I think the donut place is now called Cloud Donuts. I visited on Jan 3rd and they had signage for new business hours. A family member has heard great things so we wanted to try the new donuts. The selection was not A LOT but had a great variation. The menu looked like they also sold boba! I would love to try the next time I'm in town. The donut place has ample seating and the staff were very nice. We ordered a box of six donuts. Everyone's favorite was the apple fritters. They had chunks of apples in the donuts. Not a lot thought but a good amount. read more

I don't get out for a donut too often, but when I do this is it! Always so soft and flavorful! The staff is always nice and accommodating. They will go in the back and make you whatever you want if they run out. They do have a great selection of donuts as well. read more

Bomb donuts This is the kind of non-hype place that you want and they don't rinse you

I just found the best Apple Fritter in the state!!! I'm an Apple Fritter purist and this is the best I had....and only $1.89!!!! Master Homemade doughnuts are so old school and slightly better than Allie's in my opinion. The Cinnamon Roll ($1.89) was also perfection and their Old Fashioned was fire!! Can't find cheaper prices than this place. Soooo glad I found this place. Lot less known compared to other doughnuts shops like Knead, PVD and Allies so there's never a line. read more

They are always so friendly and I LOVE the apple fritter! Also the drive thru is a great perk when you have crazy toddlers

Speechless I just picked up my first dozen donuts from this place. I've been craving donuts and don't feel like waiting in line for Allies. I'm not a huge fan of those heavy cake donuts so while I appreciate the craftsmanship of a donut from Knead or PVD, I don't find those donuts craveable I was pleasantly surprised at the creative selection offered. There were plenty of cake donuts for those who like that sort of thing, along with a few crullers and bear claws. I went straight for the case with the raised donuts. There were options like cinnamon crunch, maple bacon and chocolate coconut. I've since tried all 3. I'm about to go into a sugar coma because I can't stop eating these donuts. The maple bacon is a confirmed favorite here but I have loved them all. I think they're better than Allies, which pains me to say because I don't want to dis an institution. Now I just need to find out if they make donut cake... Highly recommend. Let's keep this place in business! read more

Their jelly filled, sprinkles, coconut and bear claws are also delicious when available. Ive tasted nothing I didn't like here and usually will select what's available to try. Great selection of custom donuts. Friendly employees and great service. Highly recommend

AMAZING! I'm from out of town and wanted to get some breakfast and donuts. I saw the menu with breakfast sandwiches and thought they were probably microwaved ones. NOPE! Homemade, everything fresh. Amazing! The donuts were better than Krispy Kreme. Nice family owned place. I will be coming back! read more

What a great donut shop!!!! Friendly, smiling, accommodating service, always. Yummy homemade donuts you don't find anywhere, including delicious apple fitters. The coffee is rich and delicious as well. I highly recommend making this a regular stop for donuts abs coffee!!! read more

Umm, donuts! Or doughnuts? Whatever, this new branch of the West Warwick original is just as good and will give Allie's a run for its money. The NK branch needs a bit of a refurbishment with the landscaping and parking area (and the former drive-thru is not operational) but it's nice to see a high quality donut shop back in the former Tim Horton's location (and former Mediterranean restaurant). Master also offers good coffee, iced coffees, and boba teas as a bonus. But it's all about the donuts, right? They are, simply, good. We had a half-dozen assortment of their jelly, glazed, cream puff, boston cream, cinnamon, and a chocolate strawberry jelly. Now I won't say I ate all of them, but I certainly had a taste of each (I wheedled a bite from the kids - no, not ashamed at all!). All good, especially liked the jellies used. Okay, time to hit the gym and see the dentist! read more

The location seems cursed. Tim Horton's, Bravo Pizza, and a Medierian place have all failed here. Hopefully this sticks, as Allie's has some serious competition. Good donuts, that are light and don't sit in your stomach like Dunkin. Not quite as good as Allie's, but you won't have to wait in line for an hour on weekends like Allies, so there's that. read more

If you are hesitant let me reassure you that you need to swing into Master Homemade Donuts on Post Road in North Kingstown and select a delicious dozen of these masterfully made donuts. Yes, we understand that Dunkin is convenient and that there are other local choices but one taste of these soft, airy and delicious donuts will help you understand why MHD is on their way to becoming a main player in the donut game. They have a good selection of donuts from old fashioned cake to raised & glazed. The frostings and sprinkles are colorful and tasty. The customer service is excellent, they are patient (especially with us that take donut selection seriously) and their happiness adds to the experience. The experience is well worth the trip. read more

I'm not from Rhode Island so I don't know if this is a cult classic type donut spot but I was not impressed. When I saw the reviews, I thought "I have to go!" (Well, of course I have to go, they're DONUTS). I hate to say it, but I've been so spoiled with PVDonuts that nothing else has yet to compare (and I've tried my fair share of donuts joints). They weren't BAD, but I would not write home about them. The strawberry was a thin translucent liquid coating over a plain donut. I'm looking for creamy and decadent and it just didn't hit the mark. The prices were awesome for being homemade, I'll give them that for sure. Maybe I'll come back and try again but for right now, Master's isn't close to my top three donut spots. read more

Killer Donuts!!! Everything is top tier. We bought an assortment of donuts based upon each family member's favorite donut. So everyone should have been happy, right? That didn't work because, instantly, every single donut became everyone's favorite donut. Thank you for making donuts that are sooo good that they caused discord in my otherwise peaceful and loving family. read more

I have loved master donuts since they moved in to the west warwick location and I was SO excited when I found out about their North Kingstown location opening up. They have coffee, smoothies, boba, breakfast sandwiches and donuts. Their service, no matter who is working- is always upbeat, friendly and patient. The spot is nice and open with comfy chairs and tables scattered around the spacious room. The donuts are fluffy, sweet and messy. Try their Thai tea smoothies! read more

Absolutely fantastic service from everyone on staff and delicious donuts that blew us away! We are from out of town and have access to this one particular donut shop that is incredible, and we were shocked to find that Master not only lives up to its name, but is easily as good as this other place! There's a good chance they will come back to the area just so we can get these donuts again, and we're willing to bet that you'll make the same call if you check this place out! Damn fine establishment. read more

This is definitely one of those "save this great place" Yelp reviews I write from time to time, because when I showed up during prime donut time on a Sunday morning, Master was empty. (I bet the line at Allie's was out the door.) I can't believe I'm asking for more of a wait, but ... well, I'm asking for more of a wait, because Master is legit and I'm going to need it to stick around, please. This is their second location, so I know these people can run a business. Here in New England, and in Rhody in particular, we know our donuts, but California also has a donut obsession, and Master is in the style of the West Coast's beloved donut institutions. Serving a smaller and airier product, Cali donut shops are often owned by Cambodian families -- and sure enough, so is this place, operated by a Cambodian immigrant who made his way here via SoCal. That gives it a veneer of authenticity, but the donuts speak for themselves. Do you really want to wait outside at Allie's in January? Come here instead and pick up some excellent donuts with a surprising cultural experience on the side. read more

The owner is a very sweet woman. My mother before she passed away would come here almost every day and she would sit with my mother while she had her donut and coffee in between customers. My mother would rave about her coffee and freshly baked donuts. I ordered a donut cake over the weekend and wow puts other donut shops to shame. It's a comfortable little place with such a nice atmosphere. If you're looking for a dozen or half dozen or just a donut and coffee. Skip Dunkin they can't hold a candle to this place. I'll try to take a picture next time it was too good and I forgot to take pictures. read more

Skip it, save your money and go elsewhere. I felt as though the donuts were flavorless despite their appearance and it would be helpful if the trays of donuts were labeled. The one I inquired about wasn't a donut at all but a sausage and egg and cheese inside what looked like a dough-nut casing (shouldn't that be refrigerated?). I'm not sure why they offer 12 different flavored coffee or why the coffee machines are so far from the counter, another service flaw. Btw, if you like Equal, they don't carry it so bring your own or better yet, skip this place and go elsewhere! read more

Not greasy and heavy like the other choices in town! Puts me in mind of the crispy deliciousness of Payne's Donuts in Block Island. Perfect crunch outside. Soft inside. Awesome pillow-like melt-in-your-mouth dreamy fresh donuts just like it used to be! Very West-Coast, and very difficult to stay away from!

OH MY Yummy!! Fantastic donuts! I personally think better than Allie's because Allie's taste like old grease! These are very light and airy and don't have a nasty greasy aftertaste! The jelly is filled until it almost bursts out of the donut! If you are a lemon person try the lemon filled! DEVINE! Where a bib as the glaze comes off with every bite! Definitely don't eat and drive with these delicious donuts! Will definitely be going again! read more

Master Homemade Donuts - A delicious jelly donut! YUM!!! - Donuts Near Me - North Kingstown, Rhode Island

We had a hankering for donuts and wanted to try allies Bc everyone says it's amazing. When we got to allies there were protests out front so we came here. When we walked in at 10:45 am, they literally had 12 donuts left, all jelly and Boston creme. Apparently, someone had come in earlier that morning and ordered 20 dozen. So, to make a long story short: I had the jelly and it was honestly the best jelly donut I have ever had. read more
