My reliable go-to asian reflexology massage place. I get the 60 min foot reflexology ($35 plus $10 tip) that includes a basic full body massage (on top of your clothes). They are consistently average which is exactly what I'm looking for when I need a last minute massage. I call them before heading over to ask if they have an available appointment in 15 min, which they usually do. I love the flexibility of being able to get in right away. Mediocre (and, at times, painful experience. Had a 45 min foot/leg massage and a 30 min chair massage. Prices are pretty steep. The woman at the front desk was nice, but definitely attempted to direct me to higher priced choices. Foot massage (45mins/$45): Quite a few minutes wasted at the beginning of the session--during "set up." Also, I didn't want my head/neck touched during the foot massage, but it is evidently part of the opening routine. 60% of the time it was pleasant/tolerable. 40% of the time his hands were WAY too aggressive and caused pain. The motions were rather repetitive. I did enjoy the hot stone portion. Chair massage (30mins/$30): Not good. MUCH too aggressive. Caused pain. Several times, I said, "Softer, softer." He seemed to acknowledge, but then within moments he was back to being too aggressive. SO MUCH stabbing with a very bony elbow. Atmosphere: Staff talking to one another during service does not contribute to relaxation. Might have been better if the curtains (or sheets?) had been pulled closed between the beds. Overall, there truly needs to be a way to communicate with the staff. I really needed to convey something about my back but was unable to do so. There are no questions asked about needs/preferences/cautions before service. I really needed them to understand that my skin/body is very sensitive so there truly needed to be a MUCH lighter touch. read more

Great location, friendly service, and excellent reflexology! The address will send you on a wild goose chase!! The storefront is actually on Thockmorton. Definitely call ahead and ask if they can take you. If you're used to a private, swedish massage, this is completely different, so let's go ahead and set some expectations: Expect to be in a room with other people, and in this case, the massage room is open to the front door/reception desk - it will not necessarily be quiet. Expect strong, punchy/quick push motions, as opposed to long strokes. Expect your technician to use elbows (i.e. deep, pointed pressure) on your back, butt, and legs - this may cause bruising/soreness. Expect to have your butt, ear, and even your nose massaged. Expect to keep all of your clothing on, so dress appropriately (I usually wear cotton capris and a long-cut fitted t-shirt) For some of these things, you can go somewhere else to get a better experience, but for others, you may just not enjoy this type of massage. I generally go to a reflexology spot when I find I'm sore, and I always find it rejuvenating. If you get a massage that includes a foot massage portion, 10 minutes of the time will be your feet soaking in water. This time may be used to massage your shoulders, arms, and scalp. I like that you can be laying completely down during your foot massage. The chairs are comfortable and they always cover me with towels and cover my eyes so although it's not a 100% relaxing atmosphere, I'm really comfortable. The only thing I don't like about this particular location is that they are near a lot of bars. So when the door opens, you can hear a lot of the bar noise and sometimes you can even hear the music when the doors are closed. Worse, though, is when some of the happy bar-goers decide to drop in wanting a massage and are both loud and disruptive to the guests as well as being rude to the staff. This is all out of the control of the business owners, but it's worth mentioning. Also, parking can be difficult in this area. Both of these are trade-offs given its a 5-minute drive from where I live. I'll be back here again, and would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a reflexology experience. read more

I've received the full body-foot massage as well as a 30 minute chair massage and was happy with both experiences. I've had better full body massages at foot spas in other cities, but overall it was enjoyable. I actually enjoyed the chair massage more -- though I wish he'd spent a bit more time or pressure with my neck, he did a wonder on my very stiff upper back and really worked my knots. My husband and I spent an obscene amount of money on a couples massage at our hotel. We left our massages disappointed, in need of a massage and over $400 poorer. Although it was relaxing our knots and sore spots were still aching. On a whim we decided to try this massage place. I am so happy we did. Of course it didn't have the same ambiance and cucumber water or salt scrub for your hands in the bathroom but our massages were exactly what we needed. I love how close this place is to my house so I've been many times. But I really need to stop giving it a chance because I'm always disappointed. Every single time I come in, without fail, I am very rushed in choosing a massage. I cannot look at the menu for two seconds without someone saying "this one!" And pointing to something. I usually just say "I'm not sure yet", then they pint to something else and say "this one!". I tell them I just need a minute and the immediate response is something like "what you want?!". I walk in knowing I will be rushed. Every. Single. Time. It is the opposite of relaxing. Then I usually feel that the massage is done in either very nonchalant way or an aggressive way. Always as if the person does not care about my experience at all. I never feel relaxed after leaving and am done coming simply because of its convenience. There are about 4-5 other places offering the same products off Lovers Lane who will take MUCH better care of you. I will just stick to driving a little more out of my way. I've been coming to this place on and off for years and it's always the same. I no longer expect anything other than an awful experience. I used to enjoy this place, but the past few times have been very disappointing. Just now, after insisting that I should upgrade my time and package, I did not. So during my massage, the massuesse applied the same two techniques the entire tume: rubbing up and down, cracking of the knuckles. It was such a half ass attempt that I told them to stop mid way through, and paid for half an hour. Located right around Wycliff and Cedar Springs. Could be easily missed since it is not directly seen off Cedar Springs, but rather on the side street. Parking can be a little tight in the parking lot across from them. Inside it is not huge, but rather cozy. They have some massage chairs you can see when you first come in with oriential music playing. And they have day sofa's in the back for foot and back massages. I went for the hour long foot massage which include the scalp, arms, hands, legs, calfs, and feet. Unlike my previous massage experiences, they gave total attention to the massage, not a cell phone or talking to someone else while massaging me with one hand. When I asked for the name of my massuse, he pointed to a tag with a number one on it. They use numbers for names since some may not be able to pronounce their names correctly. And mine was number 1 which was excellent. I think he might have even went a little over the one hour. I started to put my shoes on, and he stopped me because he was just getting hot towels for my feet. They charged $70 per hour, for either a combination back, neck foot, or just a foot massage with oils, my choice. I gave him a $25 tip since I felt he took his time and did well. I have been to many reflexology places. Not tons, but enough to know good ones from the bad in Dallas. Many that I have been to are often rude and want you to get out as soon as possible. The staff here was extremely friendly, and went out if their way to make me feel comfortable. Today was my bday and they really helped relieve me of my daily stresses and long work hours. I got the full body 90 minute massage which includes the feet. The masseuse was professional and very thorough with each of my obvious trouble areas. He took extra time to ensure that it was all worked out. When we were through, they asked how my massage was and seemed genuinely interested. This will be my go-to for massages from here on out. I highly recommend this place over many pricier options. The only con that I will mention is that you can hear the outside noises a bit and there were a few times that I could hear phone messages. One of the best foot spa massage places I've been to. I went with a group of my coworkers and they accommodated us right away! (5 of us) The pressure was spot on. I fell asleep which usually doesn't happen, since the room is shared or it's noisy. This wasn't the case here. Even the room temperature was perfect since it's been cold! Oh gosh. Where do I start. My friends and I decided to get massages here since it was my friend's birthday weekend. We were running a little behind, so my friend called in advance to let them know we'd be about ~15 minutes late to which they replied "okay." I completely understand that being late is frustrating to a business, but I believe the response was unnecessary and extremely rude. We get there, and the owner is clearly very peeved. As they are getting things ready, one of the masseuses is also clearly peeved and throws his towel onto the massage table. Unfortunately, the owner was assigned to start my massage. She was speaking very loudly as she gave me a "massage" (more like pounding around in a huff), and she would often disappear at random. It also turned out that her shouting was directed at my friend who was getting a massage next to me. Because my friend can understand Chinese, the owner tapped her and woke her up mid-massage just to rant to her about how frustrated she was that we were late. The shouting (interspersed with very prolonged sighs) was incredibly distracting to all of our massages. In fact, the owner was hushing the guests at the front when they were being too loud, and ironically, she was definitely the loudest and most disruptive. Eventually, another masseuse took over, and he was much better. The shouting did stop, and in the end, it ended up being a decent massage. Not great, not bad but very expensive at $50 (plus tip) for 30 minutes. $50 still buys an hour "combination" massage at many good places around time. I don't want to leave negative reviews on Yelp but I need to do this since the owner should know how bad their service is and try to improve it. I stopped by this place 3 months ago. At that time the service and massage itself were so good. However, something has changed and this time (April 2019) experience is totally different from last time. I said I wanted to take "30mins" foot massage but a lady at a counter tried to make me take 60mins combo or another more expensive menu. After I asked her again and again, she accepted my request reluctantly. So, massage. HORRIBLE!!! For left leg, massage guy just rubbed all the time. NO PRESSURE. I felt like he just killed time with rubbing my leg. So I asked him to make more pressure. What's next? TOO HARD. He did not push the point but he just pushed my whole foot with his all strength. It was not massage. Just hurt so much. I'm sure he does not know how to do "foot reflexology" in the right way. Also, his hand smelled of tobacco. No way!!! There were lots of workers who were sitting outside and smoked. I assume that they did not wash their hand before starting massage... I totally regretted that I stopped by and spent my money here. So, here is the REAL review of this place. It once was terrific. Recently (last 6 months), it has gone down hill. All of the staff smoke outside of the business, they come in, their hands smell like smoke and if one of them aren't giving a massage, they are outside smoking and the smell comes in the business. There is a price list, however, their a few staff who attempt to "trick" customers into useless upgrades and then when done, they will suggest their tips by showing you other individuals credit card receipts - yes, their actual receipts. Their equipment is old, their staff rude (they talk through out the massage - my person actually took a personal cell phone call while doing my massage)...it is NOT relaxing. I want to like this place so bad. It's close to my office and you can usually walk right in and hop on a table. I am a massage therapist myself and after a long day this would be a great option. My issues are that they never listen or understand me. I ask for arms and feet and I get something totally different. The biggest issue I have is that they work on or too close to my spine (on bone). This is a huge no no in the massage world. More times than not, these massages are painful. I keep trying them out hoping it gets better. Note: sometimes they are great so go figure. read more

My friend had just graduated from her Master's program at SMU while teaching a rambunctious class of kindergarteners for the last two years so I INSISTED that we get a massage to unwind. I LOVE reflexology and literally think that it is the reason for my sciatica getting significantly better. This was a lovely place and thank goodness I don't live in Dallas, otherwise I would probably be here a few times a week! ;) We called about 10 minutes ahead and they got us right in (on a Sunday!). However, they were busy so if you plan to go, I would definitely call first! The music was calming and the chairs/beds were comfy. They lay a towel over the top of you so that you feel tucked in and cozy. They started with an amazing scalp and shoulder massage, then moved on to the feet, then flipped me over and massaged my back, neck, and the back of my legs. HOLY HEAVEN. It was dimly lit, which I liked... but the guy who did my massage had one speed - deeper tissue. By the time he finished the chair massage I felt like I'd spent time with bubba at folsom prison. I don't think you are supposed to endure a massage and hope to hell the time passes faster... The massage was a little close up and personal, body leaning on mine, hand on my ass... hmmm, did I pay for extras? I asked more than once for him to take it easy... that would last about 30 seconds before he was pushing on me like a linebacker. Move on to the "reflexology" massage.... the upper body part was a bit odd... and I think I got a little arm to the boob multiple times. I have had regular reflexology foot work done at King Spa where they really work them over according to the charts... this was NOT that. At first it was nice... then, after he worked that same spots for the 20th time it was NOT nice. I see that some find this place relaxing and for the price I can see why... but I wouldn't suggest the chair or full body it at all unless you like deep tissue and the foot part was just ok. Tucked behind Italia Express and facing Throckmorton, the tiny haven is easily missed if not for the neon foot sign. A Chinese owned and operated establishment, they practice the art of foot reflexology to stimulate overall health of the body through pressure points. I only had time for a 30 minute foot massage, but you get so much more out of it. They start out with a mini scalp and facial massage and move down to your shoulders and arms as your feet soak in wooden tubs of hot water (think jacuzzi for your feet). And when they finally move to your feet, where they spend the majority of the time, but they also attend to your calves as well. They'll gently rub the tops of your legs to increase circulation and it's almost a whole body experience which is awesome. If you like hard, it hurts, massages, this place is for you. If you prefer softer hands just let them know prior to the massage and they will adjust accordingly. I've been waiting for a place like this to open up in my neighborhood and now I finally have an inexpensive retreat to get the knots worked out. And when you leave, no one will hear because you'll be so light on your feet. 30 minute foot massage = the best $20 you'll spend They also offer full back massages. Great new place for reflexology! As you can see from my other reviews I've visited several of these types of foot massage/reflexology places. This is one of the best. I chose the chair massage with foot reflexology. The chair massage was amazing...don't feel shy, the guy I had was open to communication...I gave him a thumbs up a couple times and he knew what he had done right and repeated. I didn't have to tell him to ease up, but I can see it being a bit deep for some. The foot portion was heaven. He did everything right, with zero issues. The location was clean, quiet, and dimly lit, even in the middle of the day. I left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. They offer a frequent reward card and I predict I will fill it up quickly! The hour package I chose was $45, but there are numerous options. English is not their first language, so be patient and realistic. Enjoy! read more
