    Mango coconut and Banana Brulee
    Bronwyn L.

Got the mango coconut and banana brûlée, flavors of both are 10/10 and a must get if you like the respective fruit. Service was quick with self check out service, and a lot of seating area at the time we went (1pm). A bit too much ice as compare to other places, but otherwise one of the best matchas in the area.

Let's just say I am a matcha convert now! We had two drinks, a hojicha latte and a matcha latte with SOFT SERVE on top of it. Delicious. Decadent. Delightful. This shop is very busy but run efficiently so the lines move quickly. You order and pay on a tablet right when you come through the entrance, and then once your drink is ready you can pick it up from the drinks bar. Definitely see why there is a matcha crazy and matcha matcha is at the heart of it!

I recently visited and tried their Strawberry Matcha while my friends tried the soft serves. I have to say it was quite disappointing, very mild in taste and tasted like syrup. I wouldn't recommend their flavour matchas based off this as I've had better. Maybe just stick to their regular ones? My friends also found the flavour of soft serves to be lacklustre.

I stumbled across this busy Matcha cafe and was impressed by their busy line and lively cafe. It drew me to come in to trying their soft serve and I have to say I was disappointed in the green tea mix of the soft serve, flavour was underwhelming and could have used a stronger ratio of matcha. The Hojicha naturally drowned out the matcha. I'd recommend trying a drink though, they have every matcha combo you can think of! It's a great spot for small groups 2-4 as seating is limited to small coffee tables and a small bar area with hightop chairs.

Right off Church street is this very modern matcha cafe. The place is busy, but the staff are very efficient and enthusiastic. The drinks are made fresh and speedy, so you don't have to worry about waiting long. The strawberry matcha is amazing. I'd recommend it if you're not sure what to get from the menu.

Tried Matcha Matcha and got a matcha drink with ice cream on top. The drink looked really nice, but the flavor was pretty mild the milk diluted the matcha a lot. The space itself is very clean, aesthetic, and well-designed, though it was absolutely jam-packed when I went. Overall, nice presentation and vibes, but the taste wasn't anything special. The hojicha drink was much better and had more depth of flavor.

If you're in for the hype but love the modern aesthetics, I would say check this place out. Stumbled upon this cafe during my visit to AGO. They're a bit overpriced in my opinion but it was hard for me to decided which drink to try. I went for the standard drink and it wasn't all too bad!

Having tried their hot drinks and cold, I think I may prefer the hot a bit more haha. I love their Tokyo fog latte. Meanwhile the banana brûlée was very lacklustre. Tasted simply like matcha poured over the Korean banana milk. I like how once you enter the store, you order via two kiosks and then can go around the bar counter to wait for your order. Perfect for people that don't like to talk :) They also have quite a few desserts (Swiss rolls etc) and softserve as well. Service was pretty fast even though there tends to be a small lineup (mostly for the ordering kiosk). Will be back to try their other drinks!

Some might beg to differ, but easily the best matcha in town! The attention to detail, craft and creativity in their unique flavours sets the bar high compared to other cafès. On top of the quality of their beverages and pastries, the aesthetic of the cafè makes the overall experience that much better (and of course -- a great instagram post).

I've tried the strawberry matcha latte and the blueberry lavender ube matcha latte here and they were both amazing. Out of those two, my favourite is the blueberry lavender ube matcha latte. I think I love blueberry in matcha more than strawberry. There's an extra charge for milk substitutes so I just go for their regular whole milk (unless you're lactose intolerant). You order your drink yourself using the kiosk and the workers will call your name once it's ready. The matcha here is expensive but really good! I'd recommend it.

Matcha is good just on the expensive side. Is about $10 a drink and next time I'm going to try the cold drink instead.

10/10 review for the cocktail half of matcha matcha LOVEEEEEE gosh I can't even describe how fun and enjoyable this experience was. I almost cried tears of happiness. Kaden(spelling?) and team were amazing. I wish i got all their names. They were so accommodating and had the best recommendations for drinks. I had a lovely conversation with Kaden and really hope to come back. Visiting from Seattle, we don't have many spaces like this. It's so unique and really special to experience this with your friends. Kaden - i'm forever dreaming of that winter melon key lime shot!!! Til we meet again, kamsahamnida

A matcha cafe by day, cocktail bar by night! What a vibe it is in here and they have delicious cocktails as well. The staff are super friendly and really know a lot about their drinks. They checked up on us to make sure we enjoyed our drinks. The pandan one was definitely a favourite of the variety of drinks we got. They also have a cute letter board that you can submit sentences/ words to, and it'll change/ update once they get your submission. Seating is limited so you'll probably have to wait a bit without a reso. Overall, had an amazing time here, especially sipping on their delicious cocktails. Can't wait to come here earlier during the day to try their matcha lattes as well.

We arranged to visit the cats as a treat and enjoyed a superb cup of coffee and lunch today. From the moment we stepped inside, we saw that the café has blended vintage style with modern comfort beautifully, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The cozy décor, soft ambiance, and carefully arranged seating make it easy to relax. Moreover, what makes this café especially unique is its thoughtfully designed, separate cat lounge; it offers a calm, enriching environment for its cats. We were able to completely unwind and appreciated their calming presence as we played with rod toys, introduced tube treats, and relaxed when they napped close to us. It was a happy and soothing experience. The Vintage Cat Café is an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch or a cozy coffee break because the menu complements the relaxed atmosphere. We thought that the culinary offerings were impressive, from expertly crafted coffee to a tantalizing selection of homemade pastries and hearty lunchtime treats, and everything is prepared with care and quality in mind. We recommend the spicy chicken wraps, particularly for guests who appreciate food that combines flavour with a hint of heat; these were delicious. Beyond the décor, the cats, and the food, what truly sets this cafe apart is the welcoming, knowledgeable staff who are enthusiastic about exceptional service and animal welfare. We found that their dedication is evident in every interaction with their customers, and this contributes to an experience that feels genuine and heartfelt. The Vintage Cat Cafe is more than just a café; you leave feeling genuinely uplifted, and whether you stop by for the coffee, homemade treats, charming vintage ambiance, or the one-of-a-kind cat lounge, you will have an unforgettable experience. He wanted us to visit a place after our hour of fun to get something to eat or drink. The funds remaining allowed each one of us to get something for $10. He had a rather tight deadline to meet. He asked me whether I could find something with this restriction. First, I dislike restrictions, especially when it comes to food and drink. Second, what can you truly get for $10? Something on McDonald's value menu? I wasn't feeling it. I said that if we wanted to order something more substantial, that we could shell out ourselves. So, my manager's budget covered beverages. For food or more drinks, we had to pay. Done. I presented a list of places nearby. Unicorn Cafe sparked my interest. It's a quirky Asian cafe that offers drinks, snacks, ice cream, poke, and more. He was good with it, so we headed over here after our escape room adventure. I had parked on a side street where it was free, across from East Lynn Park. You can park on Danforth Avenue, but spaces are limited and it's Green P paid parking. Our group of six was greeted by a friendly woman at the front counter. We wanted to dine in. She said to grab any booth and someone would come over. We sat at a booth and admired this unicorn-themed eatery. The woman came over and asked that we look at the menu online. Someone would come over to take our order. We asked for water to begin. She nodded and left. I ordered the following items: - Unicorn croffle with orange sorbet - Black sesame potted plant I was the first person to place my order in the group. My manager heard what I had ordered and wanted the same thing, but with mango ice cream. Others in the group ordered these items: - Uniroll in mango ice cream, topped with chocolate chips and strawberries - Fries - Banh mi - Korean cheese corn - Honeycomb iced latte We never got our water. A man came over to take our orders. He took two items down incorrectly. We asked for water again. He nodded and left. My manager started to cough. He needed water. I had had it. I went up to the counter to politely ask for water for the third time. He came with me, hoping to get some immediately. Luckily, he was okay. I have CPR certification! We did not get our water until ten minutes after this third request. So sad. I had asked this male staffer to put our drink orders on one bill for my boss to claim it. For individual orders, I asked if we could place them with him now. He said later and left. Later never happened. My friend ordered his banh mi online and got it 20 minutes later. I decided to order my croffle that way. It worked, but I was the last person to get both my drink and croffle. Needless to say, service was horrible. The place was short-staffed. Not getting water to start and asking three times for some was appalling. Here's the scoop on what we had ordered and our verdicts: Unicorn croffle with orange sorbet It was excellent. The croffle was crunchy and flaky. I loved the Kawartha Dairy orange sorbet. My boss got Oreos with his croffle. I did not, which was a bummer. Black sesame potted plant It was creative, but okay. I wanted more black sesame flavour, but the crushed Oreo cookie part (the dirt) overpowered everything. Uniroll in mango ice cream, topped with chocolate chips and strawberries I got my colleague to go up to the counter and record a video on how it was made. She did and enjoyed seeing it being prepared. She enjoyed her rolled mango ice cream and the toppings that came with it. Fries My colleague got a huge plate of fries. It became our communal meal. He felt bad that I didn't get my food until an hour later and said that I could have them all. He was so nice, but I didn't inhale them. I had a few. They were crispy and yummy. Honeycomb iced latte My friend got this drink. It had honeycomb sugar on top. He let me have a bit of it. It's the real deal. It was sweet and cool to see. His drink had an espresso shot. He liked it. We are similar in that he felt the drink was too sweet. It could have done without the sugar in the drink itself. The honeycomb sugar on top would have added the perfect sweetness. Banh mi My friend loved his banh mi. The bread was crusty and soft where they should be. The veggies and meat were to his liking. He devoured it impressively fast. Korean cheese corn The newest member of our team ordered it. My friend had some. They both didn't like it. Shredded mozzarella wasn't melted on top of the corn. If you are going to add cheese, it needs to be melted and oozing all over the corn. It was a hard pass and a huge disappointment. Credit and debit cards are accepted. My boss had no issues with the machine and his transaction. As much as I loved my unicorn croffle, the poor, slow service put a damper on our experience. They need more staff and improvement in service. (378)

It was a nice activity and the instructor shared some basic candle knowledge with us. Sadly, it's not as hands on as I thought. You first smell the scents on the pre-set sticks, pick three, glue the wick on, mix three pre-measured scent bottles into the pre-poured hot wax, mix, pour into candle jar and wait. I could probably have done this is in 15 min. Majority of the class is the instructor describing the scents, explaining the different notes, teaching how to burn candles, selling things to add on, etc. We then spent another 20-30 min just waiting for the candle to set. I have been to other candle, soap, perfume making classes that were more hands-on. So maybe this felt very beginner. My candle also set funny (sunk in) and I think the wax they provided was clumpy. I did a diy candle making kit at home and it set so nicely so not sure what happened here. I did their glowness lab which is a little more expensive because it "incorporate essential oils, colour therapy and the healing power of crystals". The color therapy meant different color jars to pick from and the crystals were an additional $10 to purchase. With the 50% off it came to $62 for the class. I had fun because it was with a friend but I don't think I would really recommend this or come back. It's borderline worth it for $60, definitely not for $120.
