I have now had my 3rd massage here. the first 2 were good the second with kyle the best. this 3rd one with Dave SUCKED big time. for a full body massage it was like a very inexperienced 2nd grader giving the massage. I had a 60 min deep tissue massage and it was good. They changed my appointment twice , first time the therapist was sick and went home, the second time they made a mistake in scheduling. I had a Groupon for the deep-tissue massage and a 15 min HydroLux massage. When I came in for my appointment I was told that the HydroLux massage machine is not working. After putting some pressure on them that I wanted to try it and I paid for it they told me that they will give me a voucher and I can come back next time and use it. After my massage was over I walked by the front desk and they just said "Bye "and didn't give me the voucher; I didn't ask for it again. I had no time to use them so I called to ask if I could give someone else a massage (I had 2 left waiting for me to use) and all I got was the same rude answer that made no sense. Upon asking what the response meant, I got the same response. The person seemed to really not like his job and made me feel very uncomfortable- to the point where I dont even want to go get massages that I paid for. However, I most likely will because I'm not one for throwing away good money. Like the others, I was sucked in by the low monthly fees. My package consisted of a monthly "60 minute" deep tissue massage for $58.88 a month. Not bad. Only problem, the massage is actually just under 50 minutes. The fine print calls the other 10 plus minutes "preparation time." My therapist, Christine, was top notch. She really knew her stuff and I was sad to give up her expertise. After my third and final massage, I was checking out when I was told that I now owe $80. What? I asked. "Oh, Christine has graduated to our supreme therapist level," they replied. (Or, something like that). "Our most popular therapists now cost more." I was so turned off by the bait and switch that I had to terminate my membership. BTW, they will only allow you to cancel in person, another attempt to sucker you in, make things difficult, etc. I should have gone with my hunches before signing up. Don't fall for their groupon gimmick. Where to begin? The "60 minute" advertised massage was 40 min. (at best). They said, well we clearly outline in the "fine print" it's 50 minutes due to consultation & paperwork however, that begs the question... why then draft the offer as a 60 minute massage? (Well, why is obvious). Oh and certainly 50 is NOT 40 minutes. No, they don't much seem to care. NEXT.....the deal was to include a 15 minute HYDRO-LUXE (dunno.... some sort of clothed -pulsating auto massage in bathtub) but nonetheless, part of the purchase & anxious to get INTO that since the massage was pitiful. (I even tipped the poor girl well feeling poorly for her lack of skill AND working there. it's not like their signs will allow you to forget to do so for one second. But hey....if "svc related"...they can't be getting much And when asked about my HYDROLUXE, front desk said...oh sorry but it's closed due to a "jet problem"!! Seriously???? The best part was, they would not have EVEN mentioned, thought I'd just trail off in the night not noticing or asking! I said "I TALKED to you not ONCE but twice today, when did this JET go down?" Stupidly he admitted morning (I had 8 pm appt.), so I said, "well didn't you think it might be WORTH telling or calling me so I could reschedule?" He nonchalantly (think he was part-robot to be honest) said, "well no...we don't cancel a person-massage just due to THAT!" HUH? I repeated THAT was part of my purchase, how he KNEW this when he took my groupon number making the appt! OH----to be clear, it was 60 minute massage & 15 H/machine or $29. He didn't blink any eye, .......no one cared. I do NOT live around this place (doesn't matter, would never go back) but you think they would at least FEIGN regret. NOPE!! So to sum up....I got HALF of what I paid for (if you do the math) & what I did collect on was pretty poor massage. DO not support them, they need to GO (out of business already). And I love groupon but they need to check out shoddy merchants like this (I actually insisted I get in writing I could not get into the HYDROLUXE machine, so he jotted on back of his card. When I walked into massage luxe it was quiet and peaceful. But to quiet. There was no one at the front desk. I stood there for over 5 minutes until someone came. I was about to leave. Daniel did my massage. Very relaxing and he is professional. I would recommend him. 5 stars to him. The massage lasted the full hour. And the hydro luxe bed afterwords is a nice bonus. I will not be returning. The receptionist was extremely friendly, and the place is very clean and has a good ambiance. However, the massage was horrible. I wrote on the intake form that I did not want one area of my body touched. I reminded him when he got close, and he said he read that on the sheet, so he knew. When I pulled away when he grabbed me there anyway, he pulled harder. I spent the rest of the massage waiting for it to end so I could get out. That is completely unacceptable. read more

First massage was schedule for 90 mins, arrived about 15 mins early to check in, review membership options and share a few mins with friendly reception. She escorted me to a quiet, peaceful mood setting area, offered water/tea and an iPad to complete my sign in. Application was easy to complete and understand. Reception came back to collect iPad and with a few more mins before my session the environment swallowed my energy and a calm was created. Katie introduced herself, led me to a cool, tranquil, aqua colored room to continue our introduction. I listed my areas concern, the limits of my body I am currently challenged with and my goals.... Katie listened, summarized and suggested a starting point and how we would wrap up the session. After all said and done in the inviting room, I was offered to lay on the hydro bed.... After those 15 mins, I signed up for membership, schedule my next session with Katie and floated out to my car. Before I begin, this review has no reflection on the massage therapists. They do good work, but unfortunately, the following needs to be said. This place is nothing but a scam. All they do is try and lure you in with these incredibly exaggerated "monthly packages". First and foremost, I have tried it. I have had family and friends try it. It is not worth it. You cannot share hours, you cannot pause your account to catch up on hours, and they will do everything they can to squeeze every little penny out of us. My poor wife had to have surgery and forgot to "freeze" her account (another scam if you ask me). During the time she was having surgery, things were so hectic we weren't paying attention to our bills. One day, we notice we had each been charged our $89 monthly dues for about four months without using them. I called in and spoke with the manager, she was nothing but rude and condescending. Our package gives us each 2 hours a month, so we have a total of 16 hours. There is no way we can use that in a billing cycle. The rude manager started laughing at us, asking us why we didn't look at our bills and kept acting like we were trying to scam her. She kept mentioning some contract that we were supposed to sign. All we asked is if there was a way to have one of our children use a couple of the hours, or to convert them to a gift card, maybe even put our accounts on hold now just to use some hours to catch up. Our only option was to cancel our membership and lose all the hours that we've already paid for, or continue paying the membership dues and hope for the best. The owner, Gulu, and manager, Penny, are the most awful, untrustworthy people. They only care about their paychecks and profit margins. Even their employees are last priority. I hate to say don't visit this place, because the therapists are all absolutely hands down some of the best in the business. The management and owners just desperately need to go. read more

I came in for a facial on 12/28/16 on a Groupon. Booking the appointment was extremely easy and the woman who took my appointment was very knowledgeable of their services. This is important for someone who does not know the difference in facials. Coming in I was greeted with amazing service and met with Rachel, my esthetician. She explained all of my Groupon options and what service I would enjoy. She was right! I chose the peel and reveal and added extractions. I can agree with others that the massage is about 45 minutes, not an hour. So I purchased the groupon and I called to make an appointment. The next available appointment for a couples massage was in 2 months. I thought to myself WOW!!! Well I had no other choice so i agreed, she took down my info and told me that they will call me to remind me of my appointment. First off no phone call, then when we got there they wanted to put us in separate rooms. So I explained that I had asked for a couples message. They fixed that situation. I asked the masseuse to focus on my shoulders and my upper back. He worked on the left side for about 20 minutes and the right side for 5 minutes. Which did not satisfy me at all. After that we went to check out and the lady tells us that we have to pay $5. I asked why and she says because you upgraded to a couples massage. I immediately asked for a manager. I tried to explain to him nicely that no one informed me about the $5, not over the phone not even before we started our massage. He interrupted me about 5 times, raised his voice and basically yelled at me that his employees told you and you have to pay the $5. He didn't even care what I had to say. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! Horrible customer service and they look for any way to force you into using your groupon as they can. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy and I called about 30 minutes within the 24 hours. I understand the reason you don't want people cancelling last minute, but to be so rigid as to not honor something over 30 minutes??? Just another reason for them to make someone upset and not ever want to come to your place of business. They automatically used my groupon even though I couldn't come and I told them 23.5 hours earlier. And on top of it their manager was not understanding or nice at all. Do not even think about freezing your membership! I did it for medical reasons, thinking after a while I would be able to use it, Now I find I have to have another surgery, and am having some financial issues. Before my next surgery I thought I could use the hour I have paid for and the $20.00 IN FROZEN FEES! For 4 months I have paid $5.00 to keep my membership! What the nice girl on the phone did not explain to me is that in order to use any of this I would need to pay another $45.00 for any service that I wanted to have. I called to see if they would at least refund the $20.00 and they could keep the $65.00, but no! I have cancelled my membership for health and financial reasons, but nobody there really cares. They are very nice when they take your money, but do not explain things too well! I feel like I was scammed! I've had massages all over the world, at 5 star resorts, and the therapists at Luxe are great. Such a value. I have been going to Massage Luxe for almost 9 months now. I have never felt short changed. I did not feel suckered into the memebership. I was only asked. It made sense for since I knew I was coming back after the first time. Maybe it has to do with my therepist who is Tracy she has made a pain in my shoulder that hurt everyday for many many years so much better! It has greatly improved my quality of life. I would highly reccomend her. I have not been able togo now for a weeks due to a family emergency but they do allow your unused time to accumulate. They even let me bring my daughter once for an hour I had not used. I find them very easy to work with. read more

What a horrible experience! The manager Jason was not only very rude to me, but spent ten minutes yelling at an employee who was obviously upset about something. I thought it was very shady to stand in the front lobby with customers walking in and out, and yell at an employee about how much work they were required to do even if they said they couldn't for medical reasons. It's also sad and embarrassing that I had to listen to this very personal conversation to the point where I know details about this persons life! I feel sorry for the people who work there. I couldn't even imagine having to deal with someone like that. I was so disgusted with my experience with Jason that I had to let everyone know to beware! I'm guessing that most of the bad reviews about him are accurate considering my first hand experience. The spa is well taken care of and everything looks clean and elegant. I have had several massages by different therapists, and while some are better than others they all do their best to address the areas of concern. They are upfront with policies on the monthly membership and talking with other members proves that people are satisfied with their experiences. I would definitely return. read more

Massage is very average, depends on how lucky u r on the day and who is doing ur massage. In addition the minimum tip is some $11, which is more than 15% of the massage fee, in case u r using groupon, it is more than 30%. How much tip should be paid is the discretion of the customer, why would massage luxe put a "minimum" on it. Of course. Everybody knows if the service is good tip is normally 15%. read more
