THANK YOU WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR YOU…read more Dr.Pugliese saved my dogs life!!!!!!! No words can express the gratitude we have for Dr Pugliese. After talking with other vets on the island they weren't sure if they were able to help our dog. We took our dog here to Dr Pugliese and she took our dog like it was her own and went to work. She monitored our dogs recovery through the night and hand feed her. Who else does this? After my dogs life saving surgery, my dog was back to normal running around playing and very happy. Dr Pugliese gave my dog life. To Dr. Pugliese you are an amazing doctor and amazing Human being. We are grateful for what you did for our dog and for saving her life.

If I could give a 0 star, I would. These people that I have…read moredealt with are absolute savages with no compassion. This practice does not care for the animals/pets or their owners, only for your hard earned cash. Karma will deal with you, trust. They refused to tell me the price of the bloodwork and a minor procedure that was "required" for said procedure(which is confirmed false by multiple other vet places and ASPCA). They also did tests and other stuff that I did not consent to or was aware of, I was informed only after everything was done. For example, their reason for administrating the FIV test (without our consent) is to "protect my staff", what a load of bs, FIV cannot be transmitted through humans, and the vet even complimented my cat's gentle personality and docile demeanor. They definitely pick and choose who to target. Avoid this place at all cost, there are way better options on the island or in Brooklyn.

I saw Dr. Macri. I find her very compassionate, smart and fair. One thing that would definitely…read morebring me back is she did not give me only the most expensive options, did not run unnecessary blood work ups or stool samples until we found out if the my dog Bully had a mass in his stomachs and if so if it was operable. We chose to have a half sonogram which showed a mass and followed up with a full sonogram which showed several masses connected to his liver. Not operable By running blood tests and stool samples would have added hundreds to a bill and would be totally unnecessary. These are the things that show me they care and are not taking advantage of you. We decided not to wait even though Bully wasn't in real pain but uncomfortable as there was no telling when he would be but it would be very soon. After a day of visiting his favorite neighbors, treats and love we brought him in. This was the saddest but easiest euthanasia I have had to do in my life. My baby wasn't screaming in pain, seizing or uncomfortable. He liked Dr. Macri and since he was just there was not suspicious, nervous. He went to sleep and left us calmly, easily. Thank you Dr. Macri for loving on my baby, you easiness with him and your compassion . Love Dawn and Irv

I entrusted my 14-year-old dog, Lucy, to this veterinary practice expecting a thorough examination…read moreand an accurate diagnosis. Instead, I left disappointed, frustrated, and with the feeling that my dog's medical issues were not properly evaluated. I was told that Lucy had a fungal ear infection without any diagnostic testing to confirm it, despite being quoted approximately $200 for laboratory testing alone. She was prescribed treatment that ultimately proved ineffective, and no systemic antibiotic was prescribed, even though her infection continued to worsen over the following weeks. What concerns me even more is that I later sought a second opinion from another veterinarian, who immediately identified the ear infection as a yeast infection, carefully explained the difference, showed me exactly what was happening inside Lucy's ear, and demonstrated how the ear canal had become narrowed due to inflammation. He prescribed an appropriate treatment plan that included antibiotic ear drops, oral antibiotics, prednisone, and Apoquel. Within a very short time, Lucy showed significant improvement. The difference in the eye examinations was equally troubling. I was previously told that Lucy's eyes were essentially normal and that she could see through them. The second veterinarian performed a far more careful examination, explained that she has glaucoma, pointed out the differences between both eyes, and referred me to a veterinary ophthalmologist for specialized care. That level of attention and communication gave me confidence that my dog was finally receiving the care she needed. He also performed a much more comprehensive physical examination and identified another issue that had not been discussed previously--a soft mammary cyst that will eventually require surgical removal after her current medical problems are addressed. Rather than recommending multiple expensive visits without a clear plan, he prioritized Lucy's conditions logically: first the ear infection, then the glaucoma evaluation, and finally surgery. Perhaps the most surprising part was the cost. The second veterinarian charged me approximately $150 for the examination, medications, and a complete treatment plan. I left understanding my dog's condition, knowing what to expect next, and most importantly, seeing real improvement almost immediately. Lucy is 14 years old--about 72 years old in dog years. At her age, she deserves careful, compassionate, and thorough medical care. My experience here simply did not provide that level of confidence. Every pet owner deserves clear communication, careful diagnostics, and treatment plans based on a thorough examination. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at this practice, and I cannot recommend it based on the care my dog received.

I just moved to Staten Island from Brooklyn and was looking all over to find a good vet for my dog…read moreand cat. One day, my dog Roy left leg was suddenly holding on the air and seem pain to put it back down. So I was urgent searching from yelp and called to CompleteCare since it's not far from my home and they have the spot available. Dr. San Giorgio is amazing and knowledgeable. He go through every steps before the process and explain to me why it caused his knee to that. He then did an injection for Roy and said just need to wait till it heel by itself which might take at least few months unless I want to do a surgery which can fix right away. But I don't think it's that seriously to do it by surgery. So I decided to bring him home first and see how it go. Then I brought him back after 10days for recheck with X-ray to make sure his bone doesn't have any issue because he still hanging the leg up sometime. It had been passed like what, 2 months? Finally he's walking like normal but I won't say 100% recovery because he's a senior now. I'll definitely come back for any issue and recommend you to book in advance. Sometime I'm not able to book an appointment and will end up go to another vet when it came to emergency.
