Excellent massage experience! I was in Dallas on business. My flight was delayed by several hours so I used YELP to see where I might find massage nearby. massage 8 popped up. They were able to fit me in right away. I asked for Joe, due to his many good reviews. He did not disappoint!! Place on Sperry clean and nice, the girl at the front desk was lovely also. Both the receptionist and Joe spoke English very well which was also helpful. I had to massage, my only disappointment is that they are not close to where I live! This place is a great addition to the oaklawn neighborhood ! It's a beautiful spa with great private rooms. The massage beds are big and extremely comfortable. This is my second visit with the therapist Sara. Sara is from Thailand and is a professional. She has the magic touch and works out every knot . I also like her style massage because she does a lot of stretching and walks on your back and uses the ceiling bars to get to the really tight areas on your back. The service is amazing. This was my 5th visit to Massage 8 Cedar Springs but my first time with Joe. The Thai Massage was OUTSTANDING. I scheduled 90 minutes but added an extra 30 minutes because he was so great. Joe knew every area where to go deeper and where to be a little lighter. It was First Class Spa inspired in every way. His 10 years + experience truly showed. My boyfriend & I came for a couple's massage last week. We both had a 90min massage with hot stone added for an extra $10. It was well worth the $. Joe did my Thai massage while Jenny did a Swedish on my bf. We both had a wonderful experience. The facility was clean & nicely decorated. We will definitely return weekly. As a matter of fact we even took advantage of their promotion of buying $500 package to receive 2 free 60min massages for our next visit. I'm new to getting massages done so I tried this place a few times to give a fare review and I must say I would not recommend. first time I went I told the gentleman about the targeted areas of my back And he mainly focused on my legs ,Okay we make mistakes I call back and make another appointment they tell me they don't see me in the system I say okay give them my information and book. Day of appointment the guy hurts my neck I could barely look left and right without being sore for a month and a half . Right , so today needed a massage cause my back is hurting a bit and I've only ever been to this place so I call them again they tell me I'm not in the system and during my massage the front desk kept popping in to talk to my masseuse resulting in him being switched out for another woman. I don't think it's very professional to constantly open doors on someone whose undressed and supposed to be in a relaxing environment. I wouldn't recommend going to try a new place. read more

The first time I came here it was very pleasant and well done. I had a female masseuse named Jenny and she was great. Since then, I've decided to update my review because the last experience was quite horrible. I had a male masseuse, from who I requested a Swedish massage. What was performed was absolutely not a Swedish massage, it was like a torture chamber. When I asked for lighter pressure he said "you might not feel good now but you'll feel good later". Also half the massage was done over a bed sheet. I could feel his breath go deeply into my ear while massaging my neck. Also when he massaged my back he kept clumsily hitting my head with each stroke. At the very end, he watched as I signed my receipt and demanded a good tip. When I told him I cannot justify tipping that way and explained my experience, he made a scene in front of other guests waiting for their massages in the waiting room. It was embarrassing, and I felt like my feedback was handled very unprofessionally. I unfortunately will not be coming back. read more

Just went to get a couples massage with my fiancé and were looking for a good place in the Dallas downtown area. After trying to find availability at some other well reviewed massage studios and finding they were a week or more out on available appointments we came across Massage8. We are very glad we did! Pricing was very competitive with others in the area and was worth every penny. The rooms were very clean, it was a comfortable temperature, and they let us choose if we wanted our masseuse to be male or female. My fiancé's masseuse was Mikki and mine was David. We both got a 90 minute deep tissue massage with essential oil. Both of them were extremely attentive to our needs and to the pressures we preferred. They were also extremely professional and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely be back! read more
