If you are reading this, you are probably in need of a medical professional. I mean, nobody reads these for fun right? Six months ago I was taken to the ER . At 11 pm nurses came into my room to tell me I was going downstairs for emergency surgery and they would contact my wife. When I woke up next morning I had a hole in me as big as a coffee cup saucer. I also had colostomy bag attached to my waist. The surgeon that did the surgery on me, from what I understand now, probably saved my life. When the surgeon came in the next morning, he told me how close I was. He also assured me the colostomy bag "WOULD BE" reversable after the gapping hole closed up. After the hole closed, my home care WONDERFUL nurse Diane, began reaching out to the doctor. The same doctor WHO: rescued me that night from sepsis. Attached the Colostomy bag. And then assured me "IF," a reversal could be done," HE" would be the guy to do it. CRICKETS. NOTHING. Dianes calls. My wife calls. MY CALLS. No call back. When we gave up on that doctor we went to a couple other docs who did exact same reversal. Things got real very quik. One doctor would not call us back and two other doctors selling gloom and doom that went along with the "DIFFICULTY'' of my procedure. My wife and I were afraid I'D have to live with this thing for the rest of OUR lives. Then we heard of Doc Schultzel. We heard about the robotic surgery he did. We had to try. When we met him, it was amazing. Finally !! someone was optimistic. He wouldn't make any guarantees but for our conversation it was clear this was gonna be our guy. The other doctors focused on how bad my situation was. DocSchultzel focused on the positive. We really believe the other Drs a little overwhelmed with what was left for them to workwith. Every diagnosis was spot on and we've healed as he said we would. As for my injury, he was clear in explaining what it was from and how to avoid it in the future. (I had extreme fluid build up in my knee due to an injury, making it stiff and in a high amount of pain. This lasted a long time so I sought his help.). I have adjusted my exercise routine to what he recommended and have not had any issues since. Dr. Previte is kind, extremely thorough in explaining every detail and answering all of your questions. When visiting with him, he always makes you feel you can spend as much time as you need. His staff is very good as well, making me feel welcome and comfortable to see them and fitting me right in. I would highly recommend this office and Dr. Previte. As a matter of fact, I am calling him first thing in the morning to see if he can see my other daughter right away. She broke her humerus in soccer this weekend and we went to Scripps urgent care who was very good and thought she would need surgery, so they sent us to Children's Emergency Dept with the opinion that they would get the on call pediatric orthopedist to do surgery right then. Children's did the same routine of a new patient, having to take their own X-rays, and the ED doctor called the ped ortho on the phone who said no surgery and sent us home. So I got two different opinions from two respected organizations on the same day. My mind will finally be settled when I get Dr. Previte's opinion and I know from experience to trust the one I get from him.
