Can't say enough good things about Tutoring Club! When my boys had their initial assessment, I was…read moreshocked to see that neither one could tell Mr. A all the vowels in the alphabet. Fast forward 1.5-2 years later: my oldest started high school and is getting an A+ in almost every subject. My younger is now in middle school and has commented often how much the tutoring has helped in class: "I see my friends struggling with what the teacher presented today but I already knew how to do it because I learned it in tutoring". Investing in this tutoring program was worth every penny to see my kids excel in school. They are now confident and eager to learn. Big thanks to the team at Millbrae Tutoring Club!

And I tried to help him myself and I have tried other avenues of reading and writing programs that have not been successful for him. I have searched for many in-person tutoring sites to see which will be the best fit for him. When I was consulting with Mr A regarding my son's struggles, he knew exactly how I felt. I described in short that my son can't even write a SIMPLE descriptive christmas card is when I knew he was in trouble. When Alex got assessed , he was exactly in the level I knew he was, 3 grade levels behind. The more in depth we discussed how to get Alex Caught up and that tutoring clubs program has been successful, I truly believed this might be the help he will finally get and need. Mr A said my son has time to catch up and that their program is successful. Here we are 4.5 months later, I'd like to report that I am overwhelmed with joy to know my son has made major breakthrough in comprehension and writing. Though he still has a long way to go, but in the short time frame he's been at tutoring club, I have seen a major improvements in his comprehension, in his writing, and most importantly his self esteem. I recently read one of my sons argumentative papers and I cried happy tears. Given he still have grammatical and puntuation errors, I couldn't believe he wrote a full page essay. This has brought tears to my eyes because he couldn't even write a simple note in card without feeling frustrated. I am truly impressed and I thank you Mr A and the wonderful tutorers that have given my son their time and patience in teaching him. And my son doesn't dread attending class. They are remarkable teachers. I highly recommend Tutoring Club .

During my observation of their setting, I was impressed by the hands-on methods they employed to engage each child. I attended Kumon when I was younger, and it helped me gain skills and a consistent routine to get into UC Davis. I cannot recommend Kumon highly enough. Starting this program at an early age is crucial, as it helps instill positive learning habits that can last a lifetime. Investing in Kumon now will undoubtedly significant rewards in the long run, particularly when it comes to preparing students for admission into outstanding colleges. Both of our children have advanced well beyond their school grade levels, and we truly credit Kumon more than their regular classes for that growth. The owner and instructor, Ms. Tian, is excellent to work with. She has always been flexible and understanding when our schedule changes because of sports or other activities. Her support and communication make a huge difference. The cost is absolutely worth it for the academic progress and confidence our kids have gained. We've recommended this center to other families and will continue to do so.

My child was having issues with his instructor and we had requested to switch our child to another instructor because they clashed the whole time. Unfortunately, instead of helping my child find an instructor who can work better with, the manager argued that the instructor assigned to our child was the best they've got(we found out later on that the instructor my child had was also the owner, so go figure). Our child used to enjoy Kumon and started dreading it when new management took over. To make a long story short, we pulled out our child from this Kumon Center and found a much better one that we are truly happy with. Also, I would also like to point out that most of the good reviews from this Center were made years ago already so don't be deceived. This Kumon place is now under new owners and they are not easy to work with. Our experience with them was terrible! I felt compelled to write this because I've come across a few parents who took their kids here but left as well-- Just don't waste your time and go somewhere else!

Although we've completed our Kumon journey and moved on, it's bittersweet to say goodbye. We will truly miss the entire team and the positive impact they've had on our family. Not only are my kids are strong with math, the one thing about Kumon is extremely helpful that people don't understand is that my kids have developed a very strong attention span towards working on a task. This will Ultimate help them with not shying away from what's in front of them one day in life ( I am a strong pbeliever in it). Another huge benefit of Kumon is repetitiveness. Students are required to do worksheets everyday and this triggers them at a young age to learn and adapt doing certain daily task per day and skipping it is no option. My wife and I literally go crazy make them do Kumon everyday - but we know it is all worth it. So how Christine will help: If you have been doing it for 30 years, you have seen enough kids that gone through there.
