As an update the management continue to repeat and no resolution or even acknowledge the conversation ever happened from the prior manager. Basically a verbal isn't an agreement. It was my words against their words without a written contract. The regional director told me as "doing me a favor to be down at the office to meet with me". This was a very arrogant statement. As you can imagine, after they take your money, all courtesy is out the window. My suggestion is to go somewhere else where you can don't have to buy the package in advance. All of a sudden, before the school starts, the receptionist told me that my kids can't continue the Tuesday session with Philip anymore because I didn't respond to the email they sent to me. The Tuesday spots my kids have are given to other students. However, there is nothing stated in the email that we as the parents are required to respond to the email if we want to keep the same schedule, or if we didn't respond to the email, our regular session will be given to other students. No one at the center has ever asked my kids if they want to keep the same Tuesday session or switch to a different schedule before or after their tutoring session on Tuesdays. I talked to the center director Norman wang right away, he was very angry and raised up his voice to tell me that your kids have been with Philip for 2 years on Tuesday doesn't mean that they can be with Philip on the same schedule for as long as you want?!! My kids tried to talk to the front desk this evening as well, the front desk person at c2 just told my kids that since your mom didn't respond to the email, we can do whatever we want. I have included the email they sent to me. This is really unfair. I think they treated us this way is because we purchase a big package($16k)from c2 about 2 years ago. Just be very careful parents, if you want to buy tutoring package from c2, pay attention to the hours they subtract as well. A few parents have warned me about this. I will try to talk to the district manager to resolve this issue. Will keep you guys updated as soon as I hear more from the upper management. read more

This is a review that I should have done last year. Although some parents think it's very expensive, but in my opinion it is all worth it especially when your kids got in to their dream school after all. My daughter Allison originally had a private tutor for few years, but it had no comparisons to the quality of work C2 tutors provided. Although it is not one on one tutoring, but our kids don't lie and results don't lie. My daughter Allison worked with C2 for about three years in her college time, she loves going to C2 for help with home works. Often, she would go in for SAT preparation and tests, she has quite a progress after few preps. Most importantly, the tutors work very close with her on her college essays. She became a much better and a creative writer with different ideas her tutors guided her with. We have aimed UCLA and UC Berkeley all along. The director Kevin also was very helpful. He would help us with strategy and focus so we didn't have to spend time on things necessary. In the end, my daughter was proudly accepted by both of UCLA and UC Berkeley and other UCs she applied. C2 is the worst out of the worst. 1) It is very expensive and doesn't offer much helps. The tutor just seats there, waiting for you to complete the assignment. It is so low efficient. Some kids only ask one question for their entire 2 hours classes. It is so dumb and a waste of money 2) When I ask the tutor to correct my college essay, they only offer me shallow grammar correction. They never help you to restructure your article or develop your sentences 3) When you try to buy some tutoring hours, the salesman is so tricky and crooked. They will ask you to buy 100 hours which you totally don't need. They don't offer 10 or 20 hours packet. You have to buy 50 hours for a minimum start read more

I should have written this a year ago when I received my college decisions. For me personally, C2 was extremely helpful. I utilized the tutors more for college applications and my AP classes rather than SAT prep. They did a good job of prepping me for AP exams. Phillip was my primary tutor for college essay writing and without him, I'd be completely lost. I am extremely grateful for his help and he taught me a lot about writing throughout my 3 years at C2. I had originally enrolled my daughter for SAT prep and the teachers were very helpful. Since COVID canceled all SAT, my daughter started to utilize C2 as her supplemental tutoring and college application counseling. I am writing this review to let everyone know all the wonderful work being done at C2 Millbrae.      I brought my teenage son to C2 late last year after hearing about their good reputation in helping students with SAT preparations. Few months going forward, my son recently took his SAT and scored a huge 400 points higher than his pre-test!!   Even though I expected some improvements to happen, never did I imagine such a remarkable change!  I am amazed! Both my son & I had such a wonderful experience with C2 , the teachers and staffs are very dedicated and the center director Kevin Wang is very patience, and most of all, We were shown much professional guidance & knowledge. Went in to get more information at 6pm today and no one was at either front desks. Walked into both study areas and only saw students reading, listening on their headsets or talking to each other. Seemed pretty much like a library. Couldn't distinguish if there were any workers there either. Was there about 3 minutes and left. Maybe I needed to make an appointment? Supplemental tutoring and college application counseling are highly recommended if your kids go to public high school. And if you are a busy working parent like me, C2 Education definitely provides support superior than public school staffs. And it comes with cost. My son had a bad start at high school when math teacher quit in mid semester and history teacher went protesting day after new president was elected. I am not a "tiger parent" demanding high GPA, I just want my kid to gain confidence, have solid foundation to move on right path. Don't expect going to C2 unprepared and sit there for 2 hours. Kids need to be motivated and ask questions. Millbrae location got busier with more enrollment; there were times my son couldn't get his preferred homework tutor (Chris), sudden session cancellation or swap time with other kids. C2 always tried to accommodate and rotate their qualified staffs among 2 locations. Few times nobody was at front desk or had session mix up - but usually resolved thanks to KEVIN the director. Fast forward. C2 provided ACT and SAT practice books for my son, had mock tests and evaluations. Tutoring on different subject. Then I had one on one meetings with Kevin to go over scores and ways to improve. Meeting with Kevin became more important by end of junior year as he outlined important dates, school selection, expectation based on scores, GPA and in-depth analysis. This of course, was what I paid and part of their service. College essay was pain in the neck and clueless trying to figure how to make yours standout against other kids with similar or high GPA. C2 won't help writing college essay from scratch, but tutor Phil did a heck of good job helping brainstorming, provided great feedbacks what readers look for. With guidance from C2 my son began college essay(s) over the summer, and this alleviated a lot of stress when senior year started. Thanks to C2 and Kevin, my son will be going to college in Boston. Bottom lines: I got frustrated at kids school and wondered into C2 education in Millbrae. The place isn't perfect but worked well overall. Kevin is a cool guy. Money spent was worth it. read more

I actually attended c2 last year and the year before that for help on the SAT and essay writing. I had Matt for most the time and he helped me a lot! He actually made the time i spent at c2 seem to go by faster even though i was doing critical reading problems (which i dread) the whole time. Eventually i was finished with the SAT by september of my senior year in high school and matt helped me with my college essays also. All the other tutors (clint, patrick, dylan, and some others) who helped me throughout the months were also really nice and helpful. I didnt spend as much time with them but they helped me a lot with math, bio and science for school sometimes. Don't waste your money! Paid over 6K for a package of hours. They really hyped up the one-on-one and how the evaluation they give kids pin points where they target learning. My daughter was left at a desk by herself most of the time with someone coming by periodically to see if she needed anything...Really??? They ended being an overpriced after school homework desk. As soon as they realized we were not going to buy more time -- they stopped answering phone calls and we ended up not using their so called bonus hours. Difficult to do when they don't call you back. Don't waste your money on this place. Better to ask around and get a tutor to help your child that can cater to their specific needs. read more

My both children attend at C2 Milbrae for SSat and SAT and they're really enjoy with the tutoring. They would say the atmosphere is very enjoying. My daughter also is tutoring on AP classes. My daughter and I had a great experience with C2. I enrolled my daughter (11th grade) at C2 to work on building her SAT scores, mainly critical reading and writing. She worked on her writing skills that not only boosted her scores in those sections, but helped her in her school's English class as well. It also turns out that the English teacher that she's been working with, Matt, was promoted to center director, and later helped me with all my needs to transfer my daughter's hours over. Matt was my teacher for most of the time when I was there, and he really taught me to improve my grammar and critical reading skills.
