I'm a decent size and very muscular, but very stiff. Many times females have not been strong enough to give a deep enough massage to get my muscles to loosen up. This was not a problem at Pure Massage. I had my back and hamstrings walked on, back and legs cupped (which actually worked), massaged and stretched. They were attentive and nice but not truthful about their prices for a couple massage. I asked via phone call and was told it was $85. I thought wow this is very good , let's try it out. The owned texted me the address and I asked to confirm the price again. When we arrived I asked again and they said yes $85 for couple massage so we filled out some paperwork and went in. At the time of payment the lady says $190 bc they also charge $10 for oil per person! Needless to say , I will not be coming back. Great massage, great staff, very friendly, very clean and very professional! I woke up on a Sunday morning with a lot of tightness in my neck, back, and shoulders. My wife recommended I check out Pure Massage. I showed up with about 10am and no appointment , not knowing what to expect. I couldn't have been happier. They were able to get me right in! 90 minute therapeutic and 30 minute foot. It was awesome!!! Angela did the main massage, which included a shiatsu, oil and cupping. She was fantastic! We were visiting Brandon and looking for a last minute place to get a massage. This place had great reviews. It was a holiday and they were open but we didn't think we'd get in. To my surprise my husband and I were able to get in within a couple of hours. I had a Swedish massage and he had deep tissue. He also did the cupping. Wow! He said he felt great afterwards. My massage was the second best I've ever gotten. I only say that because there was one where I fell asleep so I figure that one must have been super relaxing! We also liked that they charge by the time on the table, not what you have done; i.e., deep tissue is more than a Swedish massage. They also included hot stones! They walk on your back for the first 15 minutes and do some light stretching during the massage. Great service! I called, and they fit me in right away. My back was super tight and hurting all over. The massage therapist, stood on my back worked all my muscles, put some hot oil on me, and was very personable. He then switched using his hands and did a deep tissue massage. I walked out feeling like a new person. He also worked on stretching my hamstrings and gave me healthy tips to avoid the tension in my muscles. Got the couples massage. Honestly didn't know what to expect. It was surprisingly good. For $60 per person, it was amazing. We got the hot stones which was nice and relaxing. To get it out of the way, they do not honor the $10 off Yelp coupon for checking in. I've actually never had any business refuse. She actually tried to pretend it wasn't their business on Yelp at first until I showed her an identical pic of the outside. At the least, this is poor customer service. At most, completely dishonest and a lack of integrity. The massage was just okay. It wasn't the best I've ever had and it wasn't the worst. The one thing that stood out was that hot stones, a warm cloth, and a temple/face massage were included in the regular full body massage. It likely comes with a scalp massage too but she didn't go through with mine because she was a bit intimidated by my afro and couldn't navigate beneath it, so she stopped. I came in for a couples massage, I specifically asked for a relaxing Swedish massage. They gave us a painful ashiatsu massage. I wanted to end the service multiple times. Not only was I in pain and discomfort the therapists were talking the entire time and would not let me get up when I literally said I had to pee so many times. Also they add random fees. read more

I've been coming here for over a year and now it's time I find a new place. Although the massages are great they like to add random fees to your bill. For instance they no longer take credit or debit card without charging $5 per service (not even per card). Prior to this they tried charging me another $10 dollars and so I had to pull out their brochures to show they are over charging smh. May be the best massage I've experienced. Small, clean facility. Friendly staff, my massage therapist was very good. I chose a 60 minute body massage with coconut oil and a 30 minute reflexology foot massage. All was done on the table in a private room, with the foot massage at the end. Getting that done after the massage while still laying down was awesome, felt like I took a muscle relaxer or a Valium or something. The prices were affordable, making it easy for me to leave a generous tip, unlike some of the areas "fancier" spas that charge an arm and a leg, and then try to have you spend the same amount on lotions and creams. The hours and getting in quickly are great and some of the techniques were very helpful but as someone with a back injury who has been to many certified massage therapists I felt they didn't listen and had some bizarre practices. I was up sold $10 more for deep tissue and she started with too much pressure which I mentioned to go lighter at least 3 times and she laughed then she tried to up sell another $10 for oil and left the room with the door open and a new guy came in which was very unsettling having a new person I couldn't see. His technique was much better but more Swedish and I still had to tell him a few times I couldn't move my knee a certain way or roll over quickly as my lumbar hurts laying prone. I lost trust and it was hard to relax because I was worried about him causing more neck pain. And I specifically asked for focus on my neck and scapula but still got a full body massage. No intake and little consideration for my injuries. A knee pillow would have helped me a lot. My neck pain is a little better but it was uncomfortable at times and felt a little like an assembly line not a present and aware healing massage. I don't think it was proper technique for deep tissue and she was confusing hard pressure with slowly warming up the muscle to uncover deeper layers of tension, like pounding a chicken instead of peeling an onion. A little more communication before about fees and during if switching therapists and professional response to my concerns would have given them more stars. And closing the door when we are not fully covered and not leaving the room when you don't want to pay extra for coconut oil, that was very bizarre. read more

My wife and I have been going here for two years now. Never once have we been disappointed. Michael and all the girls do a wonderful job. Very knowledgeable about what needs to be done correctly. Michael explains the process of your ailment and does exactly what needs to be done. All the other girls must have been trained by the Creator himself because I have never had a massage like that before. I am a guy who likes deep tissue and as hard as you can. The place is nicely decorated, good music selection and the whole place was very clean. I was helped by Vicky and she did a fantastic job!
