Okay you guys! I've only been here once so far. But first impressions are everything and my first impression is wow! I always feel worried and grumpy when I'm trying out a new self care method. Probably because I've found lots of frogs, but no prince (until now). (At least I hope.) I found a fabulous Groupon for this spa and I thought why not? I'm so glad I did! I was able to score a massage with Destiny, and I'm so happy the universe put us together because Im pretty sure I disable found my new massage therapist! I've been looking for 2 years (minus covid) since moving from Iowa and Destiny created a super relaxed environment for me. Her energy is so calm and relaxed as it's her massage technique. I was sooooo relaxed at the end of my appointment I felt delirious . The front desk ladies easily talked me into the monthly membership as well! Which btw, the front desk ladies are wonderful as well. Super helpful and friendly. Very professional as is the salon. I loved the relaxed vibe and decor. There's so many therapeutic options for massage as well as skin care. I already scheduled my follow up with Destiny in 2 weeks. I'll just wrap it up in a nutshell - Horrible Customer Service Once they lock you in you will lose a lot of money. I got hit for $84 because they screwed up my appointment then told me it was my fault and they would charge me guest rate for the missing appointment. I had $150 credits and they still charged my bank account. So now they have $235 of my money and I haven't received one service. NOT ONE! Customer is never right with them, EVER! I highly suggest going someplace else unless you have money to throw away. You try and cancel and they convince you to just freeze your account for $5 a month. And that $5 would go towards any one of their services. Then you have to pay another $58 to unfreeze your account just to be able to use your credits. WTF?!?!? It is a total SCAM. DO NOT USE THEM!! There are plenty of good massage places out there but this is definitely not one of them. read more

I've gone enough to write this review genuinely. The first massage I ever got was from Ashlynn who is no longer with Massageluxe. I was very sad when she left but since then I have received several massages from Christian and Matthew that have been top notch! I have a membership that allows for one hour of a service per month but I didnt use it for several months so I have some credits built up. With those credits I have gotten some bomb facials that have really made a difference in my skin. I'll tell you this. I went to a high end spa in Orlando and paid $400 for services that were not nearly as good of quality as the ones I have received at massageluxe. The staff is very pleasant and knows me by name. They even make great recommendations for new services for me to try. The monthly membership is $60 but I think it is more than worth it for how I feel when I leave. read more

Extremely disappointing experience for my wife. They had a Mother's Day special for a 90 minute massage. They tried twice to set the appointment for 60 minutes rather than 90. They canceled the first appointment because no credit card was on file but I had already pre-paid in full. My wife had to book another appointment. She called ahead of time for the 2nd appointment to make sure everything was set. They mentioned the gift card was on file and everything was all set. At the end of the massage they stated they needed a hard copy print out of the gift card, even though they had a soft copy on file. I had to drive to their location and hand deliver a hard copy of the certificate. They will never see another penny from our family. read more

I wanted to stay longer. I went in with anxiety and came out with a rested mind and body. I felt so at peace with the service Michele provided me with. Thank you for the massage, Michele! The hydromassage was just what I needed after a massage. The warmth made me fall asleep and made me feel like nothing else mattered. I booked a message hoping to relieve lower muscular back pain due to a workout accident. Good news is they messed up my shoulder so bad I barely notice my lower back pain. It has been a week since my message and the pain continues to increase. I woke up this morning to my fingertips being numb and the rest of that arm aching.I went in there to fix my back( which they completely avoided my problem area I needed worked on) and left with a first time shoulder injury. I got a massage as a birthday gift and when I walked in I was greeted immediately with friendly staff, they sat me down in the lounge with free waters and comfy chairs. I got a groupon for an hour massage and got the best message I've ever had in my life... and with degenerative disk disease, I've had dozens and dozens of massages around the country so that's saying a lot! My massage therapist's name is Augusta and I've had her 4 times now. She listens and executes the perfect massage each time. Once i had to schedule with someone else when Augusta was not available and i was not impressed with that massage at all. I consider myself very lucky i got Augusta on my first visit. She's the main reason i keep coming back. I've starting arriving early so i can use the hydro bed to start relaxing the tight muscles and by the time the massage is over, I'm feeling 100% better. I'm planning on splurging soon for some facials and will write another review when that happens. Yes, i got the sales pitch on my first visit but it was very low key, not like the horror stories others have had. I am glad i signed up for one massage per month... it's definitely been a great value for me since i regularly need massages for ongoing back problems. I've never had a problem with the ladies at the front desk. They've always been polite and attentive to me. I just had a massage here on a Groupon deal which I thought was a good deal. My massage was not the best I've had, but it was good. I was very relaxed and fell half-asleep. LOL. The salon itself was very clean and I liked that they were able to book me the same day I called about it, and there were two receptionists at the desk and they seemed pretty busy. I wish I read some of the below reviews about signing up for $10 for the next month's then $58 the one after... that's exactly what was offered to me after the massage and I was in my weaker state of mind-- all relaxed and massaged and what not-- so I took the bate. Should I be worried? My next $10 appointment is in a couple of weeks, and I even signed up for one in June as well. Hmmm...this makes me very nervous. More to follow. read more

I had zero issues with this place, until now. My wife and I just had a baby. We contacted the salon explaining that it would be months before we would be returning and to cancel our account. I sent a letter informing them and thought "all was good" Today I looked at my statement and the salon has continued to bill me. When I called they told me that they didn't "close" my account, they "froze" it and to freeze me account there is a $5.00 fee. They refused to stop billing me until I physically drove there and cancelled my account. Now, I'm not sure if you're familiar with life with a new born, but expecting both parents to drive 30 miles to sign another document that can be done digitally, is ridiculous. I used a gift card and while I was grateful for the gift, would probably not go back. I asked for firm pressure on my massage and felt that I had very light pressure at best. I've never had a therapist actually sit down during a massage. The room was extremely cold; so it was hard to relax. I also got a facial and you have to re dress for each service and go back and sit in waiting room. Certainly takes away from the experience. I have never been to a membership type place. They did try to sell a membership which I declined. People were friendly. I did appreciate that there were no up sell on products during the facial. The hydro massage was very cool. I did get a massage and facial for what I normally spend on one service- so I guess you take into consideration what you are paying. Booked an appointment several weeks ago via Groupon, to give a local spot a try. When I booked I said "I would like to make a female LMT appointment using a Groupon for any Sunday. I always see a female LMT- so, that's always my opening line ;-) A nice male therapist came to the lounge to retrieve me. He was kind and professional, and I felt bad saying "I booked with a female therapist", as it is in no way personal- just where my comfort level is. He followed the correct protocol and let the front desk staff know. The female staffer came to the lounge and told me that I either needed to see him (and be uncomfortable) or relinquish the massage altogether. "The Groupon was redeemed so we cannot reschedule." She was also sure to inform me that "she knows the employee who made the appointment, and she would have asked: male or female."..assuring me that, I suppose, despite being human, their employees apparently never make mistakes. The right thing to do here would have been to apologize for any miscommunication and reschedule the appointment. They redeemed the Groupon without providing the service. It amazes me to see a representative of a business completely paralyzed by the need to think outside of the box. It's rare for me to give a negative review, but when a business steals from someone, that review will absolutely be spread far and wide. Shameful. read more

My Groupon today was for a massage with Justin he was delightful and very understanding of the fact that I need a hip replacement so you cannot touch my left side hip. His hands were quickly working out every night in my shoulders which has been four months. My only downside is the fact that the front counter girls are nice but always trying to upsell you I recognize it's their job but I don't appreciate it. My husband had a massage the same day was also promised Justin but got a different massage therapist who didn't quite listen to but he wanted it was a good massage just slightly off because of communication. This is a review for the massage Luxe on Vandyke in the publix plaza (cross street dale mabry). At 4:45pm on March 10, 2016 my daughter (13yrs) and I were traveling southbound on the veterans expwy when we were struck from behind by another driver. My suv bounced off the guard rails on the left and right lanes, the windows blew out, 5 airbags deployed and construction workers were injured from flying debre. We were both carried away by ambulance from the scene with injuries. I nearly lost my child yesterday. I had an appointment scheduled to be @ massage Luxe today (March 11, 2016) @ 11:30am. I called them @ 11am to let them know why i couldn't make my appointment. Bill, the owner, answered the phone and instead of expressing his condolences, he proceeded to tell me how my card would be charged for the cancellation @ which point i asked to speak to the manager on duty, to which he replied: "Im the owner." I spoke on his complete lack of human kindness and let him know my husband and i would be there to cancel our year long membership that cost $120 per month. He replied; "Do what you need to do." I mustered up all the energy i had to hobble up to that door on crutches today and cancel my membership. The receptionist (didn't bother to learn her name) offered no apologies and let me know that by cancelling my membership i would lose my 1.5hrs of banked time. Lol! Classic! I would run, not walk from this place! I have been a member since July 2014. I also received the high pressure sales pitch for the monthly membership and agreed to it. After 12 months, I had used the service only twice and paid over $780 in fees. I called on July 25th about canceling my membership since I was rarely able to use it. I was told I had a great option....to "freeze" the account for only $5 per month. I was advised I could then use up my credits (credit = 1 hr massage) and even the $5 would go to future membership fees. Wow, a no-brainer! I went in around the 28th or so, received a massage (the third one in 13 months) and signed the paperwork for the freeze. No problem up to this point... This evening I made an appointment to go in and use some of my existing 10 credits. I was greeted with the indication my account would need to be taken off freeze and a credit card was needed for the reinstatement fee of $58. I advised I was told the credits would be good and I would not incur any additional membership fees. I further asked why I would pay for an 11th massage when I cannot get to the original ten and my original membership fee would take me through August 23rd. I was advised that was the way the membership and/or "freeze" works. I told the young lady to cancel my massage and cancel my membership in its entirety. She stated I would lose all of my credits. ***Before you visit, and especially before you agree to a membership, think about what my massages cost me. It cost me around $780 for three. Ok, so I have very mixed feelings about this place. My wife and I went in together, and the place looks beautiful, very calming and relaxing. They even have a water massage bed that you can use for free (if it's open) prior to your actual massage, which would normally run another 10-20 per session. The massage staff we've had has been good, and my wife really enjoyed one by the name of Lance...she says he embodies the calmness of the experience. The one aspect I have to agree with other reviewers is the membership push. I thought the emphasis was WAY too strong, and this was from a very smooth talking front office person...she wasn't rude, but the delivery felt like a TV commercial style, "buy now and you also get another set for free!!!" kind of thing. Please continue to sell your services, and tone it down a bit, because I think that tactic is scaring some folks away. I currently have a membership in two places, and we're evaluating which one to keep. read more

I became a member 2 months ago, and I do agree with some of the other reviews, they are pushing the memberships very hard. Thankfully, I've had 3 massages by 3 different therapists and will say, all three of them were fantastic! I've gone to other membership based massage entities and didn't find that to be the case. With a membership, the hydrolux (massage bed) is complementary... Not bad but I've only used it once. I am satisfied with what I get for my membership. I opened an account in the beginning but later closed it because I just couldn't justify paying over $60/mo for spa treatments based on my budget. I will be honest, yes, there was a major pull to get my membership but I can understand why, they're brand new and trying to build clientele. Bill and Jonathan were both cordial and answered all of my questions. I was given a tour of the facility and was offered a free try of the water jet bed they have available for members. From what I saw during my 2 visits, the staff were professional but still learning the ropes. Yes, they want your business, just like any other spa does. You can expect a sales pitch wherever you go. I recently went in for a one hour facial. When I came out afterwards and started to talk to the girls about how many hours I had left she informed me that my one hour facial became a three hour facial because of the products that were used on me during the facial. I said no I went in for one hour facial why am I getting charged for three hours and she said well did the girl in the back go over everything that she was doing to you, I said no she did not she just applied stuff and never told me cost, Never gave me any choice whatsoever. Never once mentioned that the things she was doing we're all extras. The receptionist told me that they are supposed to go over everything with you in the room, I said well she did not and I would've never excepted, I thought it was all part of the one hour facial. I have been going to this place for years for back massages, which I love, I thought since I had some extra hours I would treat myself to a facial, who knew this would be such a big mistake. I called the manager twice asking for them to make this right and they refused. I am extremely disappointed. They in no way cared that I just lost those hours which equal money.
