They don't honor their warranties and when they do honor a warranty, be prepared for a bait and switch once you get to the register. I recently purchased a Shimano Speedmaster 20 fishing reel. The Shimano Speedmaster 20 reel started going in reverse just after the first use. I took it back to Turners and they said that there is nothing they could do because I used the reel. Of course I plan to use a fishing reel if I buy a fishing reel. What I am not expecting is for the fishing reel to fail after the first use. I explained this to the rep at Turner's and he said ok, they will honor the warranty. He said that they did not have the Speedmaster 20 reel in stock though, but would allow me to exchange to the Speedmaster 25 for $40 more. Sounds like a good deal, right? Ok, he tells me to head over to the cash register for the exchange. I get to the cash register and waiting in line. Finally they get to me and now the price is $180 for the exchange. The rep gives me some kind of excuse that he messed up in the pricing when he quoted me $40 more. My next experience with Turner's Outdoorsman in Temecula was when purchasing my first Blue Fin tuna rod. The sales rep Eric at the time, said he has a good deal for me and spoke about the amazing lifetime warranty offered by their Californian 60-130lb fishing rail rod. I examined the rod and the soft foam grip at the lower part of the rod. The soft foam grip seemed like a concern to me. He assured me that the Californian fishing rods are backed by their amazing lifetime warranty, and just bring it in for exchange if there is an issue. Eric convinced me to proceed with the purchase. One fishing trip later and I notice that the lower foam grip is splitting and breaking apart. The butt cap or protective end piece is also splitting. I took the fishing rod back to Turner's and Mason says he needs to call the dealer for those rods. Mason comes back and says, "good news, the dealer will honor the warranty and let you exchange the fishing rod". Mason locates me a Californian 60-130lb rod and says to head over the cash register for the exchange. I walk to the cash register and wait in line. My turn comes and Mason says, "Oh sorry, by exchange I mean that we have to charge you now half price for the fishing rod. The cost is $130". Just another bait and switch experience from Turner's Outdoorsman in Temecula. Not sure if they practice this, but Mason sure does have the bait and switch tactic down. Delay with key information on what an exchange means. Tells me to go to the register to complete the exchange and then pressures me at the cash register with the $130 up charge. Tells me that a lifetime warranty only covers the rod blank. However, pre-sale they will certainly assure you that you're in good hands with their amazing lifetime warranty on their Californian fishing rods. In this case I walked out of the store with my defective Californian fishing rod. When I google online about the Californian fishing rods, others also report that their lower grip soft foam is splitting. Some seem to have luck with Turner's replacing the defective fishing rod, others seem to report that Turner's wants to up charge them for the exchange. YMMV. I don't know if the same thing happens at other Turner's Outdoorsman locations, but just sharing my experience with Turner's Outdoorsman in Temecula, when buying a fishing rod and fishing reel from them. I've purchased fishing rods and fishing reels from other sources and never encountered an issue like this. Don't buy your fishing rods or reels from Turner's Outdoorsman. Don't listen or trust the pre-sale speak and quality claims from Eric or Mason.

They both have great knowledge and were a big help to this first-time gun buyer/owner. They let me handle a gun I was interested in, which is a cousin of the gun I ended up buying. Changing my order mid-process was painless. Bill as an ex-Marine has so much experience and a great rapport with his customers. I even got to see some of the unique challenge coins he has, something I'd never seen before in person. I learned a lot just by asking questions, and he recommended a great local outdoor range which I will very likely join. This alone will save me some money. I plan to order anything I can through their website to help our local store owner, especially ammo and some accessories and extra mags. Although things can get a little busy when it's just one person working the shop and more than one customer, it's Shangri La compared to the madness of COVID when I was looking to buy a lower for an AR-15. Imagine twenty people in line before store opening (Los Angeles) or standing room only in other shops. I learned never to go to gun shops in a rush. Plus, I always have questions and value the knowledge I get from shop owners and even other customers. Contrast this with Turner's in Temecula and wow, I had to wait at least 30 minutes just to find out I couldn't buy ammo until I'd been through the 10-day wait period and background check. One gets much more personalized service with Brass and Bass. Bill even field-stripped my new gun to show me how it's done. The service just doesn't get much better. Riley and Bill, you made my first gun purchase an informative and seamless experience, and I appreciate both of you! Thanks again!

Deven on register is a godsend for your store, super friendly, kind and the epitome of what customer service should be. Everyone on the floor, was not there on our last visit and it was a total 180 experience. Everyone was so genuine and helpful, I wish I got the name of the guy helping us because he definitely went above and beyond to assist us in finding the perfect cleats for my kiddo which I really appreciated. Ended up walking out with a new Lego set and also some new sports bras off the clearance rack, such a better vibe with this visit! P.S. And with the amazing customer we have received today, we were shown that they absolutely did have more cleats, an entire tower of them that we missed the last time because we received no assistance.

There's so much on sale right now but nobody on the floor to help. We had to hunt down someone in the shoe dept., and he wasn't very helpful. It was 85° outside and the store was HOT inside. Prices were right for the cleats and baseball glove I purchased for our 7 year old. Just wish we could have found help. I needed someone to size both boys for a glove and a bat. Nobody around so we went to Dick's. The cashier was friendly enough so I will give this place 5 stars because of her.
