I get it if some companies are resistant to change for sake of profits, but the styrofoam cups gotta go! Let's save the oceans and landfills with biodegradable cups. And in a dream, far far in the future, maybe Sip n Dip will actually install an electronic speaker for ordering in their drive thru instead of needing to shout the order to someone down the line of cars over a 30 feet distance. I'll never quite understand the local tendency to grab Sip n Dip. Years ago it was nothing special and felt the same way today. We came here on a busy weekend afternoon, thirsty as heck, for a quick drink. My gf ordered a flavored iced coffee and I wanted an iced tea. The tea came out extremely strong to the point where it was acidic and bitter. It seemed like the tea bags must had steeped in the dispenser all day and this was the end of that batch. The iced coffee was essentially a giant cup full of ice and we got the wrong flavor. We also got a muffin that seemed loaded with oils (definitely not butter) yet was super dry and crumbly. Ended up getting heartburn, yuck. On top of it, the 2 staff running things that day were somehow distracted and our order sat before us in the drive up window for a few minutes until someone finally came over and let us pay and go. All that, for two undrinkable drinks and a heartburn muffin. Totally underwhelming experience. read more

Always enjoy stopping at a new to me coffee place. This one had excellent parking and although the line was long it moved pretty fast. They have a huge selection of doughnuts, bagels and some sort of Portuguese croissant sandwich in several varieties. I went with the hazelnut cold brew. Fantastic. You could really taste the flavor and it had a smooth taste. I would definitely order that again. I also went with one of those Portuguese sandwiches in a croissant that was pre-filled with scrambled egg, cheese and sausage which they warmed up. Just yuck. I took one bite and nearly gagged as the combination of the cheese and egg was terrible. The sausage also had an unpleasant taste. I have no idea if that's what the sandwich normally tastes like as I'd never had it before but it was definitely not for me (luckily, I have a far less picky dining partner to help out or it would have been a waste). read more

The building had more pink in the photo than It did in real life. When I got there I had to double take between the drive thru and the front door. A brisk shuffle to the counter, led me to my workstation. a quick side eye smirk to the guy. The only guy- sitting directly to the side. Like last time and the next after this. The ordering process distracted me from the soda machine. Needless to say, I was impressed. The soda machine has a picture of itself taped to it's side completely disregarding it's own franchise's advert. Intending on selling me it's 130 year old recipe without it's hidden secret and curvy signature. A half dozen boxed in a brand I usually find somewhere else. Regardless, I recall my time with them as surprising. Some of the donuts were different than the others. Some were an airy delight and some were a loaf of brick But I still ate each one because each one left me guessing. Would the next donut be like the last? Would it be a new experience? This is a nice solidly average Sip-N-Dip. The store is clean and well kept. I always receive friendly courteous service here. Their doughnuts are average and nothing special. Their coffee is a nice change from Dunkin'. It's about as good as Dunkin' it's just different. They have plenty of seating which is nice as well. What I love about Sip-n-dip is the ability to order some delicious Portugese style fast food! Their sandwiches are great!! read more

I love this place. They are consistent and have never messed up my coffee! The prices are reasonable.. Try the Cachoila on a Portuguese roll. The breakfast sandwiches are wonderful bc their English muffins are large and filling. I'd rather support a locally-owed business as apposed to their competitors which we have three of. read more

Sip N' Dip has seriously the most fabulous iced coffee in New England. Their secret is that they always shake and blend everything well. It's really what makes the coffee awesome. My absolutely favorite is the crazy chocolate banana iced coffee. It's 1/2 hot (or rather, iced) cocoa, 1/2 coffee, and a shot of banana flavor. Several times I've driven over a 1/2 hour to get it. It's really that good. Just make sure you don't overdo the sugar, because there's already plenty in the hot cocoa mix. Another awesome beverage is their "frozen hot chocolate." I know dunkin' tried to pull off a similar drink last summer, but it didn't even come close to the awesomeness of Sip N' Dip's. It's just sweet enough, and it REALLY tastes JUST like hot cocoa... except frozen. As for food, their glazed sticks are where it's at. Pretty much any of the baked goods are excellent. The sandwiches are fairly average tasting, but it definitely has that "home made" feel to it. I think what makes this place awesome is that the people who work here LOVE coffee. They constantly create new flavors, and have a "flavor of the month" based on their findings. If you love New England iced coffee and you haven't tried this place... you haven't LIVED. read more

I was in the east Bay Area and in my travels came across this Sip n'Dip so I stopped and went through the drive thru. The last time I had a coffee from this chain was back in high school and I remember it being pretty good! The drive they was different because they had the menu board with a note saying to pull forward after you have decided what you'd like. I arrived at the window and taped up are a few lists of many different coffee flavors as well as latte flavors which were not at the previous board. Being a week before Christmas, I felt festive and ordered the gingerbread iced latte but to my disappointment was told they did not have that flavor but had all of the rest. I asked for a sugar and spice iced latte and was told they didn't have that either. Bummer! I ended up getting a pumpkin iced latte, I know so October of me, but at this point I just wanted a coffee. A few minutes later I was handed my latte and was on my way. One sip was all I had because it was terrible! My cup was filled with lightly flavored coffee milk with a hint of spice and ice cubes. I considered turning around and going back but I really had no desire since it was such a production to get this in the first place. The price was extremely reasonable if they actually served me an iced latte. My 3 star review is mostly for the staffs friendliness and nostalgia of the shop. I love that they use styrofoam cups for their iced beverages. Years back I remember this place being great! This could have been a one off day for them however it was an extremely disappointing visit for me as I passed through the area. read more

The first Sip n Dip I've ever been to, this location is my usual stop during my trips over to RWU during the semester. Still my favourite out of the four 'Dips I've been to, the girls here are super sweet and definitely know how to serve up awesome iced coffee. I love that their blend is always just a smidgen stronger and darker than their other locations. I've recently become obsessed with their Pistachio iced but prior to that, their Candy Crunch is pretty amazing too. As for their donuts? 100% obsessed. They're the closest in texture and style to Allie's than anywhere else I've tried so far (other than Donut Xpress in Woonsocket). Grease soaked bags and crispy brown edges galore! I have wanted to go here for a while because I love the name! I was a bit disappointed. The staff weren't very friendly, even though we were the only ones in there. They were helpful in providing me with a free cup of ice water. The coffee is your average watered-down stuff (quite similar to DD), which I can only tolerate when it's loaded with cream and sugar, and french vanilla flavoring. The donut selection was underwhelming - everything seemed to be out and it was only 12 noon on a Saturday. Ordered an old-fashioned donut and a golden cruller. Both were quite dry, and didn't taste the freshest. Definitely not the crullers I remember getting at a bakery in Jersey with my folks. I love supporting an independent business, but for high-quality donuts, I'll probably stick to DD, after I try SND one more time. read more

Ok, so normally I shy away from the chains, especially since I've been to one of these and wasn't the biggest fan. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this store. The customer service was attentive and friendly. I tried the blueberry cake donut, which came highly recommended by a friend. I don't even like blueberries. How was this thing so good?? Each location is so different. This is my favorite location. Note: the pumpkin coffee is sooooo good. The best I've had in RI( and I've had a ton!). I usually get it hot but iced is good too. A lot of friends who drink their coffee with milk instead of cream don't love their iced coffee, but I drink with cream and sugar and think it's delicious. They have tons of food options. The wheat bagel is super delicious. They have sandwiches and so much more. They're always adding something new! If you're local you can snag awesome coupons for free donuts in your mail. Do it. I want to love this place. They have sooooo many flavored coffee options and they all sound delicious. The problem is the coffee is a lighter roast and when I get a coffee all I taste in the flavor and not the coffee. I prefer darker roast coffees, so that is on me, rather than SipNDip. The service is always fast, efficient and friendly. Last time I drove through I noticed they now have dark roast coffee, but not flavored. I'll have to give it a try and hopefully some day they get dark roast flavored coffee. read more

I give this place 5 starts. Every time I order it always tastes exactly the same as always. All other types of coffee places I go to never tastes the same every time. This location is super fast and very friendly they make you very comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. read more

They need to change the workflow. In the morning they have two people working the drive through and one on register inside. Instead of having a dedicated person making sandwiches, they have the person running the inside register make all of their own orders. That means that if one person orders a sandwich before you in line- about eight cars will be helped with coffee before you get to order while the person makes everything in the back. read more
