This has to have been one of the worst massages I've had, and I've had a lot from many massage therapists. The massage was so abrasive my muscles never relaxed. She did ask often about pressure and that was good but overall, I think it did more damage than it helped. I went in for pinched nerve pain and two days later, I was in the same condition all over again. My boyfriend's cousin recommended getting a massage here. She called in an appointment with Laura for a deep tissue massage. A 60 minute deep tissue massage costs $70. It is worth every dollar. Laura can tell where your body is tight and needs work. It hurts in the moment, but once she was finished, I felt amazing when I got up from the table. I will definitely be back. After calling multiple places to find an available time that worked for me, this place was available and the price was reasonable. My masseuse was friendly and nice and got the job done. I wish I would've got her name to request her for next time. The place was clean, and you actually get your full time for what you pay for. I know a lot of places usually cut short an extra 5/10 minutes from my experience but I got a full 60 minutes which was exactly what I needed. I dont mind deep tissue but this was a little rough like a chiropractic massage.If you need any adjustments or alignments this is the place for you.But if you just want a relaxation massage this is certainly not the place for you. Let me start out by saying how nice Lara is. Unbelievably nice! This place is very clean as well. I made an appointment for a 90 minute hot stone massage. The appointment was easy to make and the price was right ($90 + tip obviously) I hate to be one of the dissenters here, but I will never go back. I've had plenty of massages in my day... even MEDICAL massages for my back at the chiro... (in fact I'd had a massage a month prior) but nothing like this ever. Before I say this, I will freely admit that I'm 20lbs overweight and I recognize and understand that when you're out of shape, massages can get uncomfortable. Let me just say, though, that I could not wait for this to end. I asked for Medium. And felt like I got the shit beat out of me. She hand chopped at my arms and legs. She crawled onto the table with me to dig her elbows into me (or maybe it was a stone, I was laying on my stomach so can't say for sure) For the obvious questions, NO I did not feel better later. Or the next day. Or the next FOUR days. Even my SKULL hurt the next day (yes I know you're laughing right now). I could not massage shampoo into my hair the next day without pain, I could not tuck my hair behind my ear without pain, I could not wear my headset at work without pain... The massage was on Monday evening, I was pain free on Friday. I never want to give a poor review for a local business as I always try to support non-chain businesses. Here I think you should definitely look at the other reviews as well. I may have been an isolated incident, I don't know. Clearly everyone else who has gone here loves this place. Came in from Texas on a bouncy flight but that did not stop me from taking a 2 hour nap. I paid for it though, my back and my neck was all tense. Look at couple of places to get a massage but the neighborhood looked rough so I kept looking til I found Massage Heaven. I call to make an appointment but one was not needed. I work doing heavy lifting so a soft massage does not work for me. I tell you this little woman had some strength on her, I was hurting later that put it was a good hurt. The hurt from the flight and the massage both went away as the day went on. I do recommend this place whether it's a gentle or heavy massage that you like it relaxing and good. If I could give zero, I'd give zero. Booked a couples massage here, and when we came in for our session the lady at the register said she had given our time session to another couple that walked in. We weren't even late, we came in 1 minute before our session. They didn't confirm the number or email with the couple that walked-in and just gave them our booked slot. TLDR; 3/10, with so many massage therapists in Tampa I will go somewhere else next time. Sick therapist, low-quality room, didn't honor posted prices. Massage Session: Booked a same-day 90-minute couples massage on Monday. The massage quality itself was pretty good and I left feeling limber. However, my massage therapist was sick and was coughing and sneezing the whole time. I was glad she at least wore a mask but she rarely washed her hands (only once did she get up and wash during the whole sneezing session). It made me uncomfortable and hard to relax during the session. I also started sneezing the day after so it was a contagious cold, but I did take a COVID test and it was negative. I do think it was very unprofessional to do this work while sick and she should have stayed home, maybe I should have spoken up, but it didn't seem like there were any other therapists available and they already charged us so I just powered through. The massage therapist also never checked in with me about pressure or problem areas so I had to tell her instead of being able to relax during the session. My partner said he enjoyed his therapists though and didn't have any issues, so I guess just my bad luck. Environment: The room and sheets were clean but of low quality. My bed had bottom sheets that had holes in them and felt scratchy against my skin. The room was also stale and stuffy and would have benefited from a fan of some sort. Charges: At the end of the session, I attempted to use the yelp coupon and the person who checked us out (I didn't get her name) said she has never seen it before and wouldn't allow us to use it. Then she said it was for the 60-minute session (but they already charged us $200 for the 90 min session, which is what the coupon says is the reg. price). It seemed to me she just didn't want to honor the coupon. Instead of applying it for us, the woman said that we should try to use it "next" time. Unfortunately, I don't think there will be the next time. Disappointed. read more

Then she left the room to answer the front door in the middle of my massage, once the massage was done I paid with my debit card and tipped her $20 cash, she then complained about my tip asking if that was all I was giving her. I had a massage at Crystal Tampa Spa with Lisa. The massage was good, but the customer service was HORRIBLE! Lisa asked for payment BEFORE the massage to INCLUDE TIP. She asked several times. Again, the massage was good. After the massage, both Lisa and Laura waited for me at the desk with the PAID receipt in hand, pointed to the tip line and asked for a tip. I always tip for services rendered, always. However, I do not like for someone or a team to beg for tips. The only thing that was relaxed was my wallet as they tried to drain the funds! Needless to say, this was my FIRST, LAST and ONLY visit to Crystal Tampa Spa. If you choose this place, come with lots of $$$ for tips. read more
