This is hands down the best coffee I've had in the area. Got a maple latte that did not make it far from the shop and I considered turning back around for another one. Solid bagels as well! Cool, hip ambiance and employee owned is always good in my book. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered a lavender latte and build your own bagel online for pickup. Located on a busy side street off the highway but with plenty of free short term parking our front on a weekday morning. They had my order ready to go on time upon arrival which the barista helped me locate. Note for the manager if you see this: please get sturdier togo coffee cups. As I was getting in the car I squeezed the cup every so slightly which caused the lid to come off and erupt about half the coffee all over me and my rental car. I like the paper cups but I have never had one so flimsy used for coffee. The bagel was good and so was the coffee. Nothing exceptional. read more

Very cute and comfy inside. I came to enjoy a coffee and work away from office today~ this place had plenty of food options, but today I went for the coffee for the strength to work through my day with energy ~ I ordered the coffee buzz latter~ i enjoy sweet, but this coffee was too much, even for me. Wish I had extra milk to lesson the cavities I was feeling~ I need to come back and try out the sandwiches since there was so much options and I just wasn't hungry. I will probably skip on coffee. The experience and vibes were good but the coffee just disappointed me. read more

My iced americano and donut was fantastic! The baristas were nice and efficient and one of the most aesthetic interiors with all the plants and art on the walls. The donut I got was for sure in the top 10 of all time. Sad it was the only one left or I would have gone back for another. read more

Went here on a sunday for some coffee and it was pretty busy inside, though the line moved fairly quickly! I got one of their limited time lattes (gingerbread latte), which had nice kick of ginger that wasn't too overpowering! I also got a bagel sandwich with egg and bacon that was pretty solid and filling. read more

Oh White Electric - I will always love you. That being said, I find myself visiting you less & less because your coffee drinks are nearing the craft cocktail price range. I can't bring myself to spend that kind of money on coffee on the regular. You are an expensive habit! Another thing - Your special coffee drinks are really fun & creative, but deadly sweet. I usually ask for your drinks "half sweet" for that reason. During my last visit, I forgot to ask for "half sweet" & you gave me a drink so sweet that I felt real, tangible fear that my teeth might fall out. Lecker, aber zu süß! read more

Great little coffee shop on the west side of Providence. Being that I work around the corner, I'm here several times a week and have always had a great experience. Coffee is always on point and STRONG and the food is great. The caramello (iced) latte is my usual go to and I also really love their Delox sandwich, which is always piled high with lox and cream cheese. The staff is super nice and quick even when it's really busy, which it often is in the a.m. And to top it all off, it is worker owned and run so not only are you supporting an awesome local business you are directly supporting the hard working folks here. This was our first time at White Electric after receiving a recommendation from a friend. This cafe has a really quirky design with a lot of artwork from my childhood (80's/90's). This shop does seem a little congested, so I wouldn't recommend it for working remotely, although you could if you don't get easily distracted. I got the ice matcha latte with a pump of vanilla. The matcha was perfectly sweetened, had an earthy flavor, and was granular. My wife got the iced caramel latte beverage with brown sugar and she said it was amaaaaazing. This spot is definitely worth a try, so go ahead and GET YOU SOME! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT read more

Cute local coffee shop. They always have seasonal drinks and an array of sandwiches (both breakfast and lunch). They have a few baked goods like croissants and cinnamon rolls but the main attraction is the wide selection of speciality coffees. I got a chai which was excellent, and my friends got an iced latte and a lavender iced latte. Both lattes were excellent! The interior is really cute and there's a ton of eclectic art along one wall of art from a Binch Press/ Queer Archive Work (a cooperative print and publishing studio) that you can purchase. The interior is somewhat small, there's about about a dozen tables so it might be difficult to find a table and there's usually a small line, but it's well worth the wait! read more

Cute little shop that seems to be popular with the laptop crowd. Every seat inside seemed to be taken up by people typing away. Luckily there was NO ONE enjoying the beautiful weather while they enjoyed their coffee, so I had a place to sit and enjoy a late breakfast. I ordered one of their specialty drinks, a honey cinnamon latte and an everything bagel with cream cheese. The coffee was really good. The honey wasn't lost and the quality of the coffee was really good. The bagel was just ok. It was huge and the texture was good, but the flavor was all poppyseed and sesame. read more

What a cute little gem! The space overall is pretty small, but there are at least 10 tables where you can sit at. The staff is really sweet and the music is great! Coffee is perfectly made. The food could be better. My bagel egg and cheese was pretty dry. There was more bread than anything. It does come with an aïoli, but I didn't really enjoy that. It kind of taste like a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. It was quite sweet, not the Sriracha flavor I was expecting. food issues aside, this was a great experience. I was able to bring my laptop and get work done with no issues with their Wi-Fi. Parking on the street is pretty easy depending on what time you come. I would suggest coming early if you're hoping to sit inside because it does get super crowded. Definitely a great spot to get some work done if you don't mind the noise and commotion of a busy coffee shop. would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite, some great coffee (try the white lightning), and a nice atmosphere. Access to the Wi-Fi requires a password that you can find at the checkout counter or by asking a staff member. read more

Came across this place while walking back to our hotel visiting for a quick weekend in Providence. They had an extensive drink menu with lots of specialty ones. I decided to try just a reg iced coffee with hazelnut. This was one of the very best I've had! The flavor wasn't strong and didn't taste artificial. While we only tried a bagel, they had a bunch of sandwiches that sounded amazing. Highly recommend this spot for a great coffee, quick bite and a cool and relaxed atmosphere! read more

My matcha was done horribly, you could see the water separating from the matcha, didn't even know that was possible. The service was okay, she understood the problem and fixed it, my problem was it took around 15~ minutes to do one matcha, it was stupid, not even that full and the employees talk so casually while making others orders, and then when they made my new matcha she took 3 minutes, unbelievable read more

Excellent coffee, sandwiches were also good, but don't come here if you have anywhere to be. It's definitely a laid back place. Friendly, delicious, but too slow for grabbing something on your lunch break or whatever. This is not really a complaint! Everything was great and we'll definitely be back, when we have more time! This place is an experience not a coffee shop! The vibe is so mellow no matter the size of the line. the service is friendly and helpful. I got the lavender latte hot always my go to. Also tried the bun bun not bad. I also got the veggie sandwich on an everything bagel amazing it was worth the wait. I will be there soon to try more of the delicious looking pastries and sandwiches options. Drop in and check it out! read more

Service was really great even though it was super busy. My salad cost $14 but it was huge and filling! All the veggies were fresh , crisp and had a great taste. This is probably the best iced hazelnut coffee I've ever had. This wasn't the kind where flavored syrup was added, this was the kind where hazelnut was part of the roast, and it was sooooo flavorable. Not sweet, and excellent just plain old black. I also loved the interior, which had a divey but homey vibe, and has old theater seats as some of their seating, which was a unique touch. read more

New fav coffee shop, I'm just sad it's 1,000 away from where I actually live. It's a true locals shop. I went on a Saturday morning and the line was 10 people deep the whole time I was there. People sat at the tables and worked or studied. Other read books or the newspaper and relaxed. The chai came from a mix, and it was very lightly sweetened - which was perfect in my opinion because you get to control if you add more sweetener or keep it a lighter flavor. I chose to keep it how it was, and I liked it! My friends got iced coffee and the cereal killa, which reminded him of Taro. They both liked there's as well. 10/10 recommend visiting this local spot! read more

Delicious coffee...the large is enormous if that's your jam. We finally caved and tried banana coffee because they offered a banana foster version using real puree. It was amazing. This place was super busy and there isn't much room inside, but our order came out fast. The person who rang us up took time to help make sure my order was what I wanted...I could tell they really knew what they were talking about with understanding how the flavors would interact, which is always a good sign. They offer a variety of cafe style foods that smelled amazing. The doughnuts we ordered were delicious and homemade. read more

We're just done w/ this place (after over a decade, sigh). I was excited when they went co-op but it was quickly clear that $$ corrupts all. The community that donated the funding that made the co-op possible has been thanked with outrageous price gouging. Ah yes, thank you west end residents who can barely make rent-- we're repaying your generosity by treating you the same way mega-corps treat you. Here's some overpriced food paired with stank attitudes (but that's only when we feel like opening; your guess is as good as ours, but we pinky promise we'll put a hand written note on the door so you'll actually have to travel here to know we're closed). read more

Food is great. So is the service. This is the kind of place you want to support because it's worker-owned. They have stuff for vegans or dairy-free people like myself. The coffee isn't bitter and the vibe reminds me of pre-phone coffee shop. Highly recommend. read more

During my last visit there was a woman behind the register preparing coffee and food. She was wearing a tank top and her armpit hair was exposed. I'm not sure if OSHA's policies about hair restraints include armpit hair... and it really doesn't matter if it was a man or woman... but : If it's too hot in the kitchen- provide your employees with an a.c. or a fan. Tank tops shouldn't be part of a uniform for food service workers. The last thing anybody wants is to pull an armpit, head or beard hair out of their coffee or cream-cheesed bagel. My other complaint is that there is ONE TOASTER OVEN. The line is always out the door. More times than not, this establishment loses my business when I see how long the line is. Why is there only ONE person toasting bagels and why is there only ONE toaster. The majority of your profits come from coffees and bagels (I'm assuming ). So why not have a toaster oven that toasts more than one bagel at a time? What a shame if Dunkin only had one coffee machine or McDonald's only had one line cook. People would complain! I have been coming here since I was a high schooler and the quality and variety have only gotten better. The service is pretty fast, usually not waiting longer than 5-10 minutes after ordering. This would be my second time getting a latte from this shop, and I'm rating it good. A total hipster hangout, everything is chill vibes and cool guys. The blueberry cardamom latte was fire, as was the everything bagel sandwich- even tho they made it wrong, still delish. Parking is whack and it's very small inside but the service was friendly and the coffee/food was great. read more

I like the vibes of this place and the absence of pretentiousness. I live in NJ and try to stop by every time I get PVDonuts a few miles away. I concur with an earlier review from another patron: since WHEN is it hygienic to be half dressed in a minimal tank top with all sorts of body hair for display SCRATCHING yourself as I approach the register to inquire about the availability of blueberry bagels? They didn't have them, but if they did, I'd still walk away empty-handed. He (the cashier) needs to be dealt with. Disgusting. read more

Quickly becoming my favorite coffee shop in Rhode Island. White Electric has plenty of delicious drink specials including their White Lightning which has caramel and vanilla with espresso. White Electric Coffee - Relaxing, hipster vibe!! - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Providence, Rhode Island

Let me start off by saying, I normally would give this place 5 stars! Their sandwiches and coffee are usually worth every penny - but today I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I asked for a bagel with cream cheese added bacon to it. First, the layer of cream cheese is ridiculously thin. Second, the fact that it costs $4 to add bacon to a sandwich and give me less than 4 slices total is crazy. This sandwich costs a total of almost $9 (like I said, normally it's worth every penny) I can admit, it was my mistake for not checking it while I was there - but also how would you even ask "can you add more to this sandwich like someone else has in the past so it's actually worth $9?" The inconsistency is enough to make me not want to return. read more

REVIEWING AS A WORK SPACE Reliable wifi and plenty of space to work. We came here on a Wednesday around 3pm and found seating right away near an outlet. The only thing that sucks is that they close at 6:30 which feels pretty early to me. The drink selection is pretty basic. Pretty simple coffee and tea selection. BUT! The cinnamon hot chocolate is a win. Perfect for a cold day. There were a lot of food options but we didn't try anything. Would be a good spot if you were working around lunch time. read more
