We started in 2022 when my daughter was just over 2.5, and PCNS has become a 2nd home for us. The…read moreschool has a great playground (open to the public during non-school hours) and is housed in a unique and very cool old Quonset hut! There are bathrooms with tiny toilets & sinks (which my early-potty trainer loved), lots of great toys, an area for imaginative play, giant blocks for building forts, a swing in the middle of the room they pull out on rainy days, and an area for arts and crafts. They have tricycles, sand toys, a vegetable garden, swings, a giant play structure, a mud kitchen...the list goes on. The new Director has super creative ideas and a wealth of knowledge when it comes to kids this age. The Co-op structure is brilliant. It really is the answer to the 'village' we all need as parents, but no longer have. If you want a school where you get to know all the other families and their kids, and create lifelong friendships, this is the place for you. I've also learned a ton about my own kids (my 2nd just started at PCNS this fall) - how they operate in their first real social group, what their challenges are, etc. AND I have learned plenty about parenting, from watching how the teachers handle big feelings and tricky situations, to seeing my peer-parents with their own children. PCNS is a play-based school, and what the children really learn is how to interact with each other socially, and appropriately in a classroom. All of the PCNS Alumni that I know are now in Kindergarten and TK at local schools are thriving. It's a lovely school and an absolute gem in Pacifica.

My little one is incredibly outgoing and needs plenty of outdoor time and play learning activities. There's no better spot if you as me than this coop. All of the teachers are amazing at what they do, they really make the little ones feel heard, held and nurtured, and there's is so much structure and involvement from all of the parents so it really makes it feel like a little village effort of raising healthy, happy kids. We also have a 1 year old and I can't wait until he gets to be at the coop too! This is a huge resource for Pacifica families!

Enthusiastically recommend MSLM for other families looking for a well-rounded education (age-appropriate STREAM/SEL) and phenomenal educators in a very supportive environment for their kids. Children learn a lot because everyone at MSLM does a great job of making learning fun, interesting, and challenging. MSLM celebrates the uniqueness of each child, with teachers regularly customizing lessons to meet the individual needs of the children. The school is very organized thanks to top-notch administration. Communication is outstanding. MSLM is exceptionally dedicated (as evidenced in part by remaining safely open in-person during the entirety of COVID). It is also a kind and friendly place. MSLM is an absolute gem. We are convinced that they could easily increase their tuition. If you're lucky enough to secure a spot for your kiddo at MSLM, jump at the opportunity. Your child will thank you.

When we were finally able to potty train her, we sent her to WPWL and the experience was GREAT! I seriously cannot recommend them enough. My oldest is at TK now and she has blossomed. The teachers are all so nice and caring, the first day for my daughter was rough but Teacher Lisa was there instantly to help soothe her. She was a little shy for a bit but Teacher Jeovanka and Teacher Rebecca really worked to help her play and socialize with other kids. They also knew how to read her emotions and allow her time to spend with the adults on days where maybe she was struggling. My daughter was there for one year and it made an immense difference. We still get to see the teachers from time to time around the area and they still remember us and our daughter. We now have an 8 month old and I cannot wait to get her into their Early Learners program. In all honesty, I was very nervous about sending my daughter to school, I think change is just hard. But they were sure to send photos on their app and they made me feel very secure with her. Their graduation ceremony was also super adorable. They had toddler sized cap and gowns with "diplomas". They also gifted them a pencil box that was completely full of pencils, markers, pencil sharpener, erasers. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. In my experience, I really feel like they were trustworthy and genuinely cared for their students.

I mean healthy instructional direction by discipline. All kids need it. The only thing I wish they did better is keep the entrance clean and the bathroom, but other than that, my focus was the quality of instruction and play-based setting for a preschooler.

The 3 classes divided by age group (Nemo=infant to toddler, Bumblebee=3-4yrs, Dolphin=4-5yrs). There is also an upstairs outdoor play area that is not accessible or viewable to the public is a safety bonus. Each class has a main teacher with a floater helper teacher. They teach good hygiene and manners, being kind to others, solid rotating monthly curriculum where kids learn a letter, number, and seasonal theme subject (recycling, plants, volcanoes, space, rainbows, body and healthy eating, others). They do not do off site field trips but have guests visit like the dentist, librarian, fire and police. We visited high end preschools like Stratford and Montessori, but during the tours there were some unhappy looking kids that were playing alone and just staring blankly and looked like they could not wait for their parents to pick them up and the adult teachers were staring at their iPhones ignoring the kids during recess. The Kids Konnect tour was a request only as they do not have an open house or walk in campus for visitors due to kid safety. The teachers were talking and interacting with all the kids running around laughing and all looked like they were having fun. The only negative is that I feel naptime is a bit long 1-3pm as my son without naptime is asleep by 6:30-7pm with nap is up until 8:30-9pm is not a big deal as the teachers do need a break for eating and mental sanity. There was a bit of a waiting list but wasn't terrible and Ingrid, the Pacifica coordinator and main Bumblebee teacher had room for us in within 3 months in March after a Dec tour. Their off peak months tend to be June-Aug where there is probably no wait list as kids transition to Kindergarten or take extended vacation. They do have a strict policy with violent outbursts (hitting, kicking, biting) and their handbook states that the child can be expelled with repeated serious incidents. Really like the auto pay with debit card or direct deposit is hassle free with auto email receipts for daycare FSA reimbursement. Another annoying issue is during early 7am drop off or special night events, the reserved parking spots are taken over by the horribly inconsiderate apartment complex residents. Please tow more often! Your child will love kids Konnect, you will also love the safety, and great open hours, if a teacher is sick they have backup teachers to cover. Highly recommend Pacifica Kids Konnect.

Teacher Yan and her staff are incredibly attentive to various social, emotional, and learning needs of each child. I originally only intended to keep my son here for a year or two until he could go to a pre-school, but he and I loved Little Bean so much that I decided to keep him here until he was ready for Kindergarten. My son started as a shy, nervous toddler and has really grown in his confidence, leadership, emotional regulation, Chinese comprehension, and practical life skills, with all of the support from the Little Bean teachers. I really don't know how I could have raised my son to be like he is now without his experience at Little Bean. There are so many positives at Little Bean: home-made meals and snacks provided, full-day operation, affordable, Mandarin and English-speaking (with some bonus Cantonese), low ratio of kids to teachers for more attention to each child, experienced with children of all ages, helps your child build social and life skills at their own pace, daily communication with parents, balanced schedule of play, art, and academics, weekly learning themes that are clearly communicated, potty training assistance, transparent, clean, licensed. You will not regret sending your child to Little Bean. I surely didn't. Both my son and I will definitely miss going there!

Then we heard from Yan about an opening at Little Bean. After meeting her, we knew immediately we didn't need to look any further. Now, my son is 4 years old. We explored other preschools, but none offered a curriculum as comprehensive and thoughtfully structured as Little Bean's. That made our decision easy: he'll stay here until he transitions to TK next year. Over the past 3.5 years, I've seen the love, care, and intention that go into everything they do. He eats fresh, nutritious meals, is fluent in three languages (two from little bean, one at home), and has grown into a kind and empathetic little person--and so much of that is thanks to the nurturing environment at Little Bean. I'm incredibly grateful we found it when we did.
