Happy Hall Sunset Ridge is the best. Between both kids we have been using them for 8 years. They really are like family.

There are bathrooms with tiny toilets & sinks (which my early-potty trainer loved), lots of great toys, an area for imaginative play, giant blocks for building forts, a swing in the middle of the room they pull out on rainy days, and an area for arts and crafts. They have tricycles, sand toys, a vegetable garden, swings, a giant play structure, a mud kitchen...the list goes on. The new Director has super creative ideas and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to kids this age. The Co-op structure is brilliant. It really is the answer to the 'village' we all need as parents, but no longer have. If you want a school where you get to know all the other families and their kids, and create lifelong friendships, this is the place for you. I've also learned a ton about my own kids (my 2nd just started at PCNS this fall) - how they operate in their first real social group, what their challenges are, etc. AND I have learned plenty about parenting, from watching how the teachers handle big feelings and tricky situations, to seeing my peer-parents with their own children. PCNS is a play-based school, and what the children really learn is how to interact with each other socially, and appropriately in a classroom. All of the PCNS Alumni that I know are now in Kindergarten and TK at local schools are thriving. It's a lovely school and an absolute gem in Pacifica.

My little one is incredibly outgoing and needs plenty of outdoor time and play learning activities. There's no better spot if you as me than this coop. All of the teachers are amazing at what they do, they really make the little ones feel heard, held and nurtured, and there's is so much structure and involvement from all of the parents so it really makes it feel like a little village effort of raising healthy, happy kids. We also have a 1 year old and I can't wait until he gets to be at the coop too! This is a huge resource for Pacifica families!

While we could have moved her to TK, we decided to keep her in preschool because of all the growth and learning she experienced throughout her first year. She genuinely enjoys going to Brighton each day (every night she excitedly asks, "Is tomorrow a preschool day?!?!") and we've seen her grow tremendously. She has developed close relationships with all the Brighton teachers, who have made school feel like a comfortable and supportive place for her. Her teachers have been instrumental in helping her learn how to process her feelings, navigate relationships with other kids, and become more confident and independent. It's been rewarding to see her take on more of a leadership role with the younger children. We appreciate Brighton's warm yet structured environment, where the staff balances opportunities for children to learn a ton while still having a lot of fun (she especially loves the art activities and outdoor play!). The small class size allows teachers to really know each child, which lets Gillian's curriculum shine as it prepares the kids for kindergarten while building their independence and confidence. We are so glad that she goes to Brighton where she can learn, develop socially and emotionally, and have fun!

The curriculum stood out right away. It's well-rounded and includes activities like yoga, sports, ceramics, and field trips. I also like the student to teacher ratio here. My daughter has absolutely thrived since she started in August. She is learning so much every day and it's incredible seeing all the arts and crafts she proudly brings home. Beyond the classroom, we have found a true community amongst other Brighton families that we feel very lucky to be a part of. I am so grateful we found this preschool, and I couldn't recommend it more highly!

It took awhile for my son to break out of his shell, but they were very patient with him. Fast forward to 2 1/2 years later, and my son is graduating their T-K program. He has blossomed and come out of his shell so much! We initially chose Building Kidz because they offered a very structured curriculum and competitive tuition. Other places we checked out were basically glorified day care centers with their curriculum consisting of "open play". I wanted my son to learn, grow, and develop in all areas. Building Kidz exceeded my expectations. Now my 3 year old daughter is also a student at Building Kidz and she is following the same pattern as her brother; very shy and hasn't quite opened up yet to being in school and around other students. But her teachers are super supportive and patient. I can't find one negative thing to say about this school. They have been great from the very beginning. My son's first teacher was Ms. Danielle and she really helped to bring him out of his shell. My daughter's first teacher is Ms. Halie and although my daughter is still not opening up, she has shown so much patience and understanding. Even though each student has their own teacher and class, all the teachers seem to know all the students and are very engaging. Ms. Katie, Ms. Melodie, and Ms. Monica are also amazing...I wish I could name everyone, but rest assured, their whole staff is amazing and are so wonderful with all the children. Ms. Gabrielle, the school's administrator has been amazing from the beginning. She answers any questions I may have and keeps everyone updated on school activities. I couldn't be any more happier with our choice for our children's first school. Thank you Building Kidz!

From the very beginning, we were told that their goal wasn't just to prepare kids for kindergarten, but to help them become kind, social, and responsible little humans--and they absolutely delivered. Our children now attend Catholic school, and their kindergarten teachers immediately commented on how well prepared they were, both academically and socially. That foundation started here. Every morning when I walked through the doors, it felt like home. As a working mom, dropping off your child can be emotional, but I always left knowing they were safe, genuinely loved, and in a place where they would thrive. That peace of mind was priceless. The home-cooked meals were another unexpected gift. Even now, at 8 and 9 years old, my boys happily eat their vegetables because healthy, homemade food was simply part of their daily routine at PPS. What meant the most, though, was that I never felt like I was missing out on my children's early years. The thoughtful holiday celebrations, the creative projects they proudly brought home, the occasional photos that brightened my day, and all the little moments the teachers made special helped us feel connected even while I was at work. And finally, the friendships. There is something uniquely special about preschool families. You're all navigating the same exciting and exhausting stage of life together, and the friendships we made with other parents are ones I know we'll have for years to come. I have lifelong friends from each of my three boys' classes. We will always be grateful for the love, care, and memories this school gave our family. It wasn't just a preschool--it was home, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Enthusiastically recommend MSLM for other families looking for a well-rounded education (age-appropriate STREAM/SEL) and phenomenal educators in a very supportive environment for their kids. Children learn a lot because everyone at MSLM does a great job of making learning fun, interesting, and challenging. MSLM celebrates the uniqueness of each child, with teachers regularly customizing lessons to meet the individual needs of the children. The school is very organized thanks to top-notch administration. Communication is outstanding. MSLM is exceptionally dedicated (as evidenced in part by remaining safely open in-person during the entirety of COVID). It is also a kind and friendly place. MSLM is an absolute gem. When we were finally able to potty train her, we sent her to WPWL and the experience was GREAT! I seriously cannot recommend them enough. My oldest is at TK now and she has blossomed. The teachers are all so nice and caring, the first day for my daughter was rough but Teacher Lisa was there instantly to help soothe her. She was a little shy for a bit but Teacher Jeovanka and Teacher Rebecca really worked to help her play and socialize with other kids. They also knew how to read her emotions and allow her time to spend with the adults on days where maybe she was struggling. My daughter was there for one year and it made an immense difference. We still get to see the teachers from time to time around the area and they still remember us and our daughter. We now have an 8 month old and I cannot wait to get her into their Early Learners program. In all honesty, I was very nervous about sending my daughter to school, I think change is just hard. But they were sure to send photos on their app and they made me feel very secure with her. Their graduation ceremony was also super adorable. They had toddler sized cap and gowns with "diplomas". They also gifted them a pencil box that was completely full of pencils, markers, pencil sharpener, erasers. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. The owner of the school is one of the most caring, empathetic, and thoughtful people I've ever met. She's down-to-earth, sharp, and genuinely kind hearted. She's always thinking about what can be upgraded at the school even when there aren't complaints. For example, she noticed that tanbark/wood chips were always getting everywhere and when everybody came in on Monday, the entire playground had been upgraded, replacing the wood chips with a beautiful artificial grass. Another example is that she ordered adorable caps and gowns, and little diplomas for a graduation ceremony. On Mother's Day, she organized ad beautiful arrangement of homemade quiches and other treats (some nicely tied up in cute packages with pink ribbon), so that all of the moms would feel special (she did something similar for the dads too!). This is not a place where they just care about making money. This is not a place where they'll act differently once you leave.
