College Greg - Greg's visit to UC Berkeley

College Greg

Greg was recommended by a friend of mine and at first I wasn't sure we would need him. My son had a…read moregreat GPA and very good SAT score, so we thought we could do all the college applications essays himself. Well, a month before he was supposed to submit his essays he decided that he did not like what he wrote and that it wasn't representing who he was. In a panic mode we contacted Greg to help. In just a month they were able to do an incredible common app essay and over 10 supplemental essays for all the EAs my son was sending out. In short 2 months my son was able to submit around 40 supplemental essays to various top 20 Engineering schools. Greg provided an amazing structure, accountability and results. It made the process so much easier and stress free, not only for my son, but also for us, the parents. And the best part of this process is, that it gave my son a much clearer picture of who he was, what he strengths are, he was able to grasp all his accomplishments from someone that has never met him before and it's not his relative. PARENTS this is HUGE for a teenager!!! We are early in the game but so far from the 2 universities that my son applied early to, with decisions by the end of the year, he was accepted to both. We can't wait to see where he ends up going! Thanks Greg, for all your help!

We will use him for ACT prep this summer as well as math tutoring. We know this is an area of strength for Greg, as tutoring was his prior career. Greg has a great demeanor. He is very approachable and he listens attentively. Greg provides balanced, fair, and honest feedback that leaves us realistic yet hopeful about college prospects. We feel so fortunate to have found an "all in one" tutor and college counselor who will guide us through these next few years.

Dino's tutoring was life-changing for my academic success. After beginning sessions my junior year,…read moreDino has since been a key resource for my SAT prep (1450 over a summer), navigating AP Physics 1 and AP Calc AB, and for the SCHS crowd, Honors Pre-Calculus. I went from struggling to keep up with the IB and AP rigor I put myself through to quickly comprehending math. He truly goes above and beyond as a tutor, from creating personalized lesson plans and notes, on-spot practice problems, and targeting my weaknesses--and is exceptionally worth it for his price. At every in-person tutoring appointment, the classroom set-up is always clean and stocked with any item--snacks, water, pencils--that your child might need (or might forget after a long day of school). If they can't make it in person or get sick, he also does online Zoom classes, which stay interactive with a built-in whiteboard and online PDF notes. As a graduating senior from SCHS and an incoming freshman at the University of Michigan, I am extremely grateful for Dino's tutoring (Thank you, Dino!) and my parents, who invested in my education with his services. If you're a parent who wants to invest in quality tutoring, schedule an appointment for your student with Dino! :)

I feel much more confident and my grades have improved significantly. He is always prepared, reliable, and genuinely cares about my success. We registered our 5-year-old daughter for a reading class when she expressed interest in learning…read morehow to read, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The office staff was so warm and welcoming, and our daughter loved picking out her supplies to create her own I Can Academy bag. Her teacher was incredibly kind and created such a positive, engaging learning atmosphere. During the class, I even heard my daughter shout, "I can read!" When it ended, she was smiling and excited to bring home new flash cards to practice blending sounds. A few days later, she had an assessment at a private school for kindergarten, which included sounding out letters and blending them. She did so well--and I couldn't believe how quickly the lessons from the academy had already made an impact. This is absolutely the place to go if you want a warm, child-first learning experience. We highly recommend it!

Hello, This is a fellow 7th grader at I Can Academy. I have to say, the staff are extremely nice…read moreand caring! Most of them are parents, so they have proper experience with this kind of stuff. The best part about the staff is that they don't just focus on teaching, they focus on YOU. The teachers have less students which means they can focus on students individually. Other schools have teachers which focus on the class as a student body. The teachers want to know YOU and what YOU need help on and what YOU like. It may be smaller than your average school, but makes up for it for the indivual care the teachers put into the students. It's a great cross between homeschool and school, where you have less stress and all the kids are chill and you get all the knowledge you need. It's a great low-stress alternative with social aspects to homeschool. ICA also has class 2 days a week (Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday). ICA helps kids LEARN subjects at an more appropriate pace and is great with helping each student GROW to be the best version of themselves. ICA will make your child SOAR into the wonders of fun and low-stress! Thanks ICA!
