I found David via a quick google search and scheduled an appointment for 3/7/2020 to discuss our tax situation. My husband and I recently started investing and needed guidance on how to report our trading profit/losses on our taxes. David is a very welcoming individual and he was knowledgeable about reporting investment income. He prepared out taxes that same day and shared a lot of information that we did not know about investing, W4 allocations and LLC set up. David will be my go to CPA going forward. I already recommended him to a friend who has a complex tax situations.

Not happy about the service…read more First off, I provided a guest parking permit for the crew to park outside, and the team parks their vehicle in our garage, and in one of my neighbors parking spots. Happy I was going to get some food and noticed the license plate number when I walked by. When I advised him to move, he said, uh, right now? Yes right now. Hello. That's someone's designated spot and you're in it. Then, as I'm doing a walk through when they advised they were done, my bed wasn't made, the bathroom floor mats and shower curtains were still in exactly the same place I left them (I washed in the morning), there was debris from my cats litter still everywhere... at this point, I swear my blood pressure was rising because it was a half ass job. He made my bed in that moment and I couldn't believe how ugly and ghetto he made it look. Then, they have the audacity to advise it was a $160 flat rate over yelp messages, but when he asked for payment, they advised it was actually going to be $190 for an initial cleaning and afterwards it's $150. WHAAAAAAT?! Do not use them. I'm shocked right now. I swear, I had a wonderful day, and now, I'm in a nasty mood. Update 9/1/2026: I was trying to clean my cabinets with my Bona pet cleaners and noticed they were all stolen from my cabinet. I'm shocked. I reached out to the team and advised I would be filing a police report. 2nd update 9/1/2026: Text received "we found the bottle in our cleaning supplies. My helper accidentally packed it with our products while we were gathering everything after the cleaning. It was an honest mistake and was not intentionally taken. We apologize for the mix-up. We will return it to you today. Please let us know where you would like us to leave it." I do not believe them for a second... Hire at your own risk.

Robin is highly responsive and provides solution-oriented, efficient, thorough, and effective…read moreservices. I hired him to serve a complaint on a sophisticated defendant adept at avoiding service of process and who a previously hired process server and the Cook County sheriff were unable to locate and effecutate service upon. After months and several unsuccessful attempts, I found Robin. When I described the situation to him on our first phone call, he immediately had several ideas on how to effectuate service. Within days of hiring Robin, he personally served the defendant. I have been practicing law, specializing in litigation, for 10 years, and I have never met a better process server. He is the consummate professional. I only wish I lived in Illinois so I could utilize Robin's services more often!

Especially when comparing with other process servers, Robin's communication and dedication were spectacular. Great guy, and even better work!

Christina Scelsa is a northwest side attorney specializing in bankruptcy and personal injury cases…read more She also has a nursing degree. She just completed my Ch. 7 bankruptcy case last month and I feel so relieved and free! Here are the reasons you should hire Chris: 1) She is detail oriented. Look up the stats; most bankruptcy cases that are prolonged or thrown out are due to poorly done paperwork. Chris has a great work ethic and takes pride in her job. 2) She has a small practice. At the time when she was fixing my paperwork, she had only 3 other bankruptcy clients. My paperwork was stellar, my 341 hearing took ten minutes, the calls ceased and I feel relieved and confident that I am not going back to court. 3) So pleasant and amicable. In fact, in the midst of a dead silent lobby at the Dirksen building awaiting 341 hearing, the woman in front of me turned around and evnviously said "Gosh your lawyer sounds so nice." Chris is approachable, honest, straightforward, and understanding. I interviewed several lawyers in the area and found something with each of them that just did not sit right with me. Chris answers her phone "Chris speaking?" and ALWAYS addresses all your questions with respect and compassion. In fact, we talked about dogs, home improvement, and college; she is just good people. 4) Timelines and efficiency. Chris has been doing this work for 20 some years. She is realistic with expectations and stringent with organization. She tells you exactly what you need to do and when to do it by. 5) Flexible. Chris works with her people (and she calls us that, not clients, but her people) to find an affordable fee and set up a payment schedule. Don't waste your time and money with legal helpers or geraci when her fee is negligibly higher. She is always available via phone, I once had to call her at 2am and she answered the call. In short, Christina Scelsa gave my case her utmost attention, treated me with respect, and did exactly what an attorney is hired to do: she introduced me to the protocol and simplified the legal process using her expertise. I would definitely seek her consultation in future legal matters. A+

The accountants are all very nice and my parents have worked with all of the accountants there. When I came today, I worked with Pasquale, who was so personable and knowledgeable. Normally I do taxes myself, but this was the first time I paid to get them done and I'm not disappointed that I came here. He did them really fast (especially because I had multiple W-2s and a student loan paper), and he informed me why so many people are getting lower tax returns this year (because the nation is taking less taxes out throughout the year and giving you more in your paycheck). He gave me copies of my tax return and told me how much I will get back before I signed anything. He was so nice because he laughed and said, "If you're happy, then I'm happy!" I was very happy with my return. You can pay for the services here by card or check; however, there is a $5 extra fee for using a card. The office itself is very clean and organized, and there is parking on the street. I didn't have to wait at all because literally no one was getting their taxes done here when I came, so that was nice, but the area where they do the taxes and talk to you is upstairs while the waiting room is downstairs, so you feel some kind of privacy here.

I highly recommend Jim and the firm. M&R Ferber offers A-Z tax filing capabilities for individuals, estates, and trusts. Their web site states they provide business and payroll offerings but this review is limited to my personal tax returns. Jim has a great eye for detail and knows tax law. He's not afraid to say "No!" yet he will also recommend approaches that may suit you, ie accelerate deductions, delay revenues, itemize or take the standard deduction, or change with-holdings. He also prepares "what-if" scenarios. I have a complicated return (variable and non-W2 income, out-of-state etc.) yet his fees are fair & reasonable and completion times FAST! He takes the time to understand you, poses thoughtful questions, and explains process and reasoning. The office provides copies of all your returns for your personal record keeping. M&R Ferber provides coffee and cookies. The offices are clean, comfortable, and filled with tax law and accounting books. The shred bin is visible so there is no doubt they properly dispose of un-needed documents. The parking is free and office easy to find. Suggested improvements: please provide wi-fi while waiting or if we need to access a needed document on-line. Thanks Jim and M&R Ferber, see you next year! Patrick Shaughnessy Chicago, IL

Nancy is amazing and I would recommend her to anyone in need of some serious organizing/downsizing!…read moreFrom our very first phone call I was extremely impressed. My husband and I hired Nancy to assist my mother in organizing (years worth of clutter) and downsizing before a long distance move. We live in Florida and could only do so much on our trips back and forth and Nancy was the glue that held things together in what was a very overwhelming situation for my mother. Nancy worked closely with our whole family and went above and beyond what we expected. She is kind, patient, positive, respectful, and just an all around pleasure to work with. She was excellent with my mother, who is older and suffers from cognitive loss and she really rolled her sleeves up and got the work done.... helping my mom sort through all her possessions, connecting us to a paper shredding company for destroying years worth of unnecessary paper, helping get appraisals for valuable items before the move, organizing for furniture to be taken by an auction house, making many trips to haul donations to the Salvation Army, shipping items to me in Florida, helping with the movers on moving day... the list goes on. Her help was worth every penny and without her things would not have gone nearly as smoothly. Nancy gave us something I didn't expect during this difficult transition and that was peace of mind. We are extremely grateful, thank you Nancy!!!
