. It was even mixed in with the sauce! Much less cooked with it. Chicken Alfredo- some white sauce that tasted like metal (indicative that it came from a can) thrown on top of some noodles, with tiny pieces of overcooked, unseasoned chicken on top. All in all, I payed $20 for something we both took one bite of. It was trashed, and we went to Fazolis. Will not eat there again. read more

I typically enjoy ordering from baldys due to always being at work and getting it delivered there.. usually I would recommend them to anyone.. but tonight was the worst I've ever had it. I ordered my food and was having it was to be delivered to my residency. They told me the wait would be 30-40 minutes as I expected it to be. A little over an hour later I call them asking where my food was. The lady told me the driver took 5 meals at once and should be here soon. About 20 minutes later i finally got my food.. it was all COLD! I order a cheeseburger and an order of fries.. my cheeseburger was burnt and my fries was drenched in the seasoning, WAY TOO MUCH! I found myself in Murray on business and sort of stranded at the hotel. The gal behind the counter recommended Baldy's and I was a little nonplussed until I saw the menu. I really didn't expect such a diverse menu -- it's a mix of burgers and kabobs, calzones and samosa. Happy for something that wasn't fried, I ordered the biryani chicken and was pleasantly surprised. Tasty, fragrant, with just a little heat. The side salad was perfect for me (though if you prefer a mix of greens over iceburg, that might not be true for you). Delivery was a little longer than I'd hoped for (30-40 minutes), but the food arrived within the promised time. Baldy's is very hit or miss. It has many pros with a couple of cons. You have to love the fact that is the only delivery service in Murray that you can get pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, pastas, burgers, chicken tenders, and more. They deliver later than most pizza joints and are typically very fast. They have a very random menu and I feel they'd do better if they found their niche they wanted to be in and stuck to it. The food is greasy and unhealthy but it hits the spot on late night. The food quality all depends on who is in the kitchen, sometimes you'll get a beautifully assembled meal other times it may just be hastily thrown together. The food is extremely cheap and you can get great deals on 3 or more pizzas. The calzones are massive and can easily be two meals. The greatest kept secrets of Baldy's is the grilled Cajun Chicken Sandwich with Cheese! read more

I've gone to Murray State for 2 years now and I have just heard of Baldy's Grill yesterday. Once I realized there was a delivery restaurant other than pizza in this town, I had to try it. So today while I couldn't leave my office job, I called and ordered a beef gyro with fries and a drink to be delivered for lunch. Keep in mind, a pizza place will have your 1-3 pizzas made and at your doorstep in about 45 minutes. It took this restaurant (that is only 10 minutes from my office) 50 minutes to make a worthless sandwich and get it here. The man who delivered my food was sagging his clothes and seemed to be not showered. My food was stone cold, and the drink was warm. Also, to my surprise, there was at least two full tablespoons of yucky seasoning coated onto my french fries (not Cajun seasoning, I don't know what that stuff was). I even told the woman on the phone that I had never ate here before, and she didn't mention the condition of their 'regular' fries. I am not a picky eater at all, but this was horrible. I do not recommend this place, and I will never be ordering here again. read more
