Master Ba's is a great hot pot and KBBQ spot in Sunrise right by Sawgrass Mills Mall. This is one of my fav places to grab hot pot for an AYCE option. Tucked away in a plaza close to the mall, parking is easy and it's super easy to navigate and find them. I've been here a couple of times and seating was really easy and the staff was very friendly. Once you're seated, depending on what you're getting (hot pot, KBBQ, or both) you can order what things you want to eat. They have a few appetizer options but these aren't my most favorite. The soups they have here are great for hot pot and they have a lot of options of what to put in your soup. They have a sauce bar and they also have a cooler full of ice cream for dessert after. They bring a menu and you choose however many meats and veggies and sides you want. The food comes to you in a robot which is really cool. Typical Korean Bbq and hotspot restaurant. Close to the Sawgrass Mills mall. They offer Korean Bbq alone, hotpot, or a combination of both. Single options are about $30 person, which is pretty much all you can eat, with desserts, or the combination for $36, which isn't a bad deal. This is a fun way to try a different style of food if you've never had it, and it's great for groups. The staff is very friendly, and they take your order right away. Once everything has been ordered, few minutes later, the cute robots will deliver everything to your table. All items are to be bbq'Ed by you! Meats and seafood will arrive at the table completely raw and depending on if you are bbq'in or doing the hot pot, you cook your own meat on the grill or in the boiling hot soups. I had a great experience at Master Ba's Hot Pot and BBQ. The wait staff did try their best to explain the whole concept. The concept here is, for the Hot Pot, pick out a broth and any items for the hot pot. The options are unlimited and includes veggies, noodles and meats. There is a stove at every table and also a bbq pit for the BBQ. Everyone at the table must choice either the HotPot or HotPot and BBQ. For the BBQ, pick out any of the meats which is cooked in the bbq at the table. Those options are also unlimited. There is a buffet table of sauces and other stuff. 3 flavors of ice cream for dessert, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate cups. This being our first time here, my friends and I went crazy ordering too many options. A lot of it was wasted because we were so full. My advice is to order one or two items at a time. You can always order more if needed. The tables are not that big so we found it challenging to put all the options we ordered. While visiting my father-in-law, my husband and I decided to treat him to a new experience he's never had before...hot pot and Korean BBQ! The service was outstanding and the food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself was a bit plain to look at but that's okay. We love the AYCE aspect of hot pot and this allowed my FIL to try whatever he wanted. It was a great visit and my father-in-law was having so much fun. We all enjoyed our meals. Stopped by for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We went around 3pm on a weekday and it was just us and another couple in the restaurant. The server was attentive and we also had the robot bring over some food items as well. We chose to do the bbq but you can choose hot pot, bbq, or combo of the two. It is all you can eat and the restaurant was very clean. We chose the pork belly and as you can see in the photos they give you a good amount. I had an amazing time enjoying both the Korean BBQ and hot pot! The meats--chicken, steak, and pork belly--were all incredibly flavorful and perfectly seasoned! Every bite was juicy and tender, and the staff made sure the grill stayed hot and ready. The hot pot was just as impressive, with rich, savory broth and a great selection of fresh ingredients. My brother wanted to try some hot pot for his birthday so when I found Master ba's offers both hot pot and bbq, I knew it was worth giving it a try. One person in our party was not interested in joining the bbq, and the server was able to adjust it. Service was super friendly, making sure drunks were filled and if we needed to adjust temperatures on our dishes. It's order what you like- and the menu does say how many pieces of food come per order. Make sure not yo eat with your eyes because it's more food than you think. On a paper menu, you will put the quantity amount per item- meats, veggies, seafood, and precooked items as well. A very cute robot server will come and drop off everything- ready for you to cook. Note with hot pot, you can make your dipping sauce at a station nearby. We loved the experience, and if any sauces or utensils were in low stock by the dipping station, the servers were more than happy to accommodate us. they also have a cute ice cream station as well for dessert. again, I say to be cautious about how much food you do order because it will be a lot of food- especially if you're doing both options. The restaurant did state that there is a surcharge if you leave/over order too much food and do not eat it all. you have the option to order more as you go so simply do a few dishes to start and order more as you continue your meal. I have been to Master Ba's Hot Pot 2x now and it has always been a great time. I'm not the biggest fan of the set up for the sauce area BUT I do like the variety that it has. Very good hot pot place, but we will not be returning for the KBBQ. They use some sort of sheet for the grill which we were not comfortable cooking on. We have never seen this ever! The waitress was understanding and let us cook on the grill, but the staff in the kitchen were not happy. It just seemed to us that they didn't want to clean the grills... We did the Hot Pot & KBBQ for $35/person. The spicy broth & bone broth (pork) were very good. It's a small size compared to other strictly hot pot restaurants. The grill for kbbq is in the middle of the table with a non stick mat placed on top. We tried the NY Strip & beef belly. The NY strip was marinated & delicious. We were all happy with our hot pot. Came here on a Monday afternoon. Only another table seated. All I could say is the food was terrible, I'm not sure how you can make chicken, beef or the sauces taste that way. Thought the reviews were ok enough to try, but if you've tried food anywhere outside of your bubble, wouldn't think you'd find this place good. One of the worst meals I've had in memory. It wasn't, my brother agreed who is usually modest on judgement. Couldn't order twice, couldn't finish what we ordered. Just low quality, and no sense of flavor. Also, it's a Korean bbq I get it that it can be harder to clean than other restaurants, but the chairs were sticky, the table was sticky. The bathroom felt cleaner than the seating area. We did the hotpot and bbq combo for $35 pp. For the bbq options everything we ordered was very well seasoned and the short rib was our favorite. The hot pot broth was also very flavorful. I jammed packed it with seafood and it was delicious. Overall I wish they will let you take whatever is already cooked, but they don't allow that. We came here because it was closer and left thinking we should have went to other spots that were just a little farther. We went on a weeknight so the place was fairly empty. The tables were set up with individual pots and shared bbq grill. The service was pretty good with frequent check ins and robots bringing out the food. Overall food quality was ok. This was the WORST Korean Bbq/ Hot I have ever been too in my life - and being from Cali I've had to mooore than a fair share or KBBQ. The meat was not only of terrible quality, but the flavor was almost unbearable. The broth (which literally carries the entire dish) was spiced so heavily with dried basil I thought I was going to choke. The only cool aspect of the entire meal was the robot, but who even cares when the food is so sub par. My money was definitely wasted. I love how conveniently Master Ba's is closed to sawgrass but I can't say I enjoyed it much this time around. I can say that the hot pot broth taste better than last time but the meats for the hot pot did not taste fresh and really funky. The bbq was the same with only the short rib doing justice. I can say, they have decreased portions of what you order from the first time I went, but can be inconvenience if you want a lot of something else. The menu is dim sum style and you check what you want but I would write a quantity even though I'm not sure how that would make sense for the veggies. Maybe they give you more than one bowl of it. New all you can eat hotpot and bbq spot in the area. Came in around 10 and they were able to get us in and let us order before the kitchen closes. Price is a bit high it was about $28 for all you can eat. This includes the appetizers as well. Plenty of items on the menu. We ordered a few items on the appetizer list which includes, calamari, salt and pepper shrimp, and fried pancakes. For hotpot I got the Tom yum broth it was a bit spicy. Plenty of meat and veggies options to choose from. Everything seemed pretty good and veggies seemed fresh. Came here for brunch a couple weekends ago and had a great meal. It's an all you can eat hot pot AND Korean bbq place, which is rare. Most places do one of the other. They have a great variety of different meats and vegetables. We enjoyed everything we got. Service was very attentive and were never left waiting for our next round. We found this place through my Delta SkyMiles Dining rewards accounts, so as an added bonus we get miles when we spend money here. Disclaimer: 2 star review for the kbbq! I have NOT tried the hot pot. It was my first time trying a kbbq + hotpot restaurant, and I'm always iffy about these places bc AYCE hot pot and kbbq just isn't realistic lol. I know my stomach and I'm not that ambitious to eat both in one sitting. I did the kbbq for what I was craving that night. FYI, your party must all be doing both hot pot + kbbq if one person decides to do it. She let us slide this first time because I only wanted one while my friend wanted both. Just want to start off by saying that I did explicitly say I had never been there before when I arrived, and I distinctly remember feeling off standish vibes from the hostess whenever I asked questions. There wasn't much clear direction for some things- ie: like to get your spoons/forks/small plates from the sauce bar amongst other small things. Just asking for things seemed troublesome. Maybe just me though. As for the food itself, the portioning of the meats weren't consistent and cut unevenly. Some meats would be way bigger or smaller which doesn't help with cooking - you gotta really pay attention. Selection wasn't much. I ate the same 3 meats, so it got boring for an ayce. Sometimes the marinate flavor wasn't great depending on the meat. The only salvageable factor was the sauce bar that had many options to make your dipping sauce. It pretty much has everything. I saved myself, really, with my concoctions. My bestie that did do both the hot pot/kbbq didn't rave much about the soup... sooo.. not sure if I'll be back. There were plenty of of tables, for large parties of 12 to small parties of 2! I got the spicy broth and added glass noodles (they have the medium size noodles not the small thin kind), crab sticks, muscles and broccoli. The broth was spicy but it didn't have much flavor to it. It was easy to control the heat for my broth so that nothing cooked too long as well. We got the spring rolls which was good and the pork dumplings. My partner got the Korean barbecue and it was his first time so ordering was a bit different for him. The menu would say that each thing came with 2, so for example, crab stick (2). We assumed that meant 2 pieces. But when the robot brought out the food, it was a lot more than 2! This place also charges $20 per pound of food that you do not eat so we tried our best to eat as much as we could without sharing food since we both got different services. read more

Well it's definitely not the Lemongrass hot pot, but is both hot pot and bbq. And that is the one good thing about this restaurant. One of the problems with this place was the service, they must have been short help because the girls are both waiting on the tables and doing all the bus boy work. Another problem is they didn't speak English very well. There were three of us. Only one of us eats meat, we tried to explain that to our server, and I don't think she understood. Not only did we ask her to tell the person in the back that there was only one person eating meat we wrote it on the menu. Do you think they listened, HELL NO! justice in there other location the sent out enough meats for three people, the bbq and the hot pot. Also everything came out at one time, the appetizers, bbq and the hot pot. And then there's the items that we ordered and never came out, like the eggs, mushrooms and kimchi. They never checked to see if we need more broth. The sauces bar was a mess. Worst of all they served soda in cans. Its not a cheep place and there is no reason not to have a soda fountain. Hot Pot and Korean BBQ spot that is hidden away in the sawgrass area. I came here for a friends birthday. The service was fast and prompt. A little robot brings your food so you only really interact with a server to order the first time and to get drinks. (Later on you can order from phone) I'm not big on hot pots but this place provided and hosted a great time. The Korean bbq was cool but I usually like to cook my own stuff and the lady dumped all the meat right away into the grill so it was congested. read more

As a fan of hot pot, this place did not disappoint . I went with 6 other people, one being my 9 year old son. He did not have soup, and since he's a child they only charged me 1/2 price for his meal. It was awesome that the ayce included the appetizers and ice cream, Even without having hotpot ( which he could have ) he enjoyed endless fried gyoza, spring rolls, salt n pepper shrimp , popcorn chicken... he was very happy The rest of us did enjoy the soup! We used one check off menu to let them know which meats, seafood, noodles, veggies and misc items we wanted for the table & they came to our table via robot. ( which was pretty cool ). Each item was fresh and good. No wilted veggie's or suspicious looking meats or seafood. One server who would check on us to see if we needed more of anything.
