It was definitely all about her comfort and nothing about the clients! This seems to be an ongoing issue with this place. Happy customers are returning customers and Im not a happy customer. When I arrived, Jeannie was very friendly and walked me through the process. She has many years of experience, and I could really tell that she wanted to tailor my massage to me. Because the Groupon is strictly for the aromatherapy massage, she focuses on the whole body, but she definitely spent extra time trying to work my shoulders and upper back (even though she didn't have to) because I said that they were bothering me. I have lots of orthopedic pain issues and generally choose deep tissue massage. Christina's technique is very effective in treating deep knots and tension and I always leave feeling better. She utilizes a variety of techniques and customizes her approach to the needs of the client. Her office space is nice and soothing and parking is easy. Aromatherapy and hot compress and towels are integrated into even the most basic massage. She also offers tuning fork therapy which has been effective for me in reducing pain and tension. My first concern was when I called to schedule my Groupon appointment. The phone was not answered professionally. When I asked who I was speaking with, the response was, "Well, who are you trying to call?" This immediately made me question whether I wanted to keep the appointment. She later apologized and explained that someone had been "playing on her phone," which I appreciated. During that conversation, I was told a code would be sent for building access. It was never sent, and I had to follow up multiple times. I didn't receive the code until mid-morning Saturday, the day of our appointment. We arrived at 3:00 p.m. for our couples massage, but no one was there. We stood in the hallway waiting for her and her partner to arrive. Once inside, we were asked to sit on the sofa while the room was prepared. We were not offered water, a mimosa, or any refreshment. When shown to the massage room, we were instructed to undress and get on the tables. No robes were offered. Before the massage, I explained that I work at a desk and sit most of the day, so I specifically wanted my back and shoulders addressed. I also explained that my partner is a truck driver and that I was concerned about the tension in his back. Although we booked Swedish massage, we communicated that we wanted most of the time focused on our backs. I even offered to pay the additional $25 per person for deep tissue. Unfortunately, during my massage, the therapist could clearly feel the knots and tension in my back but essentially passed over them rather than working them out. I left feeling that the areas I specifically identified were not adequately addressed. My partner was happy with his massage, although it was his first and he had no basis for comparison. His only concern was the therapist's breath when speaking closely to him, which should be considered when working in such close proximity to clients. We did tip well because we appreciate people's time and effort. However, overall, I felt my money could have been better spent. I would have rather paid a little more for the polished experience I expected, which I now intend to visit the other therapist recommended at the Omni to address the tension that wasn't relieved. I'm sharing this review in hopes the owner will take the feedback constructively. Clients are paying for an experience--not just a massage. Professional communication, preparation, hospitality, cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail all matter. Unfortunately, I would not return to or recommend Honeybee Massage & Wellness. I sincerely hope they use this feedback as an opportunity to improve and "up their game.

The reviews of Ross are all true, she is amazing!…read more I have been dealing with a pinched nerve in my neck/shoulder for more months than I care to admit...and have spent $3k+ trying to find a way to heal and not be in pain everyday. I tried chiropractic care, physical therapy, and various other massage therapist. Only 1 massage therapist has made a significant positive difference - and he lives all the way in Washington State! I scoured the internet and yelp for medical massages - I don't need the fluff of a spa or a place to relax, I needed someone to get in there and work out that pinched nerve! I needed results! I can't thank Ross enough for how much time and care she took when working on me last week. She was thorough, and had lots of tricks up her sleeves including aromatherapy and some metal scraping tools. I have never had someone use a fascia tool on me and was absolutely thrilled!! Ohhh wee....I was in pain on the table and was sore after...but the massage worked! My pain isn't as bad and for the first time in 4 months i was able to sleep on the side of the pinched nerve!! I found my GO TO massage therapist in Dallas and am considering getting a membership for a 1 hour tune up per month to see Ross.
