Hate to write a less than 5 star review because Cameron, Lauren, and the crew are very nice people. This is more a 3.5 star review. However, several small issues seemed to add up where we aren't sure we would use them again. Let's start with the positives: When I was quoting with other companies, the quotes were all over the place and I just felt so lost. I loved that Lauren spent significant time going over every detail about what we were moving and how much packing we were going to do. She was able to give a very detailed and reasonable quote including how many men for packing and moving, number of trucks, and the different charges etc. I really appreciated the transparency upfront. We had them pack most of our things so materials was all included in our quote. When we did pack some on our own, we had left over boxes which they were happy to use as well (we were not limited to using only what they provide). They offered to help take my husband's Vespa as they had some room and they also took alot of my empty boxes at the end of the move, which was so helpful. Cons: They really weren't able to unpack everything the second day within the 8 hour window. Towards the end of the day, they just started to pile up boxes in the garage to unload as fast as possible. Even with that, we still went over time. Just seemed that time management was a bit of a problem. Alot of our newly painted walls are scuffed from their jeans and pants rubbing on them when moving furniture. Granted the hallways were a bit narrow but maybe they shouldn't wear jeans? Some of our things were broken during the move such as a floor lamp, dresser leg (completely split in half) and our 75 in TV has a small but deep scratch with dead pixels. We did send a text to Cameron to let him know but no reply (whereas he was quick to respond previously). Tldr: Overall an OK experience. Price fair. Showed up reliably, worked hard, but still a little careless. read more

Hate to write a bad review, and Cameron is an extremely likable guy trying to kick start a business. I truly wish him the best. Cameron himself does all that he can, but at least on my job, he was short workers, only wound up with 3 rather than 4 and by late afternoon, one of his guys just went home. They were all young and not their careers obviously. Anyway, all I want to say about my experience is that they tried their hardest, stayed late into the evening, put together a very heavy gym machine in my garage, really trying to please. They got another guy to take over from the guy who left. So the issue is that they damaged 2 of the 3 TV'S and a leg of a very expensive dining room table. Cameron adamantly claims that they are very careful and woukd have reported to us if that had happened. Despite his sincerity, it did happen. The TV'S were dropped too hard causing the type of internal screen damage thar occurred. They worked perfectly before the move and were relativity new, top of the line Sonys prior to the move. My girlfriend's table had been in'the family, was valuable, and we are looking into someone who can repair. It's becoming a legal matter since he claims that 6 months have passed before we made a claim, but we will easily prove that the TV's were not moved or installed until now because we have been remodeling the place and haven't moved them until now. Anyway, I'm sure they've learned a lot since them, gave a more reliable crew, etc, just jy sad story and a heads up. read more

I am thrilled to report Mastiff Moving gave us the best service anyone could ever hope to have! Cameron Fassett, the owner, and his staff quickly and efficiently got to work. They were very polite, considerate and packed everything with the utmost care. They ended up loading their truck with all of our belongings in one day instead of two as had been anticipated, and were eager to get on the road. This meant they would arrive at our new home well before we could even get there. The reviews for Mastiff Moving consistently show them to be extremely trustworthy. This made me feel comfortable allowing them into our new home from 500 miles away with the aid our smart home apps to open the garage door, disarm the security system and adjust the thermostat. All of our belongings were unpacked, arranged and set up beautifully! Cameron gave us a tour via FaceTime to make certain everything was in its proper place and left our home spotless. When we finally arrived, it was surreal to walk into our new home and have our furniture, clothes and even kitchen utensils ready to use and enjoy. Mastiff movers did a great job with my stuff. They were very careful and made sure none of my items were broken. My move was a relatively short distance of about 1.5 miles and I only have a one bedroom apartment so it wasn't a huge ordeal and my primary concern was that my two TVs and my large glass table not get damaged. They did great with this. The only negative was the time it took and the price which was about 30% more than expected. They explained this was because my 2nd floor apartment had no elevator which may have been part of it, but the larger issue was one of the two movers was limping on a clearly and injured leg that seemed to get worse as the move went on to the point that the unload was done almost entirely by the other mover with the injured guy just sitting in the truck. All said the job was completed and my stuff was handled carefully but I am not sure if I would use them again. read more

These guys work hard. Lauren took an inventory of all our belongings and gave us a competitive quote. We had four guys show up to move a four bedroom house across town and they did it in the expected timeframe and at the quoted price. We did not have the kitchen ready for the refrigerator; so the crew left the fridge plugged-in in our garage (at our request). Cameron, the supervisor, came back on his own later the same week (unexpectedly) to help us hand cart the fridge into the kitchen. Impressive guy. read more

Cameron and crew moved us into our new home today and we are very pleased with the results. No, they are not the fastest as other reviewers have noted, but they are meticulous, careful and courteous. They moved our very heavy treadmill, several antique pieces, and a leather couch which had to go to an upstairs loft, without damage. They also assisted in assembling a challenging Pottery Barn loft bed. This has been the first move in 31 years that none of our furniture was damaged. We were surprised a bit by some extra time taken at lunch as well as having 3 versus the 4 movers we originally booked but considered it fair given the care they took with our belongings. I'm so happy I found Mastiff Moving to help us move from our apartment to our new home. Prior to the move, Lauren organized a video chat during which I showed her everything that had to be moved. Other companies didn't even care to see what had to be moved which gave us very little confidence in the accuracy of their quotes. I have a 120 gallon fully planted glass terrarium and some large patio plants that other movers refused to touch and would not gaurantee safe transport. We went with Mastiff specifically because Cameron was willing to go above and beyond to ensure the terrarium was safely moved. He built a custom wood platform (which he graciously let me keep) and moved it with the rest of the crew without issue. Unrelated to the terrarium, some items were damaged but it ended up being a non-issue because I had paid the inexpensive fee for insurance. Lauren took care of repairing/replacing everything. The only real negative of our experience was that the crew did not move some items such as an area rug, floor lamp, and kitchen items such as alcohol spirit bottles. We were left to move those items on our own which was rather difficult given that we own sedans and not larger vehicles. I appreciated that Cameron notified me when we were approaching the time he had quoted so that I didn't have to pay overtime fees, however I felt that towards the end of the loading period the crew could have been more efficient with time so that everything could have been moved. All in all it was a good experience and I'd happily recommend Mastiff Moving if you have items that other movers are unwilling to move. read more

We hired Mastiff moving twice already and are so happy with them. We had to move a bunch of items from LA to San Diego and my husband hired them to come help unload the U-haul, including large items like a couch, refrigerator, filing cabinet, and a bunch of bags. They were extremely efficient, worked quickly but carefully, and helped get everything set up well. We then called them a few days ago to come help us move a sleeper sofa from our guest bedroom to another room in the house and since the couch was so big, it had to be maneuvered carefully and the process thought through. They figured out the best way to make it work very quickly and were extremely cautious in wrapping the sofa so the bed mechanism doesn't fall out. They were done in 15 minutes-which was incredibly impressive. If you need help moving large items, these guys are awesome. We'll be hiring them a lot in the future. read more
