Got the mango coconut and banana brûlée, flavors of both are 10/10 and a must get if you like the respective fruit. Service was quick with self check out service, and a lot of seating area at the time we went (1pm). A bit too much ice as compare to other places, but otherwise one of the best matchas in the area.
Let's just say I am a matcha convert now! We had two drinks, a hojicha latte and a matcha latte with SOFT SERVE on top of it. Delicious. Decadent. Delightful. This shop is very busy but run efficiently so the lines move quickly. You order and pay on a tablet right when you come through the entrance, and then once your drink is ready you can pick it up from the drinks bar. Definitely see why there is a matcha crazy and matcha matcha is at the heart of it!
I recently visited and tried their Strawberry Matcha while my friends tried the soft serves. I have to say it was quite disappointing, very mild in taste and tasted like syrup. I wouldn't recommend their flavour matchas based off this as I've had better. Maybe just stick to their regular ones? My friends also found the flavour of soft serves to be lacklustre.
I stumbled across this busy Matcha cafe and was impressed by their busy line and lively cafe. It drew me to come in to trying their soft serve and I have to say I was disappointed in the green tea mix of the soft serve, flavour was underwhelming and could have used a stronger ratio of matcha. The Hojicha naturally drowned out the matcha. I'd recommend trying a drink though, they have every matcha combo you can think of! It's a great spot for small groups 2-4 as seating is limited to small coffee tables and a small bar area with hightop chairs.
Right off Church street is this very modern matcha cafe. The place is busy, but the staff are very efficient and enthusiastic. The drinks are made fresh and speedy, so you don't have to worry about waiting long. The strawberry matcha is amazing. I'd recommend it if you're not sure what to get from the menu.
Tried Matcha Matcha and got a matcha drink with ice cream on top. The drink looked really nice, but the flavor was pretty mild the milk diluted the matcha a lot. The space itself is very clean, aesthetic, and well-designed, though it was absolutely jam-packed when I went. Overall, nice presentation and vibes, but the taste wasn't anything special. The hojicha drink was much better and had more depth of flavor.

Tasted simply like matcha poured over the Korean banana milk. I like how once you enter the store, you order via two kiosks and then can go around the bar counter to wait for your order. Perfect for people that don't like to talk :) They also have quite a few desserts (Swiss rolls etc) and softserve as well. Service was pretty fast even though there tends to be a small lineup (mostly for the ordering kiosk). Will be back to try their other drinks!
Some might beg to differ, but easily the best matcha in town! The attention to detail, craft and creativity in their unique flavours sets the bar high compared to other cafès. On top of the quality of their beverages and pastries, the aesthetic of the cafè makes the overall experience that much better (and of course -- a great instagram post).
I've tried the strawberry matcha latte and the blueberry lavender ube matcha latte here and they were both amazing. Out of those two, my favourite is the blueberry lavender ube matcha latte. I think I love blueberry in matcha more than strawberry. There's an extra charge for milk substitutes so I just go for their regular whole milk (unless you're lactose intolerant). You order your drink yourself using the kiosk and the workers will call your name once it's ready. The matcha here is expensive but really good! I'd recommend it.
10/10 review for the cocktail half of matcha matcha LOVEEEEEE gosh I can't even describe how fun and enjoyable this experience was. I almost cried tears of happiness. Kaden(spelling?) and team were amazing. I wish i got all their names. They were so accommodating and had the best recommendations for drinks. I had a lovely conversation with Kaden and really hope to come back. Visiting from Seattle, we don't have many spaces like this. It's so unique and really special to experience this with your friends. Kaden - i'm forever dreaming of that winter melon key lime shot!!! Til we meet again, kamsahamnida
A matcha cafe by day, cocktail bar by night! What a vibe it is in here and they have delicious cocktails as well. The staff are super friendly and really know a lot about their drinks. They checked up on us to make sure we enjoyed our drinks. The pandan one was definitely a favourite of the variety of drinks we got. They also have a cute letter board that you can submit sentences/ words to, and it'll change/ update once they get your submission. Seating is limited so you'll probably have to wait a bit without a reso. Overall, had an amazing time here, especially sipping on their delicious cocktails. Can't wait to come here earlier during the day to try their matcha lattes as well.

This place was super busy but had such a vibrant energy.... The service was impressively quick, and I liked the convenience of ordering ahead. The interior is very modern with a sleek green, black, and silver aesthetic that feels perfectly suited for a younger/trendier crowd. As for the menu... the cheesecake matcha was divine... easily the highlight for me. I also tried the matcha croissant, which was a bit messy to eat but absolutely delicious and not over-the-top. While I'd love to see more seating available next time... the atmosphere and flavors are definitely worth it. I'll be back for sure! read more
Came here to try it after keep hearing about it. Kind of disappointed, the matcha was very bitter without added sweetness. After being in Japan, I simply wanted to find matcha that can be drunk straight up without all the added stuff, and this didn't live up the hype. I also found that their matcha is super over priced. With the given price, the quality was not good. The place itself has a good amount of seatings available. You won't have to worry about not having anywhere to work/seat at. The interior felt relaxing and cozy. The service itself was simple, you preorder your drink at the machine and then you wait for your number to be called. read more
the interior has changed a bit since their opening, but it's still a vibe. the space is large, and there's a kiosk at the front where you order and pay before the drinks are made. we ordered two matcha drinks to go: the yuzu matcha lemonade and the matcha london fog. the yuzu matcha lemonade was light and refreshing with a citrus kick, while the matcha london fog was smooth, creamy, and cozy. read more

If you're in for the hype but love the modern aesthetics, I would say check this place out. Stumbled upon this cafe during my visit to AGO. They're a bit overpriced in my opinion but it was hard for me to decided which drink to try. I went for the standard drink and it wasn't all too bad! read more

Decided to try this cafe finally! It's on Church at Carlton, just across the road from the Loblaws. Customers need to order from the tablets at the counter. Straightforward. Seems like it would be prone to a bit of a bottle neck if there's a lot of people who are waiting to order & those waiting to pick up their order. I decided to go with the banana brulee matcha with the strawberry matcha cookie. The matcha was quite sweet and I couldn't taste a lot of banana. I would maybe try again later but try it with another milk. I ordered it with coconut milk and I could taste coconut more than banana. There's banquet seating against the wall (10 or so 2 seat tables?) and about 6 high top seats at a counter top at the back. Seems like it would be a high turn over for tables but there's people working on laptops who look like they've already been there for hours. Update: tried the strawberry matcha with coconut milk. Flavour is nice to start but once the strawberry flavour disappears, the taste of the matcha is quite bitter for me. read more
Was quite popular in the summer, back when they had long lineups. The hype died down a bit over time so the lineups aren't that long. The ordering process is all done on two available tablets which makes it easy to process the options and it included pictures for everything. Cheesecake matcha: Quite strong matcha flavour. The quality was good though I feel like there wasn't much of a cheesecake flavour that I expected, it was more of a typical cold cheese foam. Taste wise was great but found the price a bit steep considering there was a lot of ice and not as much of the drink. I went on a weekend afternoon so all the seats were filled up. There's very little seating, so the chances of having to take it to go are higher. Not the ideal cafe spot if you plan on sitting down. read more

Super cute and modern matcha cafe right on Church St. The vibe is minimal and aesthetic. Think clean lines, soft lighting, and IG-worthy drinks. Perfect spot to grab something unique if you're a matcha fan. I tried Blu and Pistacio both drinks have a nice twist to it. Ordering is self-serve on kiosks, which keeps things moving, but seating is limited. If you're a matcha purist, just know some drinks lean sweet/milky -- not super intense matcha flavor. But overall, a great spot for something different! read more

Came here on a weeknight. It's not in the most lovely neighborhood and is mostly frequented by wealthy college kids, but it's a nice low key spot with good cocktails. One of the bartenders there has worked at bar chef and even made us key lime pie cocktail shooters similar to what you can get at Double Chicken Please in NYC. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to this bar, but if I was in the neighborhood, I'd definitely go there again. read more

Ordered the Matcha Latte and the cheesecake specialty version, they used some high quality matcha powder in their drinks. You have the option of ordering on their kiosk, and their staff will kindly provide you a ticket to confirm the order. This has a small spacing and fairly quiet environment. However, it's not set up for a long term stay as it's a bit cramped. Best to order to go. read more

Classic matcha with milk was exactly as you would expect with high quality grassy slightly bitter matcha mixed with creamy and sweet milk. The yuzu lemonade is tart and refreshing. You order on electronic kiosks and then your name is called when your order is ready. The inside is quite industrial looking with a few small tables and seats close to one another. I would say if you're passing by and there is no line, it is a great spot to grab a refreshing and high quality matcha drink to go. If you need to wait in line or are planning on a place where you can sit comfortably and catch up with friends, it may not be the best place. All in all enjoyed the drinks and would come back to get another to go. read more

The drinks were amazing like i could die. The ice cream was next level. The service was very good the people that were extremely nice. The atmosphere was quite nice too I liked how all the seats were set up and how you were allowed to bring dogs in. read more

Such a cute cafe, very modern, and clean ~ Once you enter the cafe, there are a few ipads where you can order. The staff are right behind the counter where you can also ask for recs! I've been to Matcha Matcha twice and have tried their strawberry matcha, ube matcha, and machacano. Definitely prefer the lattes (strawberry/ube) over the macha-americano. The lattes are more sweet while the machacano was on the bitter side. Definitely expected though! Enjoyed these drinks and will be back to try more! read more

I love this place! I got the Tokyo fog and the pistachio croissant. I thought the Earle grey and the matcha blend worked well together. You can definitely taste both teas. The croissant was amazing. Not too sweet and still crispy. Also the ambience was very modern and trendy. 10/10 would come back. read more
Having seen this place a lot on social media, I was excited to visit particularly being a big matcha fan. I probably didn't pick the right drink from this spot, I was feeling too full for something milky and wanted to try their matcha yuzu lemonade instead. While it was very refreshing, there was only a slight bitterness from the matcha, so I'd recommend getting another drink to try if you come here. However, the ice cream was definitely something I'd recommend, the blend of rich matcha and roasted hojicha was really intense which I enjoyed! The ambiance was also very fun, with lots of people bar side having matcha, I'd be curious to try their other drinks next time :) read more
Loved the strawberry matcha with oat milk! They had 2 kiosks you can place your order at right when you walk in. It was a little busy when I went, but my drink came out fast. I usually like to take my time drinking a cold drink, but it was so good I finished it pretty fast. Definitely will be back next time I'm in Toronto read more
Came here because we saw it a lot on tik Tok and was recommended highly by locals. Kind of disappointed with my drink though. I got the dirty atcha which is coffee + matcha. Cant really taste the matcha, mainly like milky coffee. The pandan matcha was really good but again int really taste the matcha. You mainly taste sweet pandan. Good to try this place out once. read more

Worth waiting in line for in the freezing cold of winter?? I think it was. Definitely one of the best matchas I've ever had in Toronto. I love a strong matcha latte that doesn't clump and actually tastes like matcha and not sugary grass. Matcha matcha had amazing lattes. I got a regular matcha latte less sweet and my friend got a coconut pandan latte. It was my first time trying pandan and it was so yummy. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because there was close to no seating inside. It would be nice to be able to grab a matcha and sit there for a while but that's not really an option. read more

I'm a matcha girlie and it's my go-to order pretty much everywhere I go. I finally had the chance to stop by Matcha Matcha, Toronto's new matcha cafe that opened earlier this year. I went in on a weekday morning so it was quite empty but started to fill up as the day went on. There is seating, but the tables are definitely on the smaller side. You order on an iPad and there is even a cool message board that you can interact with. What I got: - Tokyo Fog (early grey, vanilla, lemon zest, matcha) Final Thoughts: I think the cool thing about this cafe is definitely its cool flavor combinations (ex. Coco Pandan, Cheesecake latte, Blueberry lavender ube, etc). I enjoyed my Tokyo Fog but I also like a sweeter matcha so this may not be to everyone's taste. The drinks are also on the pricier side with an additional cost for alternative milk so you can easily pay close to $10 for a single drink. The cafe is pretty central so I'd stop by to treat myself to one of the cool drinks, but you can probably get a good quality matcha elsewhere for less. read more

Came here during opening weekend on March 3rd at around 5pm and waited just over an hour to get inside and then probably another 10 mins for our drinks. We heard so much hype and as a matcha enthusiast I was super excited to try them out! We ended up getting two specialty drinks: the cheesecake (two of us got this) and the coco pandan. The drinks were around 7 dollars with an extra charge for milk alternatives. Both of us who got the cheesecake felt the cheesecake taste definitely could have been stronger. The coco pandan was definitely the superior drink, the flavours were strong and mixed with the matcha super well. It was packed inside, but there was adequate seating and I could see this being a great place to study once the hype died down a bit. It's cool to see the drinks being made by hand, though there was some hold up with the cheesecake drinks. After an hour of waiting outside already, it was a bit frustrating having to wait longer inside and have people who ordered after us get their drinks before us. Overall, I'd be open to coming back (probably earlier in the day and on a weekday to avoid crowds) to try some of their other specialty drinks. read more
I've been seeing Matcha Matcha all over Instagram, even before its opening and I'm so happy to say I've finally tried it! PRO TIP: Avoid the long lines and go closer to opening hours! I went after a night shift, just before 8 am (they open at 7 am) and there was absolutely no line. Walking in, the atmosphere is quite chic. There's two kiosk iPads where you help yourself with ordering. Hence, there's very minimal interaction with staff - essentially only the two seconds when you're picking up your order as they call out your name. My drink of choice was the COCO PANDAN for my first visit. It's subtly sweetened by the pandan syrup, allowing the rich and earthy matcha to come through nicely. I liked that it has that hint of bitterness at the end of each sip, yet was not grainy at all. This place is definitely for true matcha lovers! At $7 I did feel it was a bit pricey but was happy that I got the quality I came for. read more
