I downloaded Yelp just so I could write this review. I never understood their low rating. I've been a member here almost 2 years and have always had a great massage. I've had massages all over the world, at 5 star resorts, and the therapists at Luxe are great. Such a value. Do not even think about freezing your membership! I did it for medical reasons, thinking after a while I would be able to use it, Now I find I have to have another surgery, and am having some financial issues. Before my next surgery I thought I could use the hour I have paid for and the $20.00 IN FROZEN FEES! For 4 months I have paid $5.00 to keep my membership! What the nice girl on the phone did not explain to me is that in order to use any of this I would need to pay another $45.00 for any service that I wanted to have. I called to see if they would at least refund the $20.00 and they could keep the $65.00, but no! I have cancelled my membership for health and financial reasons, but nobody there really cares. They are very nice when they take your money, but do not explain things too well! I feel like I was scammed! I do not recommend this place at all, just because of their awful customer service, it is much like Massage Envy who has the worst customer service! read more

I had membership 1,5 h month for $78.88, little bit much, because 1 hour massage is really 50 minutes, but Mariah is really good and I was feeling good after massage. It's expensive and I decided to cancel membership, you must do it in person, so I did with manager and 3 weeks later I got charged again! I called them, they told me, they have some problem with computer system, and that manager will call me. Well nobody called. So I made dispute with my bank. One month after I drove around Luxe and I decided to stop by, manager was in, so I asked him, if he remember me, that I canceled membership with him and called them about it, nobody called me back, he was red, shaking, but no sorry, no apology, just looking in computer silent, finally he told me, they will return money back. Very unprofessional, does not look like leading person. Also I noticed they have a lot of cancel forms, so looks like I'm not the only one to canceled. Home I noticed on contract which manager was filling for me, he instead #5 in my address wrote J and Way he wrote Waq, form is missing member # even contract #. If you cancel, they don't give you copy of it. Place is nice, masseuse is very professional and knows what she does. Locations deserve better manager. read more

The staff at Willowbrook is very easy to talk to and very helpul. I have had 3 different people massage me and all have been good in their own way. I am on the monthly plan and they let me combine so my wife and I can both use. I would reccomend this to anyone who needs to relax. read more

Same here. I used a Groupon. My massage wasnt' the best but somehow I got sucked into the monthly membership too.The following week my car ended up getting totaled, so I asked if I could please have them cancel my membership. I didn't use my banked massage, so all I wanted was for them to not take the fee out the following month. I didn't care if I didn't get the "extra" promised massage. I signed cancellation docs, but they took the money out anyway the following month. So I went for another massage. The second one was great and I really liked the girl. I know I didn't get the full 60 minutes, but I didn't worry about it. Since I had a banked 60 more minutes I made another appt. Unfortunately, there was a traffic back up, and I tried calling to let them know I was running late. No one answered, just a recording. They called back asking if I was coming, and I told them I was in traffic. They said the girl was booked after me and if I was 30 minutes late she could only work on me 30 minutes. I asked if I could just reschedule and they said "sure". Well when I rescheduled they told me I didn't have any banked time. I went over there to see what was up, and I was told since I didn't come in for the last massage, I lost any time I had banked!! Why didn't they tell me that when I asked about rescheduling???? I would have taken 30 minutes, instead of loosing everything. I told the manager Jason I wanted to make sure the cancellation papers I signed were valid, because there was no sense for my to come all this way in the future. He assured me everything was cancelled. Well GUESS WHAT? THEY TOOK MY MONEY AGAIN THIS MONTH, and when I called, they said they took care of it and I should have a credit this morning in my account. It hasn't happened yet, I had 2 dr. visits this month, and the last thing I needed was for $58.88 to be taken out of my account. All I need next are nsf fees!!!! This is the best place I've ever been to. I've been to fancy schmancy places that charge me up the butt and still give me just a basic massage. But here, I love it. I walk in and they greet me right away with a smile. They are on time and and cordial. And the masseuse that ive had in the past is incredible. She knows exactly what I need, and does exactly what imasking for. She manages to always get out all my trouble spots. I refuse to go anywhere but here!! read more

well I read the other reviews, and all i can say is that the new owners as of sept 16 2013 are fabulous, I thoroughly enjoyed my massage and was well worth the money. I was informed by the new owner changes and upgrades were made and new staff are now employed there, I think this place is awesome and I will be returning again. the staff was pleasant and friendly i arrived 15 min prior to appointment to fill out the paper work as instructed and received my full hour massage by Daniel I would request him he is awesome read more

I had canceled my luxe package because I was not impressed- front desk very rude and the manager a scam artist. I canceled my package in writing at the front desk 9/30/13 and continue to be billed. After several calls and leaving messages for the manager because no one could help me, he still has not called. I am still being charged $88.88 every month fraudulently! I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Therapist were marginal in skill and some expressed dissatisfaction working there. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A PACKAGE!!! read more

I purchased the package deal at the willowbrook massage luxe and received massages but last jan 2013 I was diagnosed with stage 4 incurable cancer in my bones and was not able to receive any more massages so that my bones would not break. I talked to the manager Jason at the time and he is now the owner about getting a refund for the 10 massages I had paid for but never received $580.00 and he said no problem but I have never received a refund and I have called monthly and its always another excuse. I need to get money from previous owner, I have to talk to my brother because he owns it with me etc , etc. Now its been a year and still no refund. In fact I went in there today and left a message for jason and he has not called me back. I even called corporate and still no refund. I am calling again and I don't know if he is just waiting for me to die so he doesn't have to give me the money but I think it is ridiculous. If someone gave me 500.00 for a couch and I never gave them a couch I would believe the right thing to do would be to give them there money back. I didn't get the 10 massages I want my money back. If anyone can help me or can have everyone they know call there and tell him to give me my money back that would be great. read more

I had the same experience as Kris M. Having oversold on their groupon deal, I called multiple times to book an appointment for a 1 hr massage and after being told each time that they were booked solid for months, I attempted to get a refund/credit through groupon but was denied. I ended up booking a Friday night in April back when I called in January. So inconvenient. Most massage places will make every effort to get you in ASAP because they want your business. The staff was rude and not helpful at all. After already being irritated at how hard it was to get an appointment, they called the day before to confirm only to tell me that I had a male masseuse after specifically requesting a female. Oddly enough, they did have availability the same night to switch me to my request of a female. I walk in the door a 1/2 hour prior to my appointment, thinking i can get my included 15-min massage on their hydrobed. The girl was on the phone with a customer for a good 10 minutes and didn't acknowledge me at all. Finally, a man comes in from the back and asks how he can help me. I am then brought back into the "relaxation" room where the masseuse will pick me up from. I sit back there for another 15 min and now its nearing my 7pm appointment start time. Another girl had been brought back and taken within 2 minutes while I still was waiting. Finally, my masseuse, Rebecca, comes in and says shes not quite ready for me yet but she'll be with me in a moment. By the time I get back into the massage room, it was 7:10pm. She specifically notes that my time will not be docked and I will be given the full hour. I had reserved a deep tissue massage and what she gave me couldnt be further from a deep tissue. Barely any pressure, her hands were ice cold, I was practically counting the minutes in my head until the hour was over. And of course, when she finished, it was 8pm and I was given only a 50-minute massage even though they were the late ones. And I was never given the 15 min. hydrobed massage, though at this point, I just wanted to get out of there. One of the worst experiences, not relaxing at all. I would never give this place my business again and I warn everyone from buying into their groupon. Not worth the $$ one bit. read more

Talks about a scam. Initially, I was happy, the massages were good, not great but they were fair priced for what you got. I went there with a groupon and signed up for their membership program. This is a monthly charge that keeps coming. After a few months, I would call for an appointment and there were none available when I requested it. I tried multiple times and was unable to get in. As I was training for a full Ironman race, I really needed good massages. I was then told that there is multiple levels of masseuses. And if I wanted a good sports massage, it would be more. In the end I had four hundred fifty dollars of credits, I couldn't use. I am really frustrated that they would not refund the credits I didn't use. I also informed them that I would be writing this review, there didn't seem to care. They also make you come in to cancel the membership. In the end, if something it too good to be true, it probably is. When you see a place with two yelp stars, that;s all you need to know. If you are just looking for a quick massage, use the groupon, but don't fall the membership. read more

The place looked clean... I bought the groupon deal for this place as a christmas present for my brother. I called the evening of the 22cd and asked the store manager how it worked. He said that the groupon could be used anytime the following day. Next day my brother, my 2 yr old nephew and I all drove an hour to their location. We were greeted by the same guy I spoke to the night before. He asked if we had an appointment... I did not. He said he was booked all day! I was fairly upset bc I talked to him the night before and this was not mentioned he said it said it on the groupon. I left and later looked it up and he is correct. Although I felt that with him being the store manager when I had called it may had been helpful for him to ask about making an appointment! Or even suggest it seeing as though the groupon was only good for 1 day. So now that it's Christmas eve my money is stick in limbo w groupon we wasted an hour drive to come out and there's no gift for my brother! I will never come back and will be looking at getting a refund! read more
