The Wait and quality of food.. Not worth it…read more Came here around 12pm to get some lunch because I was in the area craving Thai. Their menu looked appetizing and the reviews were decent so I gave it a try. Before I ordered I asked how long the wait would be and she said 15min. So I ran an errand and came back, 15 minutes have past and I'm still waiting. I waited until 25 minutes before I asked about my food. she said it was coming up next, and sorry for the wait. I understood I mean it's lunch time. You can tell they were rushed, there's only two of them and the people waiting in line to order slowly left. She didn't acknowledge people waiting in line, she had he back towards them. 40 minutes have passed now and I'm HANGRY... She kept telling me it was next and that it's backed up. I waited another 10 mins before my food came out... By this time I was over it. I took a bite of the pad see ew and it was so bland... The beef is dry and tasted like they Rushed it.... All that wait for something gross.. Very disappointed !! I mean cmon even when I'm hangry and the food doesn't taste good still.... Sad

You ever order something that you thought was going to taste a certain way, and when you get it,…read moreyou find yourself dabbing other items' sauces on it in an effort to make it either taste better, or taste closer to what you thought it was going to taste like? Well, that's what just happened to me. I wouldn't mind trying other things on their menu, next time. I'm hopeful. But I have to admit, I didn't love the bbq pork noodle I ordered. It came with a peanut/vinegary/liquidy sauce. The noodles tasted like nothing, and the bbq pork was good. But I guess you're supposed to pour the sauce over the whole dish, else the noodles would just be dry and flavorless. Kind of like you do on Vietnamese vermicelli dishes.I've never had Thai food that way, but I'm open-minded. The prices were a little on the high side for a food truck. I mean, why are food trucks generally expensive for fast food? It kind of contradicts the whole concept behind the "roach coach". Dontcha think? These prices were like sit-down restaurant prices for the pretty good Thai food places around town. So, not sure how the whole business model of having high prices works out for these food truckers. I also ordered the fried tofu with the sweet chili sauce. You can't go wrong on fried tofu, so nothing to write about besides it's good :). Service? They could definitely pick up some storefront personality and speed. But overall, they seemed nice.

It's a lovely mom and pop place with an al fresco patio....I enjoyed the ambiance 5/5 with a lot to captivate your eye....with a revolutionary but festive vibe. I did takeout however. Food was ready when I arrived, I was greeted warmly and appreciatively. 5/5 as for the food, overall, was homey and solid but not as delicious as the Catering service I experienced the day before at an East L.A. event. The asada burrito was well built but the meat preparation was ground and had consistency like ground beef chili, so this made me think it was a mistake in our order tho it's possible this was the asada. The chicken enchiladas were pretty and the chicken was shredded nicely. . I liked the half half presentation but it was dry and the tortillas were mealy. Needed queso inside maybe?? Also I loved therice and beans, but the portion of beans seemed like a 3rd of an ice cream scoop and didn't fill the takeout container. 2/5 I actually loved the beans from their Catering service and the generous portion the server ladled onto my plate. My restaurant serving seemed kinda skimpy in comparison. Granted it took 12 minutes to get my takeout home, but the overall experience of what I ordered was a bit disappointing though not fatal. I'd love to try their other items dining in....their caldo from the Catering was so amazing ( I believe it was beef en jugo soup.... and so were the sort tacos....in which tge asada was clearly steak not ground beef. Catering was 5/5. Restaurant takeout 3/5. The three flavors of agua Fresca during the catering was amazing pineapple mango, watermelon, and a cucumber drink. At the restaurant, they had a mango drink 5/5 and an orange/cucumber 2/5 (something black was on the bottom of the orange drink, ugh). This is a place I'll give the benefit of the doubt. That's how good their catering service, that inspired me to seek out the restaurant.

As mentioned by other Yelper(s), this taco trunk can be found parked in front of the LAC USC Medical Center building. In fact, I remember seeing more than 1 trucks available, but this white Buenos Tacos (easy to remember) truck is the only one that opens late and on the weekend. But please don't quote me on this. They offer tacos, quesadias, burritos, and tortas, but I am only interested in tacos usually. Regular tacos cost $1.25 each, while tacos de lengua cost $1.50 each. I recommend opting for regular ones, as you can get 4 for $5, no change, no mess. I am not even sure why lengua costs more, or if lengua actually tastes better. Shrug. I got cabeza and pastor to go. The cook was very speedy in cooking, and packed everything in foil for me to keep them warm. Limes was cut up and put in a separate bag for convenience. Both tasted very good! Now, if you cannot handle spicy, you may wanna let him know ahead of time, because after eating all 4, my eyes and nose were runny, and my oral cavity in general was burning. It's a delicious kinda burn, but I could do without it. I also enjoyed the toppings such as cilantro, onion, etc. Get everything on it. I didn't regret it at all for doing so! Specifically, cabeza was visibly more fatty but I liked it that way--it was super yummy. Pastor in comparison was drier, but still very well marinated. They tasted good enough, and were cheap enough, for me to come back and try for more. I'll update you guys if I ever buy their other options: azada, chorizo, pollo, and buche. (Btw, all spelling is per menu on the truck. Some look kinda funky, but I don't speak Spanish, so what do I know.)
