I purposely had a sport massage as it "targets a specific area of the body that is more vulnerable to injury or stress". At the beginning I said my left quad needed attention ('ve been in pain for about 2 weeks now). Perhaps I wasn't clear. The massage I received was a full body massage which included my upper back/shoulders where I hold a lot of tense. It was beneficial but as I understand it, it was not what I signed up for. During the massage, I asked if she would do my quads too. She did towards the end. Unfortunately I left the spa with the same pain in my left hip and quad that I walked in with.
