Northern VA schools were by and large good, and known entities to my wife and I, having lived in the area for years. Friends of ours had a daughter who did after-school work at C2, which eventually led us to reaching out for SAT prep - something neither of us did. Miss Jessica deserves kudos for the effort she puts out to go the extra mile. I wish some of the school counselors, and definitely some of the teachers we have dealt with would take the same level of concern she did. I guess you get what you pay for, sad to say. Any time my wife had an issue, she seemed to step up and help. She's the one you want to deal with. They don't let you talk to the teachers, but we still got reports on classroom activity (it's three students at a table, not one on one), and despite not meeting them, Shawn had a good rep, and Ted always seemed helpful. We liked the idea of combining with other driven students, as sometimes our child can take a little extra motivation. SAT score went up, grades went up, happy parents, happy student.
