This has been my fav pizza place for years. Went in last night (because they refuse to be on ordering apps and I'm 1 street out of their delivery zone). The pizza has lost its charm. It was very tasteless. The water I got was truly disgusting and tasted like garbage. It clearly came out of an old faucet. Used to love it . Ordered a TINY SALAD that was $10 - we though for sure it would family sized as its only iceberg lettuce cheese and olives. Huge rip off and lettuce was very wilted and brown. asked for a pizza with half cheese only and half olives/bananas peppers and they gave me a pizza with olives on one half and that half had no cheese and the other half had cheese and banana peppers. asked for a new delivery and they were confused i wanted it delivered again so asked for a refund which they said can take a week to be refunded. way too many other pizza places out there to have issues like this. don't eat here. read more

Not worth all the hype. I went here before and didn't really enjoy it. When I got home and finished the pizza it tasted way better. I had it to go the next day because I enjoyed it so much and again I gave it time to cool off and at it.. It was only average. Here we are a few months later I decided to order delivery and even after waiting a while the pizza was still horrible. It was so bland and the sauce was weird. There was so much cheese on it but again it didn't taste like anything. I'm so disappointed and upset that I wasted $15 on this. Their sauce is what makes the pizza different & really tasty. It has a nice subtle sweet n tangy flavor. Also they use just the right amount of italian spices. So crispy and delicious is the golden brown crust and pizza bottom that it will melt in your mouth a little bit. Not soggy - never soggy - but so good! We used to go to the master pizza years ago when it was Mentor when I was in high school. I tried this restaurant for the 1st time tonight I was blown away by the food how great it was from the piping hot pizza to the hot subs fresh from the oven we will definitely be going back this is not a drive by pizza place. From the outside Master Pizza looks like a little hole in the wall, but go inside and it's a very laid back italian joint. Family friendly, neighborhood feel. They have great specials everyday and their pizza has some of the best flavor around. Definitely get yourself a dinner salad too, they don't skimp on toppings, especially cheese! We come here all the time and really love getting there meatball subs. Not sure what's going on lately though. We ordered the same as always and brought it home only to find they are now skimping on their sandwiches. Meatball sub had 3 meatballs cut in half for a twelve inch sub. 3 halves on each side, really?? I was wondering why the were laying on their side and looked really flat. It was mostly bread. I love this place! I'm sad that this one is the only one that has this menu, because it's by far the best. Their broccoli and cheddar pizza and mashed potato pizzas are both AMAZING. And their salad dressing is slightly different then the other locations also. This one is less sweet and more vinegary. Super yum. My mom and I came to painesville to check out the lake for a couple days and this was our favorite meal! Pizza was full of flavor and had plenty of toppings. Try the veggie with broccoli and the garlic bites were great even cold the next day! If you get a side salad you might consider asking for light cheese, ours came with about 12 oz of cheese on top! I grew up in Lake County. We've lived in Dayton since 1973 and have travelled extensively. No pizzeria compares! (Be advised it stands apart and is not part of the other Master Pizzas in the area.) The pizza was terrible. I ordered two pizzas they were floating in sauce and not cooked through. When I called to tell them they said to bring back half of the pizza and they would credit my order. I've been going there for 20 years, sadly I won't be back. read more

There was only one waitress working to what seemed to be an out of the ordinary still busy crowd at 7pm. We were sat immediately. Took probably about 5 minutes for the waitress to come take a drink order but again, busy-1waitress. Was probably made more irritating by the fact that she took other drink orders at tables that arrived after us. But, oh well. 45 minutes after placing our order we notice that the same table who was served drinks before us, who ordered after us received their food. Then another table who were sat a good 20 minutes after us was served. All of us received pizza. When I questioned the waitress her response was extremely rude to the point that the people in the booth next to us were like "wow, could she be even more rude?" I would've been willing to turn a blind eye to all of this, and have never left a review for anything on here, because I felt for her for how busy it was, as I also served tables in college. Pizza is good, may order take out again, but the service, this waitress in particular really needs to work on her people skills and possibly find a new profession. read more

I grew up in Lake County and whenever I'm back in town, the Master Pizza in Painesville is always a required stop. The crust and sauce are tops. I'm still a big kid and enjoy peeking at the pizzas baking in the ferris-wheel-style oven. The ingredients are fresh, including the mushrooms. They deliver and those delivery people work non stop back and forth delivering to all of their customers who also concur that it's the best pizza in town. read more
