I'm not sure if this is for the correct location I'm referring to Mathnasium off of Estrella next to the Yogurtland. I can't say enough amazing things about this place. Specifically Damien is just such a great person. He is always so helpful kind understanding, patient loving all the things Kyle here is great as well. I've never had a bad experience with Mathnasium my girls love it. It's turned math into something that can be enjoyable for them and they look forward to going. I highly recommend this place. Thank you Damien and for all of the tutors here for making our lives just so much easier as a stay at home mom with a three year-old toddler at home this place is a true blessing and such a gem they help with homework as well and that as you know as a parent is such a blessing! After only a few days at Mathnasium, my 11 year old daughter not only scored 100% on her unit test in 6th grade, but her entire attitude changed about math. I was seriously amazed at how fast she developed in her skills, and I know much of that was due to having a more positive attitude about math itself through the outstanding example the staff provided at Mathnasium in San Clemente. From the very moment we arrived to check it out, everyone was friendly and upbeat about how much fun learning math would be. This Mathnasium has literally been a game changer for my daughter. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a child who is struggling with math, or has test anxiety, or homework stress. My daughter had all of these and I am amazed at how quickly Mathnasium has turned it around for her. I realize this sounds unreal, and I truly felt that way myself when I saw such a change in her, but I am being honest in this review when I say it was a game changer for her. After the first visit she said to me,"Mom, I never thought I would enjoy learning about math, but I'm actually excited to go back." I was stunned, and I quite frankly still am, but I am also thrilled to see such a change in my daughter's confidence about math, and discovering her own love for learning in a subject that has been difficult for her. We can't say enough good things about the staff at Mathnasium San Clemente. Lisa and David have been such a tremendous help to both of our girls over the years. (as have many of the tutors past and present) Our younger daughter has been in the Mathnasium program since before she began middle school and is now about to be a sophomore in high school. They have always worked with us to accommodate the math needs that my daughter had. They have gone out of their way and above and beyond to help her pass her math classes year after year. Math is and probably will always be a struggle for her but without their help she never would have passed. Success story...they worked with us to help her raise her D+ grade freshman year and pass the class!!! We were all thrilled with the results. My daughter started attending Mathnasium (San Clemente) in elementary school because she was ready to move on past her grade level and the public school system could not provide her individual challenging instruction in Math. She is now a Jr. in HS and is excelling at Honors Pre Calc. (I don't know how they do it; Not even the teenagers seem to be unhappy about being there!) I have to say, we have been using Mathnasium for the last few years, and it has always been a blessing. My Daughter started attending Mathnasium when she started Middle School, and it has helped her immensely. The staff at Mathnasium are terrific people and they really have a great method of teaching. What an experience! My 8th grade daughter had fallen way behind in math and was struggling at best. In January 2014, she started attending Mathnasium, San Clemente. At that time, her math grade was a solid "F"! She attended 3-4 one hour sessions per week and when school let out in June, her final report card grade was an "A"! Not only did her math grade improve, but once she started to excel the rest of her grades soared as well! She gained confidence in all aspects of her life, both personal and academic. On the last day of school, her math teacher told her, she was his best turn around story ever! On break for the summer, but will start up again in September and continue as needed! I started going to Mathnasium when I realized I was deeply struggling with my Pre-Calc class and was in desperate need of passing, with finals just two weeks away. When I contacted Mathnasium, they were willing to fit me in the schedule the same day. Lisa, the director, was so helpful in making sure that I got in the amount of time and days I needed. David was my tutor throughout the entire process and was incredibly helpful in showing me different techniques and adjusting to my level of thinking. He was great at making sure I was understanding the steps rather than memorizing them. I was able to pass my final with an A thanks to Mathnasium!! My two kids are bright and have always done and tested well in math. Until high school...then we had all kinds of challenges where the teaching wasn't up-to-snuff. And 40 kids in a class doesn't help. BUT they have done so much better with Mathnasium. They wouldn't be getting As and Bs in honors math classes if it weren't for the excellent support and instruction they get at Mathnasium. My daughter never struggled with math and was actually very average math student. She wanted to do even better so we decided to sign up. It is a stcker shock with the price, but we've been going for close to a year and she is not only a phenomenal math student, her confidence has sky rocketed! That in itself is priceless. Very happy with the staff and super impressed that kids WANT to go and do math for an hour. I personally love the help they get with their daily homework. Do not hesitate to send your kids. Also, We made a point if we are paying this fee that she attends a minimum of three times per week. Any less than that wouldn't be worth it to us. read more

We have been using the services at Mathnasium since 2007 when one of our children was struggling in Geometry 8th grade. After a very thorough assessment and a couple weeks of tutoring he went from a D to an A on his next test. A few years later in Pre-Calc during 10th grade he needed some tutoring, and again Mathnasium made all the difference. Last fall we were shocked to find out that another one of our children was testing way below her potential on 6th grade placement test. We had her assessed at Mathnasium and has been attending for the last 6 months. She now gets A's in math. They have a very thorough assessment and the teaching philosophy is much more in depth than you will find at most public schools. The environment is conducive to learning and the individual tutors are knowledgeable and effective. The cost is cheaper in the long run than hiring a private tutor. We have referred many other families and they have also seen improvements. read more

My son attended Mathnasium for about 1 and a half years. Our math woes started with 8th grade Algebra, but thankfully while attending Mathnasium, my son was able to raise his D to a A! Because I was way beyond the phase of being able to help my son with math, I continued having him attend Mathnasium throughout 9th grade and he was able to maintain an A again. My son spoke very fondly of each of the teachers who worked with him, and even though he went 4x a week, he never complained about having to go (amazing, right?!?)! It's so convenient to schedule appointments using their online system, the director was always responsive and professional, and they email periodic reports showing the progress of your child. This location would earn a 5 star if they were to allow a "freeze" period for parents who don't want to cancel the service, but want to take some time off from using it and/or if they allowed pro-rated rates in months where we take several weeks of vacation. read more
