Chris is very off-putting and not very personable and I didn't feel very welcome at first but the massage went okay. I decided to go back a second time because I felt like it helped in some ways, but he really hurt me this second time. I could feel my shoulder blade popping a lot and when I winced he whispered into my ear just "you feel that?". Then he had the audacity to give me a hard time for having a "stiff neck" and said it was "all in my head". I have been feeling crappy all day the next day. I was trying to give him a chance but honestly he is rude and I think I can do better. He is not very welcoming to newcomers nor is he gentle at times. I would say that if he just kept his mouth shut instead of acting like a know-it-all, the process would have maybe garnered him 3 stars. Besides, if something were wrong, all he had to do was tell me to relax and help me with releasing more tension for him to work with. Don't give me flack for something that I can't help. I'm still nervous and new to massages as a way of therapy. Not a great way to keep a customer. I won't be coming back. Too expensive to have someone treat me like garbage and also make me feel bad too. Would give zero stars if I could!!!

I tell you all this not to impress you, but to impress upon you that I can speak on this with some authority. No one, not one place I've been to, comes close to Cemetria. She is phenomenal. It is very clear that she's an outstanding communicator, has anticipated every client need, and more than anything, that she's passionate about her work and is astonishingly good at it. I could go on about her delightful studio, great sense of humor, careful covid considerations, joyful attitude -- but I suspect you're after a great massage - and let me tell you - there is no better - certainly not in Dallas and I would argue there's no better in the nation.

I agreed because I thought it would be a more controlled, therapeutic technique, but it ended up being extremely intense and made the experience uncomfortable. This may be a good fit for someone who likes extremely deep, intense pressure, and I can't speak to their other types of massages, but I personally would not get the deep tissue massage here again.

Unfortunately, I just received a strange call today informing me that they had decided to cancel my membership. Because I can no longer lay down on my back due to a medical condition, I lied down on each of my sides to receive a back massage. Apparently, the masseuse could not keep the blanket over me the whole time which, according to their policy, constitutes indecent exposure. That was the reason they gave me to explain their decision to cancel my membership. The least they could have done is initiate a conversation with me to inform me of their policy first and try to find an arrangement to accommodate me! This is terrible customer service!
