While the one massage therapist, Rogelio is amazing, the service and fraud that takes place at this "spa" is atrocious. The first time, they charged me 3 hours of credits for one facial, without mentioning it to me or telling me that my $90 facial was going to be $300. I only found out at my next massage appointment that I had a balance due and no remaining credits. Then, I show up for my next massage appointment and informed the owner that I wanted to cancel and am using up my credits over the next 2 months (as per their agreement date). She would not honor my appointment without charging my card again. So instead of having a relaxing massage, I'm now disputing the charges on my credit card. My sister booked a reservation for us for a bday massage at a very well known spa, unfortunately they got the time mixed up and my sister and I were extremely disappointed and not able to attend. I didn't go back because the regular price was expensive. When I checked my bank account 2 days ago, Massage Luxe charged me $94.90 on 12/12 which I never went to!! So I called them yesterday (12/16) and the manager answered (the same manager that I spoke to about the $20 promotion. She was there my first and second time). She told me that she explained to me about signing up for the membership. THE MANAGER IS NOT BEING HONEST!! She NEVER explained it to me!! This place is something else. My husband who is a smoker, went to get a massage today and purchased some deal they had for 3 massages for $200.00. Once he went into the room with the massage therapist she said she heard him cough a couple times and asked if he was sick. My husband explained he wasn't sick, he smokes and coughs sometimes. She had the nerve to say she didn't think it sounded like a smokers cough and refused to give him a massage. Is she a doctor to determine that? I don't think so. So my husband asked for a refund because rescheduling isn't going to work if they'll never take a person that coughs 3 times because they'll claim they're sick. The woman at the desk said she had to figure it out and wouldn't give him a refund right then and there. I have never been turned away for a massage anywhere because of a cough and I get them regularly at other massage places. I have never heard of that but fine, but to not give the refund is ridiculous and basically stealing money. He is a smoker, he will never not cough so he can't be a client here so give us our money back. read more

JULES is a gem I have been going to ML Wyckoff for a number of years. My initial interest was because the center did not lock you into a contract and you had the ability to exit the contract at anytime without any fees. And over the years I've had a couple great therapists. This review is specifically on Jules - a recently added therapist who is AMAZING. She listens. She remembers for the next time. She's humble and patient. And equally important, she's got a great technique. I've gone to her twice, once for 80 minutes and the next 110 minutes. She explained to me how I would feel in certain areas like pecks and not to be alarmed and we can discuss the next time to adjust it or remove all together. She's truly amazing and I hope ML does not lose her. read more

Back ache, ankle pains, stiff neck... These are some of the things you can imagine a full term pregnancy brings. I decided that I needed some relief and went ahead and booked a prenatal appointment with MassageLuXe. This was during the pandemic in Sept 2020. Their facility is immaculately clean and they take all of the necessary Covid Safety measures possible, masks, sanitizing stations, no one else in the waiting room but you... etc. The prenatal massage was something I was timid about doing. First of all, what does "prenatal massage" even mean? Secondly, how will it work with this big ol' baby belly!? Thirdly, is it safe!? Rest assured, these questions were not only answered in advance on a phone but during the day of, the massage therapist talked me through what to expect prior to beginning. I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. The message was immaculately executed and I even started snoring at one point! Talk about relaxing... The 4 stars instead of 5 are simply because the booking process was a little rough. I wanted to book 3 appointments back to back or close in time with one another for 3 different people, my husband and sister, who all planned to be in the area around that time. It took the receptionist putting me on hold 3+ times to "to confirm with the therapists" to ensure they are certified appropriately (for prenatal and my sister wanted a hot stone) and to confirm availability. It took about 30 minutes to book the appointments and 3 different call backs. However, I think this was due to the complexity of the appointments I was trying to make and the fact that they have to space them out for Covid. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here... However, for a luxury Spa, I did expect a bit more organization. Regardless, I walked out of there super pleased and even joined their facility as a reoccurring member. They have some super great deals for a quaint luxury spa. I'd recommend checking them out, just try and avoid booking for other people and stick to booking your own appointments, ha! read more

I had a lovely facial by Angelica she was very nice and professional she did a nice anti aging treatment the VIP my skin looks very good! Lots of facial massage while applying the treatments! Loved it! I also had a deep tissue/trigger point with Rudy and he got into all the areas that I requested. He's strong and very confident in his work. Went for a trigger point massage today with Ruddy. I've had 2 recent spine surgeries and I'm still struggling with some pain in the lower back and pelvis area. Facial is not worth it. I paid over $100 to get a facial and all they did was rub 2 things on my face in circles over and over again. It was more of a massage than a facial but she kept rubbing the same spot over and over again. I was laying there and just started counting how long she was going to rub the same spot on my cheek for. Not to mention it was a 1 hour facial. By the time i got dressed, checked out, and got in my car it had been less than an hour of me even showing up there. My skin feels more dry than it did when i walked in. Totally condescending, try to sell you on future scams, and scammed us completely today, when we called they told us one of our massages was going to be an introductory rate of $65 and the other $85. Complete bait and switch at check out and having us do the "free" hydrotherapy treatment that's more likely to make us sick because of the severe smell of mold in the room they are trying to cover up with baking soda. MassageLuXe has really stepped up their game post-Covid. They still take necessary precautions to keep you and their employees safe. But the biggest improvement I've noticed as a member is increased flexibility. You won't loose your monthly hour if you are unable to use it, so they will keep carrying over. You can then use those banked hours towards more premium facials or longer massages. They also just added HydraFacial to their list of options, and I'm excited to try! So far they are headed in the right direction to keep me as a member! read more

I then went on a saga of calling 7 times, speaking to a manager and they still billed me. I then complained and they reversed it after 3 more calls. 1 week later they billed me again. Great place! My mom and I came here with Groupons, but we left as members. Both of our massages were amazing. The facility is beautiful and very clean. Everything is super relaxing right down to the waiting room. The staff are so nice!!! Everyone is friendly and talkative and overall want to make sure your experience is perfect The Groupon also came with 15 minutes in their hydro luxe machine which was really really cool. Over the phone I was told that I'd receive a female masseuse. I even clarified and said I wanted a female. So I walk in to Massage Luxe and a lot of people are in the waiting room. I was told to walk to their lounge where I'd wait for the massage therapist there. 3 other women who were together came into the lounge. One by one they were picked up by a massage therapist to go to a room. Then a man came for me. I made sure to say "are you here for me? I'm supposed to have a female." And he seemed confused and said "we just switched since the other girl wanted a female." And I told him I made sure to ask for a female when scheduling. At first he said I could schedule for another day then he brought me to the front to resolve the issue. They claimed they thought I was apart of that party of other women, but even if I was, I was told over the phone I'd be receiving a female. They ended up telling the other girl that she would have the male masseuse. Then the female masseuse came back to get me. By time I got into the massage room it was past my appointment time so I asked "this will still be an hour right?" She said yes. The massage didn't start until 2:15 then she nonstop talked for probably 20 minutes if not more. I normally wouldn't want to comment on that, but it was not relaxing whatsoever. She kept asking me questions and I tried to keep it short because I didn't want to be rude. After a couple minutes of silence she'd ask me questions again. She asked me later while massaging me, "just wondering, why are you only comfortable with a female?" Which was an incredibly inappropriate question to ask and I don't owe an explanation. At one point, she moved my arm to put it under the blanket, briefly exposing me which made me very uncomfortable. Usually the masseuse closes their eyes but she seemed to forget in the moment. Later on she put the sheet up when telling me to turn over so I was covered. Then she finished at 3:03pm. The massage was supposed to be an hour. The gift certificate included time in their massage water spa machine (I'm unsure of the exact name of it) and when the front desk person said there was a long wait for it, I decided to leave. I left feeling more tense than when I walked in. I had received their Black Friday special gift certificate which cost around $40? Apparently normally their massages cost $115... which is absurd for the lack of quality and unprofessionalism. My family member has a gift certificate as well and I want to tell them to just throw it out at this point. It was just an incredibly stressful experience. I will never go back here. read more

We visited this location because there was a groupon for it. I called and the guy I spoke to on the phone was friendly and accommodating for an appointment the same day. The paperwork was emailed to us to limit contact. All the COVID measures made me feel very safe. My masseuse was very nice and calm; he also had very good technique. A few things could have made the experience better. The room felt cold to me for a massage and the music was not really relaxing. The oil was also cold; it really should be warm. Basically the environmental factors were lacking. I usually am so relaxed during a massage that I fall asleep. I did not this time unfortunately. Also the girl at the counter when we were leaving was a bit forceful and not so friendly- not the vibe after a relaxing massage. read more

I got a facial and paid extra for extractions. My skin and face did not feel any better after leaving like I have experienced at other spas. There was nothing to extract from my face. The therapist used a tool and dug in my skin which hurt and she said there was nothing there. The shoulder massage was a joke. It was just oil rubbed on my shoulder with no pressure at all. Massages are amazing but the thing that really makes MassageLuXe stand out to me are the facials. I came back here for a facial under my membership and omg. They have the best skincare facial I've ever gotten. My esthetician was extremely knowledgeable and added in treatments she felt would be beneficial specifically for my skin. I have acne prone skin and have gotten literally dozens of spa facials, this one stands alone above them all! I plan to come back here monthly for facials, my skin was literally glowing after. I have been a member at the Wyckoff , NJ location until the COVID 19 stay at home order forced them to close. I called and cancelled my membership so I would not continue to be charged. I have one hour credit left on my account. They called to let me know they have reopened and my one hour is only good for two months. they are sticking to their normal rules for cancellation. I find these rules totally unacceptable !!!! I am over 65 and do not think within 2 months I will be ready for such an intimate service as massage. They offered me a gift certificate that could last for 6 months but it would cost me an additional $20 fee. This is not the way businesses should treat their customers during these unusual times.
