Bom Cafe is a hidden gem in the heart of Providence. Bom Cafe has a vibrant and inviting atmosphere with a variety of drinks including coffee, teas, and protein shakes. I ordered their Iced Dulce De Leche latte and it was amazing! I also ordered a delicious breakfast sandwich that consisted of scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, tomato, and avocado on sourdough bread. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The interior of the shop is photo worthy and includes plenty of seating.

Iced coffee & guava pastries - what more could you ever want? Yum!

Beautifully decorated, breezy fresh air in the summer, friendly service, and great coffee! We visited Bom for the first time today and immediately felt comfortable here. We ordered iced coffees and guava/cheese pastries and settled in to some lovely easy chairs to wait. Our coffee was delivered to us with a smile and our food was nicely delivered shortly afterwards. We loved the bright space, the decorative flowering tree and all of the seating options, including outdoors. So glad we visited today - and we enjoyed our food, beverages, service and the relaxing atmosphere of Bom

The space itself is interesting -- I understand the location has even been used as a filming location for a movie -- and the coffee and food we had were both quite good. What stood out, unfortunately, was the atmosphere created by the staff. During my visit the café was less than half full, but employees were very actively directing where people could and could not sit in what otherwise appeared to be open seating. At one point I watched a staff member speak sharply to a customer while waving a sign that said "No laptops at the bar." The confusing part was that the customer didn't appear to have a laptop at all. The interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and awkward to witness. Taken together, the tone of the staff came across as petty and uninviting, which really undermined what could otherwise be a pleasant place to stop for coffee. The drinks and food were good, but the atmosphere made the experience feel tense. Visitors may want to keep in mind that seating and house rules seem to be enforced quite strictly.

The bread was perfectly toasted and every bite was incredible. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into their food. We'll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

Their sandwiches are (to steal a line) superlative! You can get an awesome plain Jane deli sandwich (ie Turkey sub, ham & cheese, corned beef, etc) OR go through the literal DOZENS of concoctions of their signature sandwiches...you can't lose! Tucked in on South Main St now down by the pedestrian bridge, you can people watch the pedestrians (usually coming & going from either financial district/Downtown or the court houses as you await your culinary masterpiece to arrive)...you won't be disappointed! My current faves are Jen & Berry or The Juggs; but I have never had something that wasn't pleasing. There are long tables, so if you are by yourself or a small party & it is packed, you might have to share; but don't look at it as a drawback...look at it as connecting with a fellow human being(s).

The first time I came, it was a rainy weekday and this time it was a sunny weekend, so I was expecting an even larger crowd; and my prediction was correct. The line was just out the door but because of their awesome staff, the line was moving very quickly. While we waited in line, we could watch them making pastries through the glass, a couple feet in front of us. I admired that level of transparency. When we were third in line, the kindest lady asked us whether we'd be eating in or taking out and she took down our name to help us find a table when it came time. She did the same for the rest of the people in line. She also gave us some recommendations, including the cinnamon bun - apparently they're so good kids cry when they sell out. I didn't intend to order anything with my drink, but I couldn't get the cinnamon bun out of my head so I ordered it along with my iced spiced chai latte. The hen (I think it's their logo) on the aprons of the employees are super cute. We did secure a table. The tables are close together to maximize the number of people who can sit down but I didn't mind. I love their art all around, mostly of birds which I am obsessed with. I love that they have a lot of natural lighting coming through their tall windows. I also like the navy blue and white theme they have going on. The chai latte was perfect. It was the right color (a dark tan), meaning the ratio of tea and milk was good and I could taste a lot of the spices. The cinnamon bun blew my expectations away. The second my teeth made. contact with the icing, it was a magical feeling. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it tasted like, but the closest I got was dulce de leche. It is truly unlike any other cinnamon bun I have ever had. The dough is soft and there is a good amount of cinnamon. It's also $4 which is not bad. I had a bite of their canelé, which apparently requires a lot of work to make. It was very moist, with a great caramelized finish. I am super excited to try their new weekend dinner menu, but also more of their all day menu items.

It feels like her place in the best way -- warm, proud, hands-on. Pastries are legit. Super buttery, flaky enough to make a mess, clearly baked that morning. No sad, sitting-around-all-day vibes. Ordered the breakfast sandwich and that tomato jam needs to be illegal. Sweet, savory, slightly tangy -- it completely makes the sandwich. I kept trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Not happening. Crispy chicken sandwich was properly seasoned and not dried out (why is that so hard for some places?). Fries were solid too -- crispy, not limp. And the kale salad with roasted chickpeas and chicken made me feel like I had my life together. Fresh, simple, and actually satisfying. It's one of those places you stumble into while traveling and then immediately start googling whether you can justify going back the next day.
