And this was after our third time of dropping it off to them so they could try once again to try to figure out the issue. They came back with a massive bill to fix the issue after we already dumped $775 into it. We asked for a full refund as we now were looking to take it to someone else but they were not amenable to this request. When you have an unhappy customer it is wise to try to understand their position and only their position and work the problem from that effective and empowering position, but unfortunately they seemed more interested in us understanding their position, problems, failures, and issues. In our company of 40 years we don't offer multiple excuses or try to ensure a customer understands our perspective. We only strive to understand their perspectives and needs and offer a full 100% refund to any unsatisfied customer. It is too bad Master Tech does not treat their customers like we do . Excuses are what unprofessional companies use to justify their failures. Professional companies offer solutions instead back stopped by 100% refunds.

My wife took her car in to these guys to get some service that they quoted us about 550$ for. They…read moretook our car and got to work on it. We called because we wanted a firm price for the service we were looking to get. They told us that it would be 100$ diagnostic fee for the breaks. 100$ oil change fee. Then 700$ instead of 550$. I figured close enough. And let it go. So then they tell us that we need new breaks and rotors and a sway bar. They told us they wanted to charge us 2500$ for our service. So we take 2500-900 that means they want to charge us 1600$ for breaks rotors and the sway bar. I priced them out at 400$ for parts and that leaves 1200$ for labor.... So I checked various places to see what the average cost for this kind of service is. My favorite estimate was from their own website. They say the highest you should pay is 600$ for brakes. The parts alone from their shop is more than 600$. So according to their own website they are overpriced and should not be trusted. I have seen rotors replaced and so I know that's not what the extra cost is. So I looked up the average price for that sway bar. It shows as 200-300$. Including the part. So I go in to talk with them because its not more than a days work and the cost of the parts is 400$. So to put it simply I wanted to know why they think it's ok to try to trick my wife into grossly overpaying. They told me they could knock 100$ off of the price. I asked if we could bring in our own parts since they were like 700$ cheaper. They told us no. I told them we would decide after the 700$ that should have been 550$ repair was finished. So they finished it and called us and said that "surprise" there is a huge problem that is going to cost a lot. Not even willing to hear whatever the "new" problem is. We ask for our car back. So they prepare our bill. The total comes to.....1267!!! You see 700+100+100=1267. Naturally I noticed that we agreed to 900 sort of. Technically we agreed to 550+100+100=750 but we understood that they were bumping it up to 900. Then we got the bill for 1267. What a bunch of scam artists. I don't even know what to say about how horrible this was.

We had to wait for the recall to be completed before we could pick up the vehicle. We did a deposit that went toward the down payment and waited for Chevy to get the battery sent out here for the recall. The folks at TMC kept in regular communication with us and worked with us to get the financing set up (through pur independant financer) while not having us get charged until the car was in our possession. Finally, our rep, Ethan was great. He worked with us through the whole process, and he was always receptive whenever we had questions. Even when we were waiting a while for the recall and regularly texted him to check in, he was patient and helpful. He even wished me a happy birthday before my parents did. And, when it came time that the car was ready to be picked up, he worked with my crazy schedule and my spouse being out of town by driving an hour to bring the car directly to my house.
