Can't say enough good things about Tutoring Club! When my boys had their initial assessment, I was…read moreshocked to see that neither one could tell Mr. A all the vowels in the alphabet. Fast forward 1.5-2 years later: my oldest started high school and is getting an A+ in almost every subject. My younger is now in middle school and has commented often how much the tutoring has helped in class: "I see my friends struggling with what the teacher presented today but I already knew how to do it because I learned it in tutoring". Investing in this tutoring program was worth every penny to see my kids excel in school. They are now confident and eager to learn. Big thanks to the team at Millbrae Tutoring Club!

And I tried to help him myself and I have tried other avenues of reading and writing programs that have not been successful for him. I have searched for many in-person tutoring sites to see which will be the best fit for him. When I was consulting with Mr A regarding my son's struggles, he knew exactly how I felt. I described in short that my son can't even write a SIMPLE descriptive christmas card is when I knew he was in trouble. When Alex got assessed , he was exactly in the level I knew he was, 3 grade levels behind. The more in depth we discussed how to get Alex Caught up and that tutoring clubs program has been successful, I truly believed this might be the help he will finally get and need. Mr A said my son has time to catch up and that their program is successful. Here we are 4.5 months later, I'd like to report that I am overwhelmed with joy to know my son has made major breakthrough in comprehension and writing. Though he still has a long way to go, but in the short time frame he's been at tutoring club, I have seen a major improvements in his comprehension, in his writing, and most importantly his self esteem. I recently read one of my sons argumentative papers and I cried happy tears. Given he still have grammatical and puntuation errors, I couldn't believe he wrote a full page essay. This has brought tears to my eyes because he couldn't even write a simple note in card without feeling frustrated. I am truly impressed and I thank you Mr A and the wonderful tutorers that have given my son their time and patience in teaching him. And my son doesn't dread attending class. They are remarkable teachers. I highly recommend Tutoring Club .

Tatum Hutton is a fantastic college counselor and mentor. My son was accepted at his first choice…read moreearly decision school (Colorado College) and at every other school to which he applied early action. We attribute much of his success in the process to Tatum's excellent advice and counsel. Tatum goes the extra mile with her students, seeking to understand them as people and scholars so that she can make the best possible recommendations. She creates an excellent resume for the students to present to their teachers who write the recommendation letters, arming the recommenders with material they might not have otherwise. She helps her students be organized well in advance of all deadlines and creates narratives that work for admissions. CC admissions sent a hand written note with their letter telling our son how impressed they were by his kindness. They "got" him because Tatum did. We have recommended Tatum to numerous families, and several have already heard back positively from their dream schools. Tatum is amazing. Oh, she also has a great class she teaches during the summer before college called "Adultish." Both my children took it and left with great strategies to take to college.

Tatum customized each lesson to be a thorough review and explanation of my previous mistakes; and as a result, I practiced my weaknesses more than traditional preparation courses. She frequently asked questions to aid my understanding, and she answered all of my questions helpfully. I would highly recommend her test prep services to anyone who is motivated student who wants to increase their test scores!

It was my words against their words without a written contract. The regional director told me as "doing me a favor to be down at the office to meet with me". This was a very arrogant statement. As you can imagine, after they take your money, all courtesy is out the window. My suggestion is to go somewhere else where you can don't have to buy the package in advance. This way it can ensure the quality of services that your kid receives.

All of a sudden, before the school starts, the receptionist told me that my kids can't continue the Tuesday session with Philip anymore because I didn't respond to the email they sent to me. The Tuesday spots my kids have are given to other students. However, there is nothing stated in the email that we as the parents are required to respond to the email if we want to keep the same schedule, or if we didn't respond to the email, our regular session will be given to other students. No one at the center has ever asked my kids if they want to keep the same Tuesday session or switch to a different schedule before or after their tutoring session on Tuesdays. I talked to the center director Norman wang right away, he was very angry and raised up his voice to tell me that your kids have been with Philip for 2 years on Tuesday doesn't mean that they can be with Philip on the same schedule for as long as you want?!! My kids tried to talk to the front desk this evening as well, the front desk person at c2 just told my kids that since your mom didn't respond to the email, we can do whatever we want. I have included the email they sent to me. This is really unfair. I think they treated us this way is because we purchase a big package($16k)from c2 about 2 years ago. Just be very careful parents, if you want to buy tutoring package from c2, pay attention to the hours they subtract as well. A few parents have warned me about this. I will try to talk to the district manager to resolve this issue. Will keep you guys updated as soon as I hear more from the upper management.
