The owner of this insulation business has been doing business for 10 plus years. He was cordial and polite with his responses. Well let me tell you, I am glad I used fast insulation. Him and his team came in early today which was Saturday morning and knocked out the project in 4.5 hours. There workmanship was absolutely awesome and professional. I had them buy the insulation and products to do the job as this is there business and they know what to get and order based on the square footage. They got to my house and from beginning to end they never stopped working. I made them breakfast and brought it to them as they never stopped working and figured they deserved some good energy food to continue the good work ! There price was WAY better then any of the other companies. They took the job and showed up on time and completed the work. My attic was warm and cozy within hours of them leaving. Insulation is the way to go if you don't have it . I am sure my fuel bill will go right down now and my heat will stay in my house and not out . I research and price out anything I have to do to my house. This company truly will do a fantastic job ! I give them 5 stars 100 percent ! Again, all the other companies prices where way higher then any of the others. The bottom line is there work is neat and they come and do a professional job. My wife was extremely happy with the work ! I myself could not be happier ! I took before shots and after shot pictures to show the great work that this company did !

Alborz Corp - Mini split ductless tuneup and testing the mini pump

    East Boston

BEWARE of Albortz: **Sabotaged my HVAC to Create Repeat Business**…read more If you're in the market for HVAC services, I strongly urge you to steer clear here. Over the course of a couple of years, I've encountered multiple incidents that seem to point to deliberate sabotage of my heating and cooling system. I also have PROOF in my pictures. I'm somewhat handy, and if I was not, I would have been taken advantage of even more. Here's my story: **Incident 1:** It all started when my AC unit broke down during a heatwave. I had a newborn at home, so I needed help fast. Despite being on the pricier side ($500 for the visit), they were the only ones available quickly. The technician "fixed" the issue and tried hard to sell me a brand-new unit--despite the fact that my current one was still functioning. I brushed it off as a sales tactic. However, when the weather turned cold, I realized my **heat wasn't working**. I'm a bit handy, so I took a panel off to inspect the unit, and what do I find? The **gas line had been turned off at the panel**! It's important to note that the heater worked just fine before this service, so the only possible culprit was the technician. Had I not caught this myself, I would have likely been convinced that the entire system needed replacing--costing me even more money. **Incident 2:** Later, I did end up getting a new HVAC system (from a different company). However, my diverters (which control airflow) stopped working, blowing a fuse. Once again, no one else was available, so I had to call Alborz again. I was skeptical after last time, but thought maybe it was possibly an accident... This time, I was on high alert and watched him closely. He fiddled around and had me go check the thermostat downstairs while he "worked on the unit." Reluctantly, I complied. Sure enough, when summer arrived, **the AC stopped working again**. **Proof of Sabotage:** After some investigation, I discovered the technician **deliberately disconnected a wire** in my unit, which is why the AC wasn't working. I have photographic proof showing the disconnected wire and the work area, demonstrating this malicious action. --- **Final Warning:** It's clear to me this company has a pattern of **sabotaging equipment to generate more business**. These aren't simple mistakes; they're calculated actions designed to mislead homeowners into believing their systems need more work or replacement than is necessary. If you're considering hiring them, think twice--you may end up paying more than you bargained for, both in money and frustration.

They were patient and listened to all my concerns as I had many things that needed to be done in my house. They were prompt in returning with quotes for the work. They were a tad higher in price than some others, but I enjoyed working with them as they are fast to respond and explained everything to me in detail and provided detailed itemized quotes. My intuition paid off and they delivered very high quality work. I'm looking to have more work done soon and am very likely to book their services a second time. The one small downside was that I recalled they don't do some types of work that I have needed done, so have to find others to bridge the gaps. The work they did for me last year was replacing a bunch of shutoff valves for indoor and outdoor fixtures including spigots and my shower fixtures.

Although the situation was not really an emergency (a failed heating system would be more of a concern considering the cold spell we were experiencing), Stacey at Big Blue, treated it that way, and made this job a priority. She was empathetic to my needs, and did her best to accommodate me. Randy came by the next day, removed the old heater and installed a new one. He was knowledgeable, polite, and respectful of me and my wife, and our property. He answered all our questions, and explained things to me in detail. Also, the cost to replace the hot water heater was quite reasonable. I would not hesitate to hire Big Blue Plumbing and Heating for future jobs. Thank you!

Some here have gone into detail as to how you can screw up a basic insulation job, so I won't repeat it. The number of screw ups and amateur work quality was more than I've ever seen in 30 years of home ownership and contractors work. The highlight: they core drilled through structural 2x4s inside the wall, under window framing. Who the F does that?! Everything from communications, to quality of work, to damages, to explanations, to billing / paperwork, slop/mess/clean up, it goes on. Ghosting communications to the office and field lead. Yes, they came back to fill in the various areas where they put NO insulation at all in several wall cavities...but, really, how do you just miss that unless you've been on the job for about a week. The only reason I got them to do that was I got a temperature gun that showed several places where it was a cold wall... They came with a IR image gun and verified various empty areas. What kind of training and qualification do they go through? and oh yea, one of the crew wanted to sit in my hallway for long periods of time, because his feet were very cold and he had nothing to do. When he was 'working' he was on his phone talking and texting non stop. I am not making this up. On each of two crews, there was one person of the three that was competent and able to communicate reasonably well, and two who were not. They meant well, but just not up to the task.
